The room was very comfortable and very clean. The tea and coffee facilities were unexpectedly good considering they were just in the room. The bathroom looked as if it had recently been re-decorated and felt like quality materials had been used. Surprisingly spacious too. Great shower. Staff were spot on. Perfect location in a great town.

A few minor (and these really are minor points). Although the bathroom had recently been done up a few niggling things came to light. For example, the soap tray in the shower was a bit loose and the shower head looked like it was coming away from the wall. Nothing crazy, it still worked fine. The TV remote didn't work. At the end of the day, I was only there for a night, so all of this is extremely minor.

The location was ideal for us in the high street with various pubs, restaurants and shops. Although there is no parking at the hotel, there is a public car park just opposite so no problem. The room was excellent with the bath being the highlight. We will definitely be back

I couldn't open the sash windows for some fresh air. I have lived in properties with sash windows in the past, so I understand the challenges that come with old sash windows i.e. expensive to fix to a high standard. Hopefully the property owner will make the investment to deal with the windows,.There was no decaf tea.

Excellent location , very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are above the pub but there is little to no noise in the room. The room was very nicely decorated with a modern bathroom. Very comfortable bed with quality linens and pillows. Coffee machine and a kettle in the room was a nice touch. There is a parking area outside the pub with free parking after 6am until 8am then its 1 hour parking - so effectively you can park after 6pm until 9am. There is also a pay and display car park over the road behind the shops a 2 minute walk away which is very inexpensive and safe. Located in the high street there are plenty of bars and restaurants right on the doorstep as they do not offer evening food in the Joiners. I did not take breakfast so unsure of the situation there.

Super friendly staff, very fancy/plush decor and fantastic bath in our room. West Malling is lovely, with nice local/ independent shops.

Our only mild negative was, they'd not set the WiFi up to reach the rooms, so we had to sit in bar to use. Parking in West Malling is a nightmare... took us all about 30mins to find a space. Nothing the hotel can do about this... they were really helpful in suggesting a spot by the local primary school, but just as a warning to others... allow time to park.

The layout of the room and decor were good, And the location was excellent. The bar staff were very welcoming.

The green emergency light in the room was too bright and interrupted our sleep. We tried to use the lovely bath in our room but unfortunately the plug didn't close properly and water kept drying away. Also the hot tap didn't stay hot for long enough.

Only overnight, literally arrived at 6.30pm and went out for dinner at 7.30, back to hotel, sleep, up early and out - all party of a charity cycle ride. However, staff were really helpful letting two other cyclists staying at another hotel leave their bikes safely in the hotel while we went for dinner - classy!

Quieter than might have been thought of a high street hotel. Well appointed room, which although not spacious, felt quaint with a French vibe. Cleanliness could not be faulted. Staff were welcoming and were able to provide the usual Covid-style Continental breakfast in a basket to our room as a last minute request.

The bathroom door would not close. Maybe a tad overpriced for a Friday night especially as breakfast was an additional cost.

Just what I expected from a boutique hotel. Amazing room. Bang on in the middle of town, we were able to get around and enjoy the street market on Sunday morning and go for a stroll around town. Staff very nice.

I wish I could say I’ve had a smooth night. The bed was very confy, but unfortunately we had an issue with some noisy neighbors coming back to their rooms super late and also our sleep was disrupted due to a window banging on itself the whole night. Kept waking us up, we tried to sort it out ourselves, eventually getting lucky. It was tremendously windy that night. We’ve told reception the next morning, hopefully they have sorted out the issue by now. Apart from that minor issue, that can be easily fixed, I’d say it’s a brilliant little hotel. I’d definitely go back.
