Nice and clean room with all facilities working. Well maintained and quiet. Comfortable bed. Lovely pub with element food. The rooms are in an annexe so no noise from the pub. Ample easy parking. Highly recommended at a fair price

The room was a bit cold when we got there so we had to turn on the electric heater but no big deal. Also when we arrived no-one knew we had booked and then they asked us to pay when we already had. I think it is was simply badly trained staff but everything got sorted out so not a big issue

This was far nice a room than I expected, such awesome value for money. Food and drink is exceptional, not cheap but worth every penny. The staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us.

I was very over excited to find a large deep bath tub, which had jets. But then faced disappointment that it didn't work lol. This really was an added extra I was not expecting so this really is the a very minor gripe.

I had the pleasure of staying 2 nights as I had meetings around Loughborough and Nottingham, this was the perfect location and I was looking forward to the gastropub experience. It certainly did not disappoint, excellent food, great selection of wines and a really nice local beer is on offer too. Breakfast is superb, staff are all very friendly and efficient, this is a really well managed operation and a team that takes pride in their work, from the excellent cleaning staff to catering and of course the serving crew. Busy place, no wonders why, it is really good!

All good, nothing to dislike.

We were very happy with our stay. The rooms have a very solid feel, are well finished and are very comfortable. The staff were all friendly, helpful, honest and were able to answer our questions about the local area. The food is excellent and the pub/restaurant, which is a nice place to eat, has a wide range of breakfast options.

Nothing really but I would have liked an electric car charger.

The room ticked all my boxes for when I travel - spacious, well heated, lots of power points, dressing table, large mirror, wardrobe with lots of shelf and hanging space, coffee/tea making facilities, glass water bottles... The restaurant on site was a bonus. Booking essential. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The bathroom had a bit of an odor. Would have liked an extra lock/latch on the inside of my door to feel more secure as I was staying on my own.

A quiet position and very convenient parking outside the room. The room was very nicely furnished and comfortable. The food in the Inn was exceptional and very convenient for dinner.

As I am over 80 I needed a grab rail and non slip mat in the shower. I also requested a room service breakfast but this was not possible as the rooms are not within the main building and they did not have enough staff to cover the request. I found 9.00a.m rather early for breakfast especially as I was on holiday!

We had a fantastic stay at The Royal Oak. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever experienced in a hotel, the room was spacious and the shower was fantastic. Breakfast - both full English and pastries - were also superb. Staff were friendly and helpful and the keybox which allowed us to to check in and then return late was very handy. I would highly recommend!

Convenient style of accommodation with easy parking directly outside. Quiet, warm - able to open windows! Comfortable bed, clean, spacious bathroom having plenty of towels and lovely toiletries! Smaller hotel ensured an intimate, focused, more personalised service to guests. Staff (Matt, in particular) were extremely warm, welcoming - nothing was too much trouble! As a disabled guest, Matt went out of his way to ensure I was comfortable, including valuable - and much appreciated physical assistance in view of my very limited mobility / disability - to help us negotiate my wheelchair to a convenient table in the restaurant and return safely to my room after breakfast. Excellent communications with (Reception) during the booking process - Rosie, noted my requests and kindly responded promptly to any concerns / enquiries I had regarding suitability and access for my disability. Breakfast was fabulous! Plentiful, beautifully presented - prompt service and extensive choice. Huge portions and tasty, quality ingredients - first class!!!! Not in any way a criticism or negative issue, but a suggestion to have a slightly later end time for breakfast, particularly at weekends to say 9.30am -10.00am? Also, after chatting to staff during our visit we learned that the hotel is busier during the week, therefore, a further suggestion to perhaps promote (regular or occasional) weekend 'deals/offers' of say, DB&B or just B&B on Fri/Sat/Sun for a reduced, inclusive price for one, two or three nights stays over a weekend would certainly be an attractive incentive for us personally, and would surely appeal to a wider group of visitors who are not commercial / business guests, especially returning guests? Suggestion? Would welcome a slight discount for returning guests...or even a 'Seniors' rate, particularly during quieter periods when the hotel is less busy?

No negative observations which would warrant highlighling...the excellent quality and service experienced completely overides any minor issues - though cannot think of any - and would merely be 'nit-picking'.

On arrival check in was very easy and hassle free. The room was spotless and of a nice size and well decorated. The shower was great with good quality shower gel and hand wash. There was bottled water in the room and good quality coffee. I will defiantly stay again if there is a need and maybe even for a night away. Breakfast was also a good quality and as my partner had to head off to work they even made him a bacon and sausage sandwich and wrapped it in foil

I was at a wedding all day and therefore had no service to call or receive calls. We couldn’t check in until closer to 12am. They were closed and we panicked a bit when we got there. But they taped an envelope to the door with my name on it which had the check in instructions and an apology for not being able to get a hold of us. Sweet staff. Everything was great. Breakfast was *chefs kiss.*
