We used for night before flight from East Midlands Airport and it is perfect for that. Easy to find and park. Checkin straightforward. Room was clean with good shower over bath and tea/coffee provided. The room was a little hot but a fan was provided. The double glazing is excellent as you didn't hear road noise with window closed. If you want to pop out without the car you can cut through onto the bridge and walk down to Shardlow, the Dog & Duck is the first pub which is large with nice garden. Further on there is a curry house, Tandoori Nights, bring your own alcohol and The Shakespeare Inn. We had a great night before our early morning flight. At the hotel there is a very small bar and seating area and the service station with a Greggs. Parking was free.

For a short stay it has everything you need. Room was a little hot but having the fan helped. If you are driving to airport you have to double back on yourself when leaving but it is still a good location for early morning flight.

Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, happy to see white bedding and towels. Bathroom had shower gel and hand wash and a lovely little notice to say reception kept spares if you had forgotten any toiletries. The breakfast 'on the go' is great if you need to leave in a hurry.

Room 124 window was clouded window, glass needs replacing. After a long journey to get there, we needed to travel over 9 miles for a meal (the Greggs bakery attached was closed), it would be lovely to have somewhere closer for evening meal or helpful to have local takeaway delivery details at reception. To be fair, it was clear when I booked that there was no restaurant however, I did assume there would be facilities much closer.

Reception was open when I arrived after 22:00. Receptionist was capable, presentable and helpful. Room was in good decorative order and the bed and linen were also good.

The breakfast was poor! I am comparing you with Ibis Budget, which I have used more often (mostly in France). Frankly, not all of your breakfast box was edible - the cornflakes had no taste, the choc danish was cold, rubbery and dense, and there was no accompanying hot drink. I believe you need to re-think this part of your offer. Maybe do a voucher deal with Greggs next door?

Lady on check in was very helpful - we had got lost due to a road closure - I had rung to ask for directions as well. Room was basic - but excellent value for what we paid. Just wanted room close to airport for early flight - dont usually do that but not flown from East Midlands before and not sure of airport and procedures - also weather could have been issue in January. In the end it was roadworks that caused problem.

Bit difficult to find and also exiting the hotel following morning was bit confusing - roundabout has arrow pointing one way - but you need to go the other - which seemed odd. Again room basic - but certainly adequate for what we needed - only in it few hours

We just needed a room for the night as we were flying the next day so rather than drive at 4am it got us 20 mins away, on arrival we were disappointed from the outside but there was no need, room was sufficient, even had a bottle of wine between us in the reception, had a pizza which was really nice. Great cheap n cheerful place to stay... would stop again. Ps a mention to the lady.....she was lovely and very attentive, even giving us the remote control to change stations....I have worked in customer service all my life and this Lady definitely went above and beyond!!! We arrived on 15/02/2023 @ 19:30

Location, wish we had done more research before booking. Not much to dislike about the place as it was just a stop gap.

The staff, the bed, the bathroom and the price were all excellent. The hotel was basic, exactly as described. It was a good base from which to visit family, being clean, comfortable, welcoming and inexpensive. There was plenty of hot water and heating you can control yourself. Greggs was a bonus for breakfast as we could eat whenever we liked.

We thought that the traffic noise from the A50 might annoy us, but it didn't.

The staff were friendly and it was useful having a microwave in the reception area. The hotel was quiet and the beds comfortable. It was excellent value for money and was less expensive than any other hotels we could find in the area.

The room was very hot at night but the traffic was noisy if we opened the window. There was no maid service all week as the hotel couldn't get staff. However, you only have to ask at reception if you want more tea, milk, etc. so it wasn't a problem for us. The other thing which was a bit annoying is that wherever you wanted to drive you had to turn left out of the hotel as it was one way and it meant driving several miles out of your way if you wanted to go east. To find the hotel, you have to drive through the services and petrol station. It's easy once you know but could be difficult to find the first time if you didn't know this.

Comfortable and spotlessly clean bed. Bathtub (my preferred option) along with shower and plenty of really hot water. Evening reception staff member was helpful and friendly. Personal thank-you to Denise.

Vacuumed carpet was stained and perhaps needs replacing (room 26). Not enough coffee and milk. I realise that I could have requested more, but chose not to at midnight. Next visit I will ask for a room on the opposite side of the corridor. Traffic noise was very loud and glazing not great.

Accessible bathroom, great bath arrangement for my disabled husband to access with help. Good working shower. Plenty of shelving space in bathroom. Dog friendly. Heating in the room that worked. Free Parking for guests. Friendly staff. A good night’s sleep.

The charge for our dog, I think is too high. Neither of us enjoyed the box breakfast. If this is what Days In, offer, we won’t be having the breakfast. The twin room we had needs some type of bedside table, as only one bed had them.

The two ladies on reception could not of been more friendly and helpful. I messed up my booking.com dates and they managed to switch it to the correct day so I could actually check in. Luckily one room left! For £35 I was astonished at how comfortable everything was. Had a couple of nice night-cap dark rums in the lobby bar whilst watching the rolling news of HRH's demise. There's also a half decent shop attached to the lobby which is 24 hr and managed to grab a very tasty ham and cheese sandwich. All very Alan Partridge. All in all... Amazing value for money and puts the rip-off Britain £120 a night roadside brigade to shame.

Bit noisy, right next to the road and no air con so had to keep window open all night. Traffic never stopped but it becomes white noise after a while. And I guess, if it wasn't next to the road it wouldn't be so convenient. So, stop moaning I guess. But air con would go a long way. Also, carpets were pretty depressing and thread bare in places. Just don't look down.
