It's a VERY basic place, but you can't beat the location and the price, and it is tidy and clean and comfortable. Until I move into a significantly swankier tax bracket, this will remain my go-to place in Central London without paying Central London prices. Literally right across the street from King's Cross, which is so convenient for getting anywhere you want to go, plus a one-stop shop to get to and from Heathrow. Also right down the street from Euston Station if you are traveling elsewhere in the UK by train. Very clean, TV gets plenty of local channels, the WiFi is fast (I work remotely and never had an issue). Front desk is always attended by someone friendly and helpful. Shower is always hot.

It's an older building so the soundproofing from the street is basically non-existent, which can be an issue in a city that never sleeps if you are in one of the rooms overlooking the street. It's a very picturesque street, though.

For one-night stay it was pretty cool to find and stay in this hotel. Next to the main railway hub but at a quiet street. The room was comfortable and clean. There were kettle with tea an coffee. The staff is very kind and helpful. You should be aware that the hotel is actually some rooms in old Victorian style houses nearby, so therefore there is no lift but it wasn't a problem at all even handing heavy and bulk luggage. I I would definitely recommend it - because of the cleanliness, the comfort and the value for money.

Everything was good.

Really great location, excellent staff and nice, clean rooms. The place is centrally located and the staff was super helpful and accommodating. The rooms are basic but nice, and we were with a baby and they provided a crib. Great value for money and a nice quirky local family own hotel. Would recommend if you need to be central, close to the train stations.

nothing, was a really nice stay with great staff

The hotel location was great, right across St.Pancras station and kings cross station. But it was also quick walking distance to Euston station to reach other destinations. The hotel location was seriously so great to catch different lines or buses to wherever you wanted to explore. The hotel room was also very clean and easy to access from the street.

The stairs were pretty narrow and a little inconvenient to climb with our travel stroller and baby at times, but manageable. maybe just include the stairs in the description for possible guests that cannot handle lengthy stairs like the elderly. However, stairs appear to be common throughout London so just an fyi for travel plans anywhere.

Sorry I forgot to take pics of the room but this is the view from the window the first time i stayed there! and a pic of my friend at the front door lol Location was AMAZING, a 2 minute walk from the international train station (st pancras) and one of the main tube stations (kings cross). Beds were super comfy. View is actually pretty nice. There was a kettle which is nice. The rooms are always snug and warm in winter, and i bet theyre nice in summer too. Generally wasnt bothered by neighbouring rooms noises (you can hear when people come home at like 2am in the hallway but once theyre in their room its ok). Shared toilet was really clean and nice tbh! Staff were always super friendly and happy to help, nice to have staffed reception 24/7. GREAT value for money seriously i came back a second time because you just cant beat the amazing location and comfort you get for so cheap!

If you book the cheapest one youll probably be on the top floor which is 4 flights of extremely narrow stairs (no elevator). Shared shower always smelled like pee (even a month later when i came back) but thats what happens with shared showers.... wear thongs lol. Obviously no microwave or minibar which is fine but also london is super expensive and its worth getting a room which has those things to save some $

I loved many things about my experience at Alhambra Hotel. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I had a good night’s sleep which is often difficult for me when I stay in a strange bedroom. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful for which I am most grateful. The room had all the facilities I needed and was surprisingly quiet for that area of London. I was catching the Eurostar the next morning early so it was only one minute’s walk to Kings X St Pancras…most convenient! I would definitely return again.

On arrival, there was a slightly unpleasant smell in the room which i thought might have something to do with drains…or maybe water had got onto the part of the carpet leading to the bathroom and left a not-quite-dried-out smell. The bathroom was extremely small and difficult to move around (a squeeze to get into the shower and not able to sit on the toilet seat easily). This bathroom would suit a child or a very thin, petite adult. As it was a single bed room, it might be intended as part of a family’s stay in the hotel? However, I was happy to have an ensuite and wasn’t staying there long enough for it to matter too much. (Although next time, I would ask for a larger, more manoeuvrable-in bathroom.)

Very close to St. Pancras International train station and an easy walk, even with wheeled luggage. Easy check-in. Local food and shopping choices are quite good.

Light pollution. Our room was on the ground floor. Right outside was the signage for the hotel with very bright lights which stayed on all night. There were no blackout curtains so neither of us slept well. There is no need for the signage to be illuminated so brightly. Please consider dimming the illumination and please add adequate blackout curtains to that room. A bit pricey, even for London.

Pleasantly surprised with this conviently placed C. London location accommodation provider, my solo traveller adventures have paid of nicely with the single bed occupancy with very pleasant ensuite(clean white tiling throughout) bathroom. Bed was really comfortable, clean linen & the hot drink facilities makes it perfect for any pending visitor needing conveniently placed accommodation nearby - perfect for the St. Pancras International rail passing through passenger!

Tried unsuccessfully to get Magic FM on, no luck :( - that's just about the only not so positive thing 💯

I was a little worried because the price was low, but it turned out the only compromise was not having an en-suite, which I'd known about when I booked, so it was no problem. The decor was simple but pleasant, the room a nice size for one person and the staff were polite and friendly at all times. There was always someone on reception to help when needed. Location was brilliant - round the corner from King's Cross. The hotel doesn't do breakfast, but there were any number of places to go locally.

Nothing - it was just what I was looking for. Simple, clean, pleasant accomodation at a good price.

Location was excellent and easy to find. Had a great sleep in the comfy bed. My single room was plenty big enough and had a tea/coffee station. A towel had been folded into a bow, which was a nice touch! I was able to leave my luggage at reception both before and after my stay.

The left luggage area in front of the reception desk didn't feel very secure - bags were given a tag but the tags weren't attached and I felt like anyone could easily have picked up a bag that wasn't theirs. The window in my room had two layers of glass and I couldn't seem to get the inside one to fully close. It wasn't a problem temperature-wise and mostly the street was quiet but a few times loud crowds went past and then very early on Sunday morning there were glass/bin collections that would have woken me if I hadn't already been awake. The bathroom was clean but smelled a bit unpleasant. There was a large-ish gap between the bottom of the room door and the carpet, which made me feel a bit unsafe as a single female traveller, so I rolled up a towel and put it there to cover the gap.
