Pretty Maid House B&B

We loved the warm welcome and friendliness of our hosts Andy, and Sue; exceptional. Have not experienced a more friendly, warm or caring welcome anywhere. We were able to relax in their beautiful back garden at the end of our day which was a real bonus. The breakfasts were superb on both days that we stayed, really nice. Will definitely return when back in the area and if there is room availability. Many thanks Andy and Sue xx

It was warm in the room but we are going through a heatwave so nothing anyone can do. The London road outside the property is a bit loud, especially if you are not used to noise but our ear plugs did the job.

We found the Pretty Maid House B&B just right for the purpose of our visit on this occasion, which was to visit family nearby. The hosts were very pleasant, friendly and attentive and our room was comfortable and clean with an excellent shower. We particularly enjoyed the breakfasts which were fresh and cooked to order. The property is on a busy road so we had to take care turning into it. However, parking was no problem and the property is surrounded by very pretty trees, shrubs and flowers, with a lovely back garden and so felt secluded from the outside traffic.

If we had been spending some of our evenings in the B&B we would have liked an area to be able to sit in to relax and enjoy a drink, eg. a small lounge. There was, however, a small fridge in our room so we could store our own drinks in it for a nightcap which was great.

On arrival, the hosts moved their car so our motorbike could go under the car shelter, they were very helpful and friendly, pointing everything we could do out clearly in their folder. When we decided where to eat, they made a booking for us without us even asking. The breakfast was top notch, their speciality breakfast burger is highly recommended.

Really tasty, well presented and open to change and providing more at breakfast. The little touches that were available if you needed it. Sue and Andy (the owners) couldn't do enough for us.

Nothing really. I would say the room was a little warmer than we would have liked. Despite the radiator having a digital TVR, which we immediately turned down, the room seemed to be getting warmed from everywhere else (it was October so not the Sun). A very small negative against a lot of positives.

The owners were magnificent! Extremely welcoming and friendly. I felt like a special guest. A lovely room with a great bed. I loved the little touches like fresh milk for tea and coffee. The breakfasts available were extensive I went for the full fry and was certainly not disappointed. Also Cappuccino available at breakfast. Wonderful stay

Nothing was below par

Sue & Andy truly went the extra mile for us. They were very friendly and generous with their tips of what to do in the area. There were a lot of places to walk nearby. Also, every breakfast on the menu was amazing, very well made! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Very friendly hosts, even booked a table at a neighboring restaurant for us

EV charger is available at 7kW, but you need a special app: voltshare. Although host was very friendly in explaining how to install and use the system, we did not use it as I was not Shure it would deliver a company invoice....

Great location, hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Comfy, clean and warm room… highly recommend the scrambled eggs for breakfast!

Struggled to find the B&B using Google maps but hosts were so helpful, they gave clear direction and made it very easy to find.

There is motorway noise if you open the windows. This could be a challenge in hot weather, although a fan is provided.

We had a wonderful stay at Pretty Maid House. Andy and Sue are very welcoming, friendly and caring. The room was spacious, very comfortable and spotless, with everything that you may need for your stay. Great location. The breakfast was delicious! A lovely place to stay, that feels like home. We would love to come back again. Thank you Andy and Sue.
