The hotel was ideally situated for our needs i.e. International rugby, various restaurants and bars nearby and in a quiet area of London. Room was very clean and well catered for in the tea department.

very convenient location in a period building across the road from kings cross st Pancras on a green quiet square. walking distance from Soho and all the cool bars and restaurants around Bloomsbury. friendly greeting. lovely staff, very clean. everything you need in your room helpfully provided an iron and ironing board 24 hour concierge. felt very safe snd welcome as a single female traveller.

small room (but it was a single) basic decor but if you don’t need anything fancy this was perfect for an overnight stay near the station.

We had a wonderful stay 3 days ago and I would recommend Howard Winchester to anyone. It was clean and well looked after. We came much too early for checking in but the wonderful lady in reception, possibly manager or owner, went out of her way to get our room finished as we just came in from a long tiresome flight. The location is fantastic with a couple of minutes to underground, trains and buses. Plenty of great restaurants in the area.

We were on the very top floor and without air conditioning it got a bit warm at night even with the window open and the last night the WiFi was so slow to the point of non existing. Something to keep in mind is that these buildings are a little older so the stairs are steep and narrow so not great if you have large or heavy suitcases, but I’m convinced the staff would help you out if needed.

Surprisingly quiet location. Close to tube and rail. Nice welcome and friendly staff. Clean. Deceptively large shower which worked well.

We were given a room on the ground floor, we had asked for that or a first floor room. Room had a kettle with tea, coffee and milk. A powerful hairdryer (on request). TV with Netflix. A large mirror. Cubby holes for clothes and a closet with hangers. Helpful friendly staff 24 hours a day. Ground floor rooms. Bedside cabinets and lights, usb sockets and electric sockets. Roomy bedroom. Window that opens, but security restricted opening, which was good.

Ignore the photos, they didn't match our room. There is NO safety deposit box, which was the MAIN reason we had booked here! The rooms have been refurbished and layouts have changed. No fridge (but knew this before we arrived). Room fan was too loud and powerful, so we had to open the window. Unfortunately, although the street was quiet, a lot of people hung around the outside, smoking and talking, so it was a bit noisy. There is no lift and 3 separate staircases, as it is more than one building combined. You have to hand in the room key every time you leave the hotel. The ensuite bathroom was very small and had a step up to go in! However it only had a shower and toilet inside, the wash basin was in the bedroom!

Very close to the station so super convenient for an early morning Eurostar check in. Quite quiet even though it’s very close to the main roads. Staff were friendly and the shower gel smells amazing. Booking said shared toilet which I assumed was a bathroom but was pleasantly surprised to have a sink and shower in the room, it’s literally just a shared actual toilet. Great coffee and tea facilities and even the single room had quite a big bed, and a fan because it was hot.

The Tv noise from the other room could be heard quite clearly and there’s no lift so lugging my suitcase to the top floor was a bit of a workout on the narrow stairs. The carpet/ floor was a bit old and made a funny sound.

Location is great, if you arrive by train/Eurostar. Surprisingly quiet for being very close to the station, next to a little park. Our room was very clean and had everything you needed: shampoo/shower gel, enough towels, tv, good wi fi connection and a little kettle for tea/coffee. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Prepare that there is no lift in the building, in case you come with heavy luggage. The sound isolation is not the best, you will hear doors slamming in the corridor. Overall, we are satisfied with our stay but it is not worth the money paid (but it's London).

I have stayed before so knew the hotel and that it is clean, comfortable, with friendly, helpful staff. It is a short walk from Kings Cross Station in a reasonably pleasant area. A bit of building work going on locally but didn't notice any noise. I was really happy that the receptionist recognised that I was walking with a stick and she changed my original room up stairs to a ground floor room which was much easier for me. As the building is listed they haven't, and can't, install a lift. This is not a problem as there are ground floor rooms - just something to maybe be aware of and maybe check out before if it matters to you. I thought the price I paid was really good value for the location and level of comfort. The front door is kept locked with 24 hour reception staff so it feels nice and secure. I found the room quiet, not much noise from other rooms. Tea/coffee facilities in room is good and plenty of snack options to buy at the station or locally as there is no breakfast but I'm happy with that - gives me a better price and more flexibility. I will happily stay again.

I can't think of anything. Maybe to help use less plastic shower gel dispensers could be used and topped up?

First impressions outside nice and cleanly kept frontage. new windows no litter etc. Quaint little reception area but very cosy. Nice little single room at front of property looking onto the gardens and childrens play area. Room ideal for 1 person had everything you need onsuite, small wardrobe, stool, bin, mirror, tv, coffee facilities, Screens and curtains clean and modern. Bed was very comfy and slightly wider than your normal single bed.

Only slight complaint was the small corridor area to my room which had another 2 rooms going off it as well . People coming in and out of their room banging their doors shut although possibly not there fault as if I recall they have fire hinges. I stayed 6 nights and on the Saturday there were a bunch of Newcastle supporters staying as well as they returned to the Hotel same time as me that evening even though they were a bit rowdy coming in the door with me b. Never heard a noise from them after that.

Location of this hotel was really nice, with King's Cross train/underground station just a 2 minute walk away. There were lots of good restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel itself was a lovely little place with friendly and cheerful staff. Our Room was small, but more than enough for a few nights. Room was noticeably clean and the hotel overall smelled nice and clean. Good value for the price.

The bathroom sink was in the room next to bed. There was no option for breakfast. Bed was quite soft, so if you are used to more of a harder mattresses, you might get a sore back. Building was old, so in the daytime/evening there were some noises coming from people walking upstairs and the stairwell (floors and doors creaking). At night it was peaceful and quiet.
