Location was great for Kings Cross Station. Plenty places to eat roundabout. Room was clean and cleaned daily with fresh towels. Beds were clean. We had a twin room but the beds were actually right next to each other with no space in between. Biscuits, tea coffee milk etc available. We were on first floor, thankfully as there is no lift. Rooms were fine for the price we paid.

Shower room was really tiny. Could hardly turn in it. We were only there 2 nights but it would have been so annoying if we had stayed longer. Room was small but doable for the short time we stayed. Could do with a full length mirror. Some hooks for coats. Also, maybe a couple of drawers. Staff were pleasant enough but could have been friendlier.

Location was excellent, close to King's Cross and St Pancras and tube system. Room was comfortable. Fresh towels and supply of tea, coffee, water and bin emptied daily. Beds were very comfortable. Reception staff were very friendly, 24 hour reception. Luggage storage on departure, check out is 11am which is great. Not sure if its on website but for information there is no lift (which wasn't a problem for us). I would certainly stay here again just asking for a larger room.

Bathroom was very small (but cleaned daily). However, my daughter is a larger lady (she knows I'm writing this). If she was any bigger then I would have had to ask for a room with a bigger bathroom. I have added photos of the room and bathroom as I feel the photos shown on the website are perhaps of larger rooms and ours was a smaller room.

I like that they cleaned the room everyday, so when I got back, I returned to freshly cleaned room, new towels, refilled drinking water & complimentary biscuits/tea. The water pressure & temperature were also great. I love the ventilation of the room as well, the window is big tall window. Stayed for 7 days. Highly recommended as the location is PERFECT. walkable distance to St pancras/Kings cross. They got TV with enough channels if u are bored. WIFI is fast & steady. The bathroom was small but very clean & not an issue for me coz I am small Asian lady. Also like the fact that there is always a staff at the front desk.

It would be wonderful if the toilet has bidet, but understandable since this is UK toilet. It would also be convenient if they provided a small waste basket/ trashcan in toilet.

I liked the accommodation in the souterrain very much. The room was very well worked out and better than I had expected for this part of London - super clean and friendly. Obviously very small but fine for one person or a couple going on to the Eurostar. That was what I did and it was so close and easy to do! I recommend this place with the hope that I can still find a bed here next time!

A fridge in the room would be useful - some people have travel with medication and it is dangerous not to keep this cold.

Above all, location. You are just right there, next to King's Cross. That enables you to go literally anywhere in London using the tube. Trains also, right there. Walking distance from several central spots as well. Cleaning of the room was great, new towels for bath every day. We were there in December, and the heating is more than enough for a good night's sleep. Staff is always friendly and helpful. On a final note, we loved the fact that you can leave your luggage in the luggage room after checking out, so we could enjoy those last hours of London before heading to the airport.

1. Location, very short walk to St, pancras station 2. super clean bath room 3. Have everything you neen in the room 4. Got room on the 1st floor that have big nice bright windows that facing to the park 5. Can storage the luggage before our check in date (with extra cost) its really make our trip to Edinburgh more convenient

1. The only minus things is there’s no lift / elevator, if you have a lot of lugages, need consider about this (or you can request on the lower level room) 2. When we checked in, the lady in the receptionist not nice and a bit rude (its on 22nd of January, monday night around 21.00pm) The rest of the staff really nice, specially the lady when we checked out on 24th morning (lady with medium hair, she super nice and really helpful) 🤍

Our stay was great. The staff were so lovely and extremely helpful - Irina was amazing. They helped me with advice for posting things home and allowed me to use the hotel as the pick up address of my box. Very appreciative of this! Very clean room, serviced each day. It wasn’t overly big, but we managed with 3 suitcases, 2 backpacks, an adult and one child. The bed was super comfy and even though we were on ground floor (at my request, which they arranged for me thankfully) and faced the street, it was pretty quiet. We had no trouble getting to sleep and sleeping through the night undisturbed. The street itself is very quiet and within walking distance to lots of different things. Easy access to train stations and bus routes. If we’re ever back in London again for a few days, I’d stay here.

If you have a lot of luggage and aren’t able to stay on the ground floor, there’s no elevator, so that could be tricky.

The property is truly central to everything you could wish to see. With Kings Cross and St Pancreas International in close proximity, the hotel has great rail and tube connections. For those who are able, many of the large London landmarks and attractions are within a 15-45 minute radius when walking, with theatres also being within this radius. The room was small, but catered to all of our needs, and the staff were exceptional friendly.

The size of the bathrooms and room are small in general, but they met our needs. When we did arrive we were able to leave our luggage as we arrived earlier than check in, but upon arriving back at check in time our room was not ready. The female receptionist was more than apologetic, and this may be the only hiccup we experienced.

When staying near Kings Cross, there are a ton of places that all look the same at first glance. I did my research and the Angus had the “least bad “ reviews for accommodations in this price range. For about 100 bucks per night extra you can stay in the exact same neighborhood in a nicer trendy hotel with glass wall bathrooms. No joke. I don’t mind paying extra but not for that. Rooms at the Angus are tiny, yes, but so is every other mid range hotel in the neighborhood. We were not disappointed. The rooms were clean and quiet and comfortable. Be aware that a larger person might have issues with the bathroom size.

Yes, the bathrooms are tiny. But a normal sized slightly overweight American can manage.
