Rock House Bed and Breakfast0

We stayed at the Rock House for our son's wedding at the Orangery with another three family members. It is just £8 away by taxi. The hotel is lovely, clean and tidy with a nice entrance foyer and sitting room. There was parking right out side entrance on property front. The rooms were all lovely clean and tidy with very comfortable beds (rooms 12,14,(2 single)), tea and coffee in rooms was also provided. The girl running reception and breakfast (really sorry can't remember your name (sweet Romanian girl)) was so helpful and friendly. Allowing us to have rooms a little early so we could go straight to wedding with room keys. Nothing was too much trouble and she was around at breakfast to chat and make sure everything was ok. Breakfast was excellent with all the right things for a full English, with lashings of toast and tea available for you to grab. Overall we had a great stay, a great sleep and a great breakfast to send us on our way! Thank you Rock House xx Paul and Rosario xx

The Rock House was situated very near to hotels where our friends were staying, and also to the Orangery, where the Wedding was being held. The room was very comfortable. We were very thankful for the fan, as being at the top of the house, our room was quite hot. But then the weather was extremely hot, so not the Hotel's fault. The full English breakfast was absolutely delicious, filling and well worth the money! The Staff that we met, Alex, Dominic & Gabby were so friendly, accommodating and eager to please. A very refreshing stay and would highly recommend and definitely return. Thank you all.

The excellent communication I received from the staff before my arrival set the tone for an excellent stay. The B&B was easy to find, parking was arranged very efficiently and the welcome on arrival from Alex was exemplary. The room was basic, but spotlessly clean with a fridge for fresh milk. The only downside here was the shared bathroom, but this is reflected in the very reasonable price. There is a pleasant little courtyard at the back to sit in the sun. Breakfast was truly outstanding, cooked fresh to order by Alex and represented great value for money. Overall, a really excellent stay therefore.

The only down side would be noise from the busy Tonbridge Road. Of course there is nothing the Rock House team could do about this and the many compensations fully outweigh this minor inconvenience. Apart from that, I cannot really think of anything.

This is great independant B&B and value for money. Room 2, room for single traveller with ensuite facilities over looking the courtyard. The room decor was lovely, open planned space for hanging cloths and bedside table. Both the toilet and shower room were clean and nicely decorated Th plug sockets next to the bed include USB ports Clean bedding and towels were provided daily. Tea and coffee etc provision of a jug of milk that was kept in a fridge in the room. Breakfast was cooked and served by a lovely young women and breakfast was great and was cooked to time/ order with a choice of all the ingredients of a full English. Selfservice toast ,juices and coffee . The preserves came in little glass pots and not plastic sachets . The staff were great, friendly, polite and helpful. Great location for exploring the local area Maidstone West train station approx 11.ins walking or Number 7 Tonbridge- Royal Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone. Will drop you close to the hotel.

Convenient for the town (in walking distance) Had more parking options which was great . Breakfast was served at the time we asked and was very nice . Good to have a fridge in the room especially if you were staying for a few days . Room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Could have had a cup for the bathroom for toothbrushes . Our room the bathroom could have been finished properly the shower doors didn’t close so less room in the shower but was clean and hot water. Being picky but bigger cups for coffee would be great and side tables for both sides of the bed , one side didn’t have anything to put stuff on .

The property is very good for the centre of Maidstone with in 10 minutes walking . Free parking for a limited amount of cars . We were welcomed by Gabbie who explained everything about the hotel. we booked a cooked full English breakfast. which was very tasty. The room we chose was at the top of the house , but a lovely big room. We travel with our show cats , they were welcomed as part of the family .Baggie could go out in the garden which he loves. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff . We will be back soon . Many thanks to the team .

If there was one to note, maybe a mattress topper as you can feel some of the springs !

Absolutely lovely stay, the staff were nothing but helpful from the moment we entered the property until the moment we left. Breakfast was delicious, it is an extra charge and have to order the day before but I can highly recommend this as it was ready as we entered the dining room and an absolute bargain will plenty of tea/coffee, juice and toast. Room was very clean and comfortable, and like I said the staff were an absolute joy to be around, nothing was too much trouble. Parking was limited but I was contacted ahead of my stay to register my registration and given an alternative location to park if parking onsite was full. I would highly recommend staying here, it's excellent value for money, walking distance to town, comfortable and clean and absolute fabulous staff. Will be looking to stay here again on a return visit.

What's not to like? Everything was perfect.

Our second time staying at Rock House and it was just as lovely as the first time. It was different staff but they knew we had stayed before and welcomed us like returning friends. The cooked breakfast was very tasty and a great start to the day.

There's not much I can think of for here, I guess the stairs were a bit of a pain but only because we had a lot of luggage and a senior dog who struggled but the property is a lovely character place so narrow or steep stairs is expected.

From the moment I stepped in this place I got a very warm welcome from dominic who was a gentleman, very helpful and informative. This b and b was very clean and the room was clean with tasteful decor. Very comfortable bed! I absolutely love this b and b and will recommend to all my friends.

The only thing I disliked was missing out on breakfast which couldn't be helped because I had to have an eye operation at 7.15 that morning (the purpose of my stay)I will be going back again as soon as I am able.

I needed somewhere to stay in Maidstone overnight with the kids that didn't cost the earth and it was a toss up between a well known budget hotel and this place. I was pleasantly surprised with our stay. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful, the family room was spacious, clean and the bed was so comfy and there was fresh milk in the fridge. We pre ordered our cooked breakfast the night before and they even made the exact breakfast that my 6yr old asked for. Overall it was a really nice experience, the staff were great with the kids and I would definitely stay here again.

It wasn't a problem for me because I knew the room was facing a busy road before we booked but you could hear the traffic at night. It wasn't too bad with the windows closed but if your not used to it you might find it annoying.
