The Rokxy Townhouse - Kings Cross

The location, decoration, staff, personal touches, waterfall shower with steaming hot water, good lighting, code entry over key card & cleanliness were great.

The corridors were very dark, it was unclear how to open front door, the TV aerial reception was intermittent, no aircon meant the room was very hot (in Nov), limited shelf space, tiny bathroom, two ceiling lights not working and only one bin.

Cute little townhouse 3 min walk from Kings Cross Station. Amazing friendly and helpful staff, from writing to them before arrival and chatting throughout the stay. Neil & Yanni are fabulous guys and can't do enough for you. Note: you need to look out for your email from Kingscrosshotelsgroup for your entry code to the front door and to your room. There is no lift, you could be on the top floor, be prepared to carry your luggage up tiny stairs. Nicely decorated, super clean and well looked after. Rain shower was lovely, but be warned, there is no hand held shower head, so bring a shower cap if you don't want wet hair every wash. Comfy pillows. Mattress was too soft for us as we are used to firm, but I suspect this will be super cozy for those that like it softer. Fresh clean bedding. Beware if you have large suitcases, the rooms are very tiny & it's tight for moving around, always stepping over the cases. We were lucky with our bed, it was a high one and we pushed the cases underneath, but my sister's room didn't have that option. It was our 5 yr wedding anniversary & brother in law's 49th birthday. We were greeted with mini bottles of Prosecco & glasses on arrival. We had a gorgeous hand written card and a vase of 8 red roses. Towels in the shape of swans too! Our fridges were stocked with chocolate, water, energy drinks and tea making bits. We asked for oat milk and there it was in the fridge. Also, both rooms had little gift box of L'occitane goodies, shower gel, shampoo and other small bits. Every day we had fresh towels, chocolate chip cookies & a daily newspaper. No breakfast, but it's London and there are local brekkie cafes in the surrounding min walk from hotel. Location is excellent, fast travel to the West End & Camden. Busses everywhere and of course the underground. check-out, Hossain came to our room to collect our luggage to store for us in the main hotel reception.

We absolutely loved the style of the room, and the customer care and service was off-the-scale brilliant - complementary cucumber sandwiches and a glass of fizz on arrival, plus mini fridge choc-full of our favourite snacks - all complementary, fans switched on in advance as it was a heatwave. The Rokxy is a minute's walk from KingsCross, which is such a cool area in itself and also a great central hub for getting around London.

The only negative I have is that the bathroom was beyond tiny, pretty much the size of a small wardrobe! It was fine for one night, but only just!

The attention to detail and the care taken by the staff to ensure we felt welcome and special guests was unsurpassed. The communication was excellent before and during our stay and everything went smoothly from start to finish Much care had been taken to personalise our stay and was much appreciated - despite the heat and the very small room, the fan and shutters were very effective and allowed us to have two good night's sleep. It was a very positive experience and contributed to our renewed enthusiasm for visiting London regularly.

Nothing detracted from our enjoyment. Whilst we had everything we needed and many treats besides, the room, and in particular the bathroom, was just too small. Had we been larger people it would have been difficult to move around.

Neil was out Concierge and greeted us with a glass of bubbly, unexpected. He was very helpful and had already realised my adult kids were with us in the other double and had upgraded them to a Queen room automatically which was a lovely surprise. Rooms were excellently decorated and fitted out. Querky and modern. Loved the leopard wallpaper and ceiling fan. Bed very comfy, thoughtful food gifts in the fridge. Perfect location in a lovely converted townhouse around the corner from St Pancras/ Kings Cross. Hussein greeted us in the morning with cookies and offers of taking care of our luggage. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Highly recommend this townhouse pity we only stayed one night.

Maybe a small amount of fresh milk for tea lovers, but that is only a small thing there was nothing really we did not like.

I loved my room #7. Big, comfy bed. Stylish and fun decor. Shutters on the large window. TV worked well. Enough outlets. The bathroom was definitely small, but it was fine for me. The heated towel rack was a great bonus. Very quiet room. All I heard from the outside was birds chirping. The young lady who helped me get in the townhouse and my room was very nice. I appreciate the welcome gift, too! Such lovely and thoughtful touches all around. Perfect location for King's Cross/St. Pancras station.

At about 8:00 am some folks in a nearby room started chain smoking. The smell permeated my room. I had to put one of the big, fluffy robes at the bottom of my door to keep the smell out.

I loved my stay at the Rokxy Townhouse! A spacious and beautifully eclectic room with a cool sitting area and a super comfortable bed. The location is great, especially if you're looking to transit through St Pancras Kings Cross which is just a short walk away. Most importantly, Yanni and the team are wonderfully warm and kind people. The welcome prosecco, beautiful welcome gift and card as well as personal service and favourite drinks and treats made my stay luxurious and extra special. I'd highly recommend the Rokxy and I look forward to staying there again.

The style of the hotel, self-service check-in with easy to follow instructions, the welcome we received from the staff and the personalised touches were incredible. Absolutely can't fault the staff and service at all! We absolutely loved the long fluffy hoodies to wear too! The stocked up mini fridge was sooo good.

I thought that the towels provided could have been a bigger size and more of them would have been better i.e. Hand towel and 2 more bath towels. The bathroom was very small, basic but functional. The only criticism would be the shower head being installed directly above your head with no option to move it if you didn't want to wash your hair.

We arrived early and left our bags at the main reception. A member of staff took them over to our room for us so they were already there when we got back. Due to us travelling for my birthday, the staff left us a bottle of prosecco and complimentary shower products. Such a small gesture but it was lovely. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable and because it was hot, they left us a fan in the room too. There were cold drinks in the fridge for us, and some snacks too. All the staff we dealt with were so helpful and friendly. The day of our departure, a member of staff also came and collected our bags and took them back over to the main reception and kept them there until we were ready to collect that evening. I have honestly never come across such helpful staff in hotels before, anything we needed, they made sure they got it sorted for us.

The only thing I can say I wasn't so keen on about the room was the bathroom/shower. It was very clean, but the shower was on the ceiling. This is great if you want to wash your hair every day but if you don't it's impossible to not get it wet. I also found it quite cramped so while I was washing, the shower curtain kept sticking to me. We also found when using the shower, we had to put a towel down on the floor as the curtain wasn't quite long enough and ended up wetting the whole of the bathroom floor. With it being so small in there, it was really difficult to get dried so had to go out into the main room and dry the floor afterwards.

The management staff were outstandingly good; incredibly helpful and caring beyond any expectations. There is a fridge & complimentary water and snacks. I stayed for two nights during a heatwave in August and the room has no AC so was not very comfortable. For the second night I requested sheets instead of a duvet which they provided amongst other requests. Room is bijou, decor is quirky & modern, location very convenient and in a quiet square close to Kings X area.

The cleanliness was not great, carpet looked as if it hadn’t been vacuumed properly and the drain outlet in the shower obviously hadn’t been cleaned for a while.
