Elite Athlete Centre and Hotel0

It was a pleasure to stay at Elite Sport Centre and Hotel in Loughborough which we used to travel to/from Download 2023. The hotel is just a 10 minute local bus journey to city centre (bus 127) and from there we used Sky Link to take us to/from Download at Donnington Park. This shuttle can also be used 24 hours every day to/from East Midland Airport.

I have nothing to add that could have make this a better experience, everything was to our satisfaction. Room, Staff, Location was all to my expectation.

Staff went over and above to make our stay one to remember. They were very reactive to requests. We only ate breakfast at the hotel. This was fresh and made and presented to a very high standard. Better than I expected. The EAH is only a short drive from the Great Central Station where we were visiting for a train ride and evening meal.

There really wasn't anything negative to say about our stay. There was a minor fault to report about the shower, but this was resolved very quickly by duty staff.

The hotel is really for elite athletes, but that should not put you off. The staff are excellent, the rooms minimalist functional and clean. Everything works as it should, the entire experience is seamless and stress free. My son saw several athletes he recognised.

Apparently you can control the oxygen level in your room, my son was keen to try, me less so. I suspect it's only available to elite athletes. It is a little sterile and personality free, you're going to get distracted by the decor, but the staff more than make up for that.

Checked in very late, Dean was extremely helpful in getting us settled after a long day. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. Wet room was a nice surprise and the shower facilities were great. The breakfast was lovely too.

We got lost 2 or 3 times trying to find the place. Eventually someone driving past took pity on us and acted as a guide. Such a lovely hotel could really use some better signposting.

The staff were very friendly and helpful on booking in and checking out. This is my second stay at the hotel, price wise it’s very reasonable for what you get. It was clean, room had a fridge and cold drinking water was available in reception from a tap.

I needed to work during my stay but guest Wi-Fi wasn’t secure enough so I was unable to access Wifi from my laptop in the hotel.,

Located inside the campus. David , Denise and the front office staff upon arrival ( july 21) were very helpful .

1. The room wasn’t cleaned , not once .jo new towels were given 2. The bathroom was a wet bathroom. Makes it dangerous and slippery at night 3. No on site restaurant 4. Upon check out ( July 24 at 1 pm) , I realized we left a couple of items on the bed. I called immediately and explained to the reception staff where exactly they were located. She told me she would call me but didn’t. I called back and she shabbily told me only 1 toy was there. I asked her to check again as I unpacked my bag and it was really left behind in elite . She showed no interest in helping me out. I asked for her name and she didn’t talk clearly. I wrote your hotel and still no reply

Good location. Free parking nearby. Plenty of space in the room. Slept well

Beds a little basic but OK. Limited dining facilities if that's what you need (we didn't)

Breakfast could have been better, no real option for dinner. Felt like a Uni refectory rather than a hotel

The reception staff were terrible. Couldn’t find my booking even with a reference number then gave me a key that didn’t work. I was woken at 8:15am by cleaning staff. Small details but the basics

Stayed there for Download Festival, great hotel, fabulous staff who were noth friendly and helpful. Lovely clean room, very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great.

Maybe change the sausages
