The beds were comfortable.

The temperature in the rooms was very irregular despite the thermostat. And the “continental” breakfast is not worth the price at all. It was really disappointing.

- Perfect location, 3 mins walk from Gloucester Rd tube station, located in the Piccadilly line that connects most of Central London and Heathrow Airport. - Comfortable, spacious rooms full of Victorian character, pleasant and luxurious, with elegant decoration, a real delight to stay in this hotel! - We got a reasonable rate for our room. - Wholesome continental breakfast included with a variety of pastries, fruit, charcuterie, cheeses, marmalade and jams, toasts, cereals… excellent!! - Probably the best 4 star hotel I’ve stayed in Central London.

- We struggled to locate the hotel the first time, as there are different road intersections and hotels around the area. - I found the bath/shower hard to figure out, toilet seems to be on water economy mode all the time. - Staff hit and miss, some of them attentive while others not that much. - Didn’t see the lounge/bar area open or with people during our stay.

We got a free upgrade, so we had the luxury of having a nook with a couch. The bathroom was great, good shower. Everything very clean. Personell was very friendly and polite. Location is absolutely perfect, close to public transport, restaurants and supermarkets, and really safe even though its really close to the city center.

Good to know for Dutch people: the continental breakfast is quite limited. If you prefer a full English breakfast, you will get a fixed breakfast without options (not a buffet). That might be completely normal for locals ;)) but good to know. Nearby supermarket provides enough for a Dutch breakfast ;) bread, butter & cheese.

Amazing location, reasonable rates, comfortable room, good service, mini-fridge, kettle, nicely decorated, clean, quiet hotel close to tube station (Glocester), bus lines, and museums (V&A, Natural History, Science).

Bathtub was high off the ground and hard to get in and out of.

Marvelous property in a very convenient position. The staff were so helpful regardless of the time of day or night. Room was excellent, bed comfortable, shower nice and hot. Located near Gloucester Road tube station and 12 minute walk to Kensington High Street or South Kensington was a bonus.

No desk to work from so had to use the coffee table, not great but it was ok. Must remember to bring an electrical outlet adapter next time as the lamp ports are only for the lamps and the main outlets are only for UK/SG style.

Superb location a few mins walk from Gloucester Road tube, so great base point for exploring. Rooms were clean and comfortable with modern decor and facilities. Perfect for a short break stay. Staff were efficient and helpful which makes such a difference in “boutique” hotels as this stands out more than in a larger full-facility chain premium chain alternative. Breakfast is served in a pleasant downstairs room where the Continental breakfast was perfectly adequate and reasonably priced. Recommended for a short stay break

Carpets looked in need of a good clean in stairwells and corridors, but the rooms were clean which is the priority

Location is very close to the tube Gloucester Road, so it is perfect for traveling to different parts of the city. The hotel offers two types of breakfast, the continental and english. The staff is very friendly. When I asked for warm soy milk, they prepared it just for me. The room was very comfortable, it was equipped with everything that was needed. The bathroom was beautiful, with decorated furniture, bath and shower.

It was cold (early march) so I tried to turn up the heating, but it didn’t work. The breafast didn’t include any vegetables. Also, the hotel is situated centrally, that means there are sounds when the tube is passing by. It is not very loud, there is a bit of vibration, so it wouldn’t bother that much.

Very nicely decorated and clean. Excellent location near the Tube and e.g. Natural History Museum, Harrod’s and Royal Albert Hall. Nice staff. No restaurant, but many in the neighbourhood. Quite a nice breakfast in a very pretty little breakfast room. A nice bathroom. Definitely worth the money.

As in many older houses, the walls seem a bit thin if you happen to have noisy neighbours.

Lovely little room, however very hot in the room and this was just not comfortable at all. We turned the heating down but still very hot. However that said great stay for the money and definitely would stay again. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was fine.

Turn the heat down, the hot water in the taps was actually bubbling out the basin tap. The dining room was also very hot and uncomfortable to eat in.

Very friendly staff, clean, no fuss check in. Location is excellent and price reasonable to for the season and facilities. I would stay there again. Room had a nice little fridge, safe, water kettle. Quiet (inside, but see below).

Room was too hot, and with the thermostat at minimum (18 degrees C) it was still blowing really warm air....thermostat probably needs to be recalibrated. Window only opened 4 inches. Turned off heating completely and then it was very comfy. Also, is built over or close to the subway (metro) line so every time a train goes by underneath, you can hear it. Not terrible, but ear plugs would help for very sensitive sleepers.
