Thistle Trafalgar Square

Staying at this hotel was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere, as well as the attention to detail that was evident throughout the property. We even got small gifts for Easter. The hotel staff was impressive. Everyone I encountered was friendly, professional and attentive. The hotel's location is perfect. The combination of exceptional accommodations, top-notch service, and convenient location make it the perfect choice for anyone looking for a truly memorable stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to this area.

This location is absolutely perfect, it's so close to so many things that you'll want to take in. Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, China Town, Buckingham Palace, St James Park, the Thames River, many theaters, lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. There are 2 underground stations within an 8 minute walk to take you anywhere within the city or outside the city for a daytrip. Their transportation system is very easy to use and everyone is so helpful if you need anything. It is about a block and a half from the hustle so it very quiet and has a small convenience store right across the street. You won't be disappointed especially for the price!

We were really pleased with the location, right near the theatre we was going to. walk to China town and Leicester Sq was 5 mins. The room itself was a lovely size but we had been upgraded because of time we had to wait to book in. We have stayed in hotels where the bar area is open when we get back from theatre, so was bit dissapointed the bar closed at 11pm. They were accommodating though and we picked a bottle of wine before we left for the show, it was put in our room for about 9.30pm in ice bucket. The bed was very comfy and we had a good night sleep, no outside noise. Breakfast was what I expected, the lady on the desk was lovely and told us where everything was. I was a little sceptical about the bacon as it looked a little grey on the underneath and the fried eggs had dried out. I went with scrambled which was lovely. I liked the little danish but wish they had normal size croissant, sometimes I don't want a full english. There was a good choice for breakfast though. We had a few hours to go places after checkout and the Hotel were very accommodating in storing our bags for us. We would definitely stay here again.

The outside of the hotel could be a little more pleasing and inviting, it felt a little cold. The reception area felt very basic and decoration could do with an update. You expect a 4* hotel to have a WOW factor, some of the furniture was worn in places. The lift was very small. In the room the decor was a little worn and had marks, furniture was the same. The bathroom was nice size, there were dirty marks on ceiling/wall over bath. We found the shower to be underpowered and went from warm to scolding when you turned the dial. The extractor fan did not work.

3-minute walk to Trafalgar Square. Executive Room with King-Size bed was spacious, even with the sofa-bed opened for our child. The view from the upper floors where the room was situated was very nice. You could gaze at the city through the large windows. The bed was very comfortable, and our child did not have any complaints about the sofa-bed. The bathroom was modern and clean. The TV was very large.

The ceiling ducted air-condition system, even at its max, could not adequately warm the room which, in April, was quite cold. Fortunately, the hotel staff was very helpful and immediately send a technician to examine the system and then a portable radiator, which did its Job. Another minor complaint is that, although the view was great, the windows had not been cleaned for a while (from the outside as it seemed) which made the experience less enjoyable.

Perfect location next to Trafalgar square, yet quiet. Room and bed were both spacious and comfortable, and we had everything we could need (including equipment to make tea and coffee, which is always appreciated). Loved the floor space and how much light the large windows let in. Staff was lovely too. Definitely coming back.

House keeping at a bit odd hours. The first day they hadn’t been there when we came back to the hotel in the afternoon, and the second day they woke us up before nine in the morning. But that might have been because they didn’t get around to us the day before. Either way, no big problem.

Location is perfect for touring Soho and for seeing the London shows. All places of interest are within walking distance and you might be in for a surprise, for us it was the ladies promoting the opening of Barbie and walking around their pre show area. Great choice of restaurants and food shops, recommended the cake shops - too many goodies.

On arrival we were put into a very poor quality room, the air conditional did not work. Solution was to put a fan in the room……….not impressed. Second day we were moved to the type of room booked, much better more space a large double bed and functional air condition.

The location was excellent especially a for theatre and national gallery The room was a good size(room 526) and had ironing board and coffee machine as well as a desk and flat screen tv - bathroom small but shower pressure good - block out curtains were also good -London is expensive and so no matter where you stay the value for money is questionable as a single traveller - if Sharing then would be fine

The noise of the other rooms plumbing could be heard when in use but this wasn’t an issue unless they were using late at night Room was serviced daily but I did notice dust on some surfaces

We arrived early thinking that we would just drop our bag's off,but they looked and our room was ready normally there's a charge but they wavered this, so it was complimentary.. Fantastic service...

The room was a large room,it must of been a superior room,the bed was large it was completely lovely to sleep in. We had a posh coffee machine aswell as the normal coffee...the bathroom was clean,the shower room was fantastic... Seeing there was two people in the room they could of put 2 of each of the shower gel and shampoo...that was the only thing that I could find fault with....

The location is superb, easy to access many of Londons attractions within walking distance, and theatre. The room was clean and good for a standard, we had an end room so it was lovely and bright as windows all round, but curtains were good for sleeping kept out the light! We ate in the restaurant for dinner and the food was nice, not exceptional but didnt expect it to be. The staff were friendly The brakfast was really really good, the choice was good, and cooked very well and the sausages and bacon were good quality. We would come back again!!

The wine with dinner was really pricey, £11.75 for a large glass maybe thats what they charge in London hotels?? The shower in the room had obvioulsy had a leak at some point and the fix wasnt a very good standard at all, putty protruding form wall, but the shower was good, nice temeperature and power.

the location, very central ! couldn’t be any better. bed is comfortable and bathroom is nice too lovely breakfast

very very very noisy. on Saturday and Sunday, noise (music, people shouting) until 4am. for such a central hotel, I would make sure rooms are sound proof as for that money, people would expect to have a good night sleep
