We loved everything about Nik's. We had a really easy self check in. The communal areas were clean and warm. Our room had plenty of space and was well furnished and very comfortable. The shower was large and worked well. The bottle of fresh milk left for us in the fridge was a nice touch and very welcome. As we were staying on a Saturday night, we booked dinner at Nik's restaurant. I'm glad we booked as the food was excellent and it was full of local residents who clearly come back regularly.

There was no breakfast service, but there is an excellent cafe across the road and a large Coop Round the corner. Some of the reviews mentioned late night noise from nearby pubs. There was some noise, but it wasn't too loud and didn't go on too late.

It was perfect for our needs. My wife and I wanted to visit the Gower coast with our Grandson. We thought it was good value for the money, it was clean and well presented. We brought our own tea and coffee; no need and there was even milk in the fridge. The cleaners looked after our dirty crockery. There are plenty of places to get breakfast and an evening meal nearby and the local coop was a short walk away.

The pub across the road can be noisy, but there is not much the owner can do about that. They have obviously reacted to previous reviews as ear plugs were provided. Fortunately the noise did seem to end at 11pm. We stayed in apartment 2 and a more powerful shower would have been nice.

Really nice location, central in the village. Very quiet room. It is above a restaurant, but you hear nothing from it. The internet was working perfectly. There was tea and coffee available in the room, good shampoo and soap in the private bathroom. You have a private entrance, so no need to walk through the restaurant to go out of the room. The bathroom was the door nearby the sleeping room, but it was a private bathroom, only for this room.

The lamps were a bit weak, a sort of warm and cozy orange light. I could have enjoyed a stronger light to read. Generally I was very satisfied of the room.

The room was unexpectedly a "flatlet". We had a bedroom with a really modern beautiful shower and a living room with kitchenette comprising sink, microwave & refrigerator. I especially liked that we had fresh milk in a bottle instead of those tiny little pots that are hard to open without spilling and there were also bottles of water in the fridge. The towels were luxurious and bed and sofa bed comfy. Really good value for money and quite unexpected. The keysafe & check in instructions were clear and easy to follow and the stairs to the first floor, not too steep. Good lock on the door. The room was opposite a pub and pizzeria and we stayed on a Saturday night so expected some noise but it was only a hum of chatter with people having a nice time on an unexpected warm evening. No complaints regarding the noise level. The apartment is well situated for a walk down to the beach which is another hidden gem. I've added some photos of our room but they are after we have "lived" in it so not as pristine as when we arrived.

To be honest I had expected the room above a restaurant to be, shall we say "basic", but it wasn't like that at all. It was nicely decorated and furnished.

Great location, perfect and easy check in and the room was stunning. Beautiful restaurant underneath, highly recommend the mousakka. The staff were so attentive they couldn't do enough and got to meet Nik the chef who checked in on each table about the food. Highly recommend. This is our second trip we've now made it a location each year to celebrate a birthday!

Our room was front facing so there are a couple of pubs opposite they were a little loud but the windows wee double glazed so didn't hear much.

The room was very spacious and warmly furnished - you feel very welcome. Microwave, crockery, tea/coffee and a refrigerator with bottles of water and fresh milk - nice touch! The restaurant was amazing - very friendly, lovely food with big portions very reasonably priced. We stayed here a few years ago (same room, actually) and have eaten here many times in the days when it was a café and served a fabulous breakfast. It was our first time in the new Greek restaurant and can not wait to visit again! Well done, Nik and Team.

Noise at night as opposite a bar

Great location, across the road from the beach. We had room 1 and room 5 for 2 adults and 3 children. We mainly used room 1 as it was big enough for the 5 of us to chill. Room 5 was very small but was OK for 2 of us just to sleep in. The beds were amazing!!! Lovely and comfy!

A little noisy at times but that can't be helped as its across the road from the pub. Could have done with a mini fridge or cool box on the window sill in room 5 just for the milk as it had gone off in the heat. Would have liked housekeeping to replenish tea/coffee empty bins etc each day but overall a lovely place to stay for a few days.

Very close to the beach, with a close-by free car park - I noticed an EV charger is being installed there; this would encourage me to return again. Locals in the pub over the road were a bit noisy but OK. The curtains in the bedroom were great at keeping morning light out.

I would have liked a recycling bin and some wine glasses (but obvs coped without.) Blinds in the living area let lots of light in still, when closed

The accommodation itself totally deserves a 10. It was spotless, spacious and stylish with everything you could need.

Not the owner's fault, but we couldn't sleep at all until the early hours due to the loud music and behaviour from customers at the pub opposite who had spilled into the street. We booked the family room but our son stayed home last minute. Good job he did as no way would we have wanted him to hear the shouting and swearing. The noise was excessive and went on for hours from 10.30pm onwards. Double glazing would perhaps help?
