The room was comfortable, with a lovely bed. Nice to have tea/coffee making facilities. Great shower! All spotlessly clean. I was dubious about all check-in and queries being online only but had great contact from the host, who answered quickly. Good location and free parking close by was a bonus. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed when we visited so will have to return for a meal!
Great to have a fully opening window as the room we had got very warm. No remote for the air con or fan unfortunately. No view in the rear room but it was nice and quiet.

The owner's of The Phoenix Rooms couldn't of been more helpful! Exceptional room and facilities and due to weather problems disrupting my original plans, they went out of their way to make my stay more enjoyable, so good I extended my stay two more nights. Best of all, the food in their downstairs Italian restaurant was phenomenally good, authentic homemade Italian cooking at it's finest! Bellissimo!! Grazie di tutto!

Loved the room I stayed in the yellow room it’s was really nicely decorated and the furniture was really tasteful up cycled, vintage bijou all rolled into one. Staff were great really friendly owners lovely so helpful really felt at home

Clean room, good bathroom, large bed. Just used as a sleep over while in transit so fit for purpose and good value.
Parking a short walk away (double yellows outside or 30mins limit nearby so need to park down the road for off streetparking. Very creaky stairs (sorry neighbours). The front door to the street needs fixing (safe but just for reassurance).

The room was much bigger than expected. There was tea, ironing board and hair dryer. The owners are very nice and the restaurant downstairs is definitely worth a visit.

It is not very good with getting into the front door or the room door. If you arrive on a Monday to Thursday the restaurant is closed so there is no one to show you how the doors are operated.

Fabulous host who took our booking last minute. We had an amazing Italian meal in her restaurant below, which was beautifully decorated in an Italian, rustic style. She makes the most amazing Pizzas! :)
