Ashburnham Hotel

The staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble above and beyond kept kitchen open so.we.could all eat with our friends we went to.meet The manager Stacie was outstanding made us feel.so comfortable she.was.amazing as was all the staff the food was great especially the ribeye steak rooms very very clean ,huge bed,would have preferred a shower instead of the posh slipper bath The weather was great played.golf at the ashburnham golf club went to the beach wish I could have stayed for.the week A big thank you to Stacie and all the staff at the ashburnham hotel 10 is not high enough 20/10

Excellent location,very friendly staff,clean and airy room,superb cooked breakfast on hot plates,good coffee,and plenty of tea and coffee in your room all in all very good. The room was spacious but only one hanging wardrobe but plenty of storage in the built in drawers in the bed which I believe to be queen size. Small dressing table and two bedside cabinets. Very very quiet room overlooking the rear with good views of the trees and surrounding hillside. Very quiet at night no disturbance whatsoever. Lastly the maid service was excellent and nice to talk to.

The bathroom is dated but plenty of room with a shower over the bath which basically is useless and needs replacing but usable. The extra we payed for the premiere room for a bath with a jacuzzi function unfortunately did not work. The sinks cold water tap needs to run some considerable time as hot water comes out of it for some reason. We mentioned this on checking out as we felt they were minor things and as we enjoyed our stay we hoped it is rectified for the next guest.

5 star staff without exception. Fantastic Welsh breakfast and always a good menu. Well situated for various attractions and the Welsh countryside and Coastal Path.

Bed was very comfortable but they could upgrade their pillows. Revamp the tubs and planting at the front to improve first impression. More coat hangers!

The lady in reception was lovely. So friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect for our needs. Breakfast was nice, and the takeaway packed lunch was a great bonus (saved us trying to find a shop that sold a sandwich). The view from the room was of a field (with a horse) and the golf course area opposite. We will certainly visit again if we are in the area.

Nothing not to like really.

Staff very helpful and polite. Breakfast in the morning was excellent as usual would never miss it. Hotel is situated nicely if you want to explore South Wales. Always stay there as I know I would get value for my money.

Nothing it’s good as it can be.

We had a lovely stay here. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and we were very well looked after. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was very good. A typical 'pub style' menu I would say, - pies, lasagne, fish and chips, scampi, curry etc etc, good portion size and an excellent variety of home cooked puddings. We tried the laverbread and cockles for starter which was delicious. Ashley was our superb waiter, looked after us very well and kept us laughing throughout the evening. The bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. Yes, the rooms could really do with an update, but this was a well run, clean hotel with clearly hard working, helpful and committed staff. When you're on holiday you hope for a comfortable nights sleep in a clean room/clean bathroom/hot water. Tea/coffee in the room etc etc. This ticked all the boxes. We headed to Tenby for the day due to bad weather, so unfortunately didn't get to enjoy the beautiful beaches and country park locally - but we'll do this next time.

Breakfast was excellent, staff very friendly. Room had everything we needed; things were replaced as they were used. Very clean. Pleasant airy room. Plenty of parking spaces.

Decorations looked a bit tired but very satisfactory for a comfortable stay and good taste. Trains were noisy across the way but they didn't seem to operate at night so didn't stop us sleeping

The staff were amazing: so welcoming, eager to assist and exceptionally respectful of us as valued guests. It was so pleasing to see the space in our room and bathroom. The refurbishment has been done very well:the room looked really lovely on arrival. Excellent breakfast (not included).

The hotel is clean, well-presented with a good size bar and restaurant. Everything was spread out for COVID restrictions so a safe, relaxed feeling. Staff were exceptionally friendly, efficient, keen to help. The food was OK, a bit disappointing but nothing you could complain about. A good 3* hotel.

It is an old building so the floor in the bedroom was very creaky - no creeping about to the bathroom in the night without waking everyone!

The location and the staff were great. The room matched our expectations too. Parking was good and the pub next door also helped us have a lovely Weeknd away.

The breakfast was not great value for money and the quality of the cooked breakfast was not amazing.
