Chef was welcoming, only staff member present, serving in bar too Very few guests so very quiet well decorated ,bed clean and comfortable, topper to mattress. Marius, all things to all people. Tried.very hard to please Restaurant meals very good quality Renovated like “the chateau” work in progress,owner friendly

No staff on duty upon arrival . no welcome . printed notice on bar to ring mobile for instructions as to room number,keys in the doors. Internet access lacking security ,no direct usb sockets therefore need adapters to plug into wall sockets.cold tap in bathroom loose. shower hose blackened, poss mould, flatpack wardrobe in need of attention as drawer to base not fitting no access to under bed for vaccuming cold plates used for hot food service. No padding on chairs in restaurant. condensation on bedroom windows needs attention allowing for age of Victorian building toilet seat not fixed

Everything! There is nothing not to like about this place. Between the hotel itself and the staff, it was a perfectly beautiful experience. Marius, the chef, was not only a spectacular cook but also a warm, kind and lovely man. Nothing was too much trouble, anything myself and my wife wanted to eat he would cook. The room was spotless and gorgeously decorated. The atmosphere throughout the whole building is warm, relaxed, friendly and like a home from home. We absolutely loved this hotel and will 100% be visiting again in the near future!

There was nothing not to like here, it was perfect.

The hotel was amazing, very clean everyone was very helpfull and could not do enough to make my stay a good one, the food in the restaurant was fantastic and the staff looked after me completely. Nothing was to much trouble. Although the hotel was a little away from the main town this made the stay a piece full one, I will be returning.

The service provided at this beautiful old building with private parking was second to none and the cooked breakfast was delicious and well presented. The management team was very welcoming and made me feel at home. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and I would highly recommend a stay at this venue.

The building is dated and some minor repairs were in progress during my stay but this is to be expected with a magnificent old building and it did not hamper my appreciation of the hard work and effort of the management team.

The booking we made did not include any meals at all, however on arrival we were made aware that a breakfast and or evening meal could be provided when required, this suited us as we are usually out all day but the option was always there. We did eat at the hotel on a couple of occasions and the food was exceptional the customer care and consideration was excellent throughout

Chef Marius, Steve and the rest of the team were very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The food was delicious. There is also a nice bird wildlife park five-minute drive away.

Super Marius! The whole experience was so good. Lovely period hotel , excellent food , great beer , huge selection of spirits and a very welcome warm atmosphere. Lovely clean room with attatched bathroom. Really nice too stay at a hotel where they go the extra mile. Thanks Marius , we will definitely be back.

I had an omelette and my husband had Full English breakfast; (it was cooked to our taste), in addition, Continental options.

Lovely building set in private grounds. Close to some amazing places to visit. Top breakfast and the owner, Stephen, couldn't be more friendly. Gave us a gorgeous place to visit, 3 Cliffs Bay. Highly recommended.

Well signposted to find - really appreciated all the care and thoughtfulness in organising, and accommodating my Mother and myself. Beautifully restored, character filled property - clean, bright, and spacious. Lovely, quiet location.
