The Melville Hotel by Rokxy- Kings Cross

Great location and had a nice view out of our room.

Amazing location, less than a minute walk to Kings Cross, however very quiet at night so no issues sleeping. Rooms were well decorated and the private terrace was a bonus. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Only small improvement that could be made is making a slightly bigger bathroom with higher quality fixtures - this could easily be done by taking space out of the kitchen, which is larger than necessary. The bathroom was a little small for 3 people and I think 4 staying in the room would have struggled.

Great location on a very nice and quiet street opposite the Kings Cross St Pancras station, so you can walk and take the train anywhere within few minutes including the Thameslink to the Gatwick and Luton Airports. Nice big room and very friendly staff.

The room has shower and toilet but basically it was a little container placed inside the fancy room with very little space, so don't expect a big bathroom with a lot of space and atmosphere. But you could shower and go to the toilet in private, so the functionality was there. It was a bit overpriced but I think everything was during the coronation week.

Stayed for just the one night as had to catch Eurostar at 6.15am. We arrived before check in to drop off our luggage and were greeted with a smile. The room was small but cosy and warm. Location was peaceful and had a good sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The accommodation wasn’t very inviting. A little tatty and was evidently in need of updating. Just a few pound spent in the bathroom by replacing the rusty shower riser pole and some fresh new grout would have made a huge difference. A decent bedside light (which was broken and falling to pieces) Bath towels were a bit small and I am by no means a large person.

There was such a lovely feel to how the property looked. The staff were great and so friendly. They were always on hand if you needed them, or some way to contact them.

My only things I didn’t like was that as a 5ft something person, I can’t see in the mirrors they had on the wall. I should have checked if they had a desk mirror but I was busy trying to get ready. There was no remote for the tv - which wasn’t the end of the world, and the shower pressure wasn’t great. However none of these would mean I wouldn’t stay here again.

It was really loud due to people going up and down the stairs The room was next to the staff storage area so if you wanted a lie in it was not possible The bed pillows were also really small The TV did not work during the day, however it did at night

It’s a lovely building & very secure, no need to worry about checking in because you’ll get a code for the front door & room door. If you drop your bags off before check in, they’ll put them in your room ready for you along with a complimentary sandwich, they also offer to hold you bags after you check out if you don’t want to carry them. Had everything we needed in the room & it was super clean & comfortable, plus it was in the perfect location, literally a minutes second walk to the tube, train station, food places etc.

Personally just the fact there was no air con, we had room fans but it was super hot. Other than that we loved the stay & will definitely consider it as a choice of hotel again!

The location was fabulous. So easy to locate from Kings Cross. The gents who run the hotel were amazing. Customer service was faultless. We needed to stow our bags as our train wasn’t until the evening and they allowed us to do this without hesitation and securely too. The rooms were very clean.

The room we stayed in could use some modernising. A floor length mirror perhaps as only one was on the wall and my 4ft 11 body struggled to see to sort out my rain damaged hair and make up. The shutters on the window were fine however our room had one slat missing. The shower door also did not close all the way which sprayed water on the tiled floor, just ensure you use the mat provided.

Great location (several train stations and tube lines within a 5 min walk), good facilities (fridge, teapot, Nespresso machine, even a microwave!), reasonably clean and comfy enough if You have 2 smaller kids (<12years, or until they're comfortable sleeping in the same bed).

Don't plan to spend time here (we didn't), it's a confined space, there's no table to eat at (we had breakfast sitting on our beds). Way too small bathroom sink (an inconvenience for 2x3mins a day while you brush your teeth). Relatively expensive for the size (but what isn't in London?).

Location was great. Room was clean and had a nice window we could open for fresh air. I liked the pin code used for the room rather than a key you might lose. It was all quite seamless. I read some bad reviews of this hotel and we were amazed at how wrong they were. The hotel is clean. It had a bedside lamp, a hair dryer, soap at the sink and shower. It's location is perfect..

No complaints really. I guess the bed was a bit hard for my preference, but my daughter said it was so comfortable so it was a matter of taste.
