Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel, London

The hotel is located in a perfect zone. The staff is very kind and always available. Everyone was always ready to listen to our requests and anytime we asked for something, the staff quickly took actions. Very nice hotel bar, and even here...amazing staff. Despite all the issues we encountered in our room, the staff understood the situation and offered us: - an upgrade to a new room - hotel membership - credit voucher - free breakfast - free drinks - a refund equal to 50% of the total price I considered what I have been offered as a fair compensation. 5 stars customer care!

Unfortunately we found many issues in the room. But the staff did everything to fix them.

The location was ideal, situated in close proximity to the tube station within a wonderful neighbourhood. The breakfast served was delightful, and the entire staff exhibited remarkable friendliness and helpfulness throughout our stay. Additionally, the availability of a free computer area was a great convenience, particularly when I needed to resolve some ticket-related issues.

Navigating through the hotel corridors proved to be a bit of a challenge, resembling a maze, and locating an available lift was not straightforward. Furthermore, the double room we stayed in was notably compact.

Good location in Kensington - right next to Gloucester station; a few good restaurants nearby, as well as a Tesco Express (open until midnight) for small food/water supplies. The room was a good size for a solo traveller, the bed was comfortable, and wi-fi was good too. Also, they leave a free water bottle in the minibar for you, which is a simple but very nice touch. Special shoutout to Rafael at the front desk, who was super friendly and helpful!. :)

The only thing I'd flag is that the shower might be small/tight for a bigger/wider person. It doesn't allow you to move much. But not a dealbreaker to me.

At time of booking - location, building facade, rating, previous reviews. At time of visit - quick, efficient & timely check-in & check-out processes, staff very friendly & courteous, excellent sound-proofing / glazing to almost negate outside road noise, extremely clean & comfortable bed, tea / coffee making facilities & other amenities / key accessories in room, air con, window view, in-room safe & refrigerator, energy-saving measures in place (operated by card key).

Very dark & oppressive internal decor. Some poorly decorated / finished areas. Single room very small & claustrophobic (albeit partially offset by window view & air-con). TV way too big for size of room. Reliance on use of smart phones to access room service, restaurant etc. menus.

Being able to plug in my laptop without much bother. Having a refrigerator handy. Nice comfy bed, and the presence of two extra blankets. The weather turned cold, I got a cold in fact, so that helped. I thought the Manager (?) dropping by with a hand-written card of welcome was kind and considerate.

Not much desk top space, and an end table at the foot of the bed would have been nice. I was constantly plugging and unplugging the electric kettle which had to go on the floor. Also in the bathroom, the swing glass half-door on the bathtub was a bit of an oddity, and a design flaw if you ask me, since pushing it open encouraged water to go on the floor. Every night until late, there was a racket going on next door, which made it hard to sleep.

Excellent location. Good choices for breakfast. The manager (Alex) was very helpful in meeting my expectations and finding a nicer room for me.

The original room assigned to me was old and not refurbished. The layout was unusual in that you needed to go down steps to reach the bathroom. I complained and they moved me to a much nicer refurbished room with modern furnishings and a nice bathroom. However, I was asked to pay 25 pounds a day for the so-called "upgrade". They should have given me this room in the first place. The manager was courteous and very helpful in finding this room for me, as the hotel was very busy.

We love the charm of the hotel and the room was very comfortable for a family of 4 (we had a queen size bed and 2 twin size sofa beds). The location was spot on, close to the tube. Walking distance to shopping and eateries.

The stairs and maze like corridors. After getting off the lift (which barely fit 2 of us with our luggage) we had to wheel our luggage down a very long narrow corridor. by the time we got to the end we had to carry our stuff down 12-15 steps to our room which was a step up.

The property is in a good location with a metro station close by, it is in a quite and safe neighborhood. The room with a single bed was clean with all amenities you should expect e.g ( coffee & tea maker, blow drier, iron, shampoo, lotion and soap), the bed was very confortable and the heavy curtains and AC provided a restful sleep. The staff was professional. There are some good restaurants near the hotel and some museums you can reach on foot in less than 15min. Overall excellent experience.

There is nothing that I can think off

Great location High quality breakfast, healthy options, fresh fruits, great that it contained seeds and nuts, yogurt. Coffee was amazing, it exceeded my expectations. Not to mention tea. Acceptable gym Very clean, quiet, bright room Polite, yet not intrusive waiters, and, generally employees. I do appreciate this a lot.

Breakfast lacked fresh veggies. Maybe add a bit more variety, less high fat food options such as boiled eggs, not just scrambled eggs. Gym could have been placed in a bigger room.

The hotel is very conveniently located in central London. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. My room was small, but very clean and quiet. It had everything I needed. I have to compliment the hotel on how comfortable the bed was! I have slept (or at least tried to sleep) in many hotel beds in the past where the mattress has been far too firm, but at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel the bed was soft and luxurious. I slept like a log!

The hotel is like a warren inside, but this is because the building is comprised of ten converted 19th century townhouses. The decor, however, is sumptuous and comfortable. The only thing I disliked was the long walk along 3 hallways to reach the lift up to our rooms and my 90 year old mother struggled with that. Also, the lift was small, only taking 4 people, and this resulted in long waits at busy times.
