* No tissue box in room ! * Poor wifi coverage to our room (7th Floor) - needs wifi extender ! * Room service (food arrived cold), and they charge 5 pound for room service ! * Small amount of shampoo & shower gel are provided per day (not enough for 2 persons) ! * Can’t adjust the strength of the shower (it is very strong that it fills the floor so quickly) ! * No fridge ! * Towels has bad smell * The checkout is @ 11:00 AM (where it should be @ 12 pm similar to the other hotels !) * No Gym / Fitness center is available

A very chic hotel, with attentive, present staff. Lovely to be greeted and spoken to by people with smiling faces.

On check in I was asked for a £50 card retention for any additional extras. My partner (who was taken there for his birthday) put this charge on his own card, although I wouldn’t normally have done this as I usually ‘pay as I go’ as opposed to running up a hotel bill. On checkout, I expected the money to simply be credited, however my partner was told this could take up to 10 days. To add insult to injury, there was a £1.50 charge for my 1 night stay. Apparently a new introductory tax to Manchester hotels. In short, none of the above was explained at the point of taking the £50. I do appreciate the reason/s for both charges, however the information, charge and refund timeline should have been fully explained on check-in.

The room was decorated so cute rose petals on the bed on request and even left chocolates for us and a lovely note from the general manager view from the room was lovely. Staff was excellent and very helpful and made sure on exit and entrance that we were both okay and if we needed anything.

Only thing I didn't like is no note about how to work the air con and TV and shower as I am on the spectrum and it didn't come easy to understand luckily was helped out after ringing the reception about room service that you could connect your phone to tv other than that had no idea on how to use TV.

Everything about the Dakota hotel was amazing and the staff go above and beyond to make it that extra bit special. The location was amazing - only 5 minute walk from train station with many restaurants and bars in close proximity. The rooms and the decor were modern and sleek and such an outstanding hotel overall. The views from the room we had were just stunning - especially in the night time. The food and drinks were wonderful, with the terrace area and indoor bar and lounge being excellent, as well as easily accessible room service whenever you please. Lilly was beyond helpful and super friendly, recommending a whole list of places to visit and check out around the area, along with the very kind doorman who was always pleasant and welcoming. I would 100% definitely recommend.

The property was very modern, clean and the staff very friendly. We booked the ‘classic king room’ which was again very modern, spacious and had all the in room essentials. The walk in shower was a great feature. The hotel was easy to locate, and offered onsite parking, however we parked our vehicle in the open car park next to the hotel. This is operated by an independent company but was fine for our one night stay. Its also worth noting that, opposite the property there was a Morrisons convenience store which is open till late. We didn’t explore all of the hotel and see what it has to offer due to our time being limited and wanting to explore the rest of the city. There is a grill restaurant situated on the ground floor which looked exceptional, and if we stay here again, we would most certainly try this out. Overall, the hotel met and exceeded our expectations and in own opinion, is true to the images shown in the advert photos. I would definitely recommend and will be staying here again when we revisit Manchester.

That there’s not a Dakota Hotel in South Wales or South West! I hope there will be in the near future!

We arrived by train, hotel is 5 mins from station. Central to city. Good reception welcome. Our room was very clean and luxurious. Lovely large bed and bathroom. We came back late from the concert and had a few cocktails and snacks in the bar which was busy and comfortable. A fine designed hotel, its a shame there's not one in London!

Not too happy that the price was higher because there was a concert on. The door men made us feel slightly uncomfortable when we arrived, almost questioning us "are you staying here"! Maybe because we travelled with a small rucksack on the train rather than a case?! But everything else was absolutely fine and I recommend

Staff are always polite and friendly, which can be a rarity in a hotel that's of a certain standard. The hotel itself is a stunning hotel. From the decor to the rooms. Always find myself going back to the dakota whenever I visit Manchester.

There's nothing I don't not like about this hotel. The only thing I'd say is I've stopped in a few different room types, but if you just stop in a king suite or double suite there's no fridge if I remember correctly. And this can be standard in some hotels not at the same standard as the dekota. That's literally the only feedback I could give

An exceptional hotel with wonderful staff and a lovely ambience in the dining/bar areas. We stayed here for one night (wish it had been longer!!) so that we could attend the Coldplay concert at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 3 June 2023. The hotel was within easy walking distance to the stadium and just a couple of minutes walk to Manchester Piccadilly mainline station. The hotel has a lovely outside terrace where you can have drinks/bar snacks. We were lucky enough to be found a table during the afternoon of our stay (courteousy of the brilliant bar manager - Ben) as the weather was beautiful and the terrace was booked/busy. We also dined at the hotel and chose the fillet steak which was 'melt in the mouth' excellent. When we returned from the concert at about 11.30pm we made straight for the hotel bar which was buzzing. Bar manager Ben made sure that we had drinks (he remembered our order from the afternoon!) and somehow found us a seat/table even though they were very busy! Our room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was good with options for a full English breakfast and other alternatives. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be looking for an excuse to return soon.

Room size was brilliant, with a beautiful and comfortable bed. Two pillows were given as a choice - one firm and one soft so loved the option! Large flat screen TV that came with sky - partner was happy he could watch sky sports whilst I got ready! Bathroom was spacious and the shower was so lovely! Coffee and tea facilities were great - coffee bags were amazing! There was a stone plate for your straighteners to lie on, loved this feature! Staff were lovely and accommodating! The building and decor itself was utterly beautiful! Definitely recommend their grill restaurant for food and their outdoor terrace for a drink! Both not cheap but so worth it!!

Nothing - faultless!

Location is great nice and central. The hotel is gorgeous lovely and modern. The valet team are lovely and friendly as are the bar staff and servers. The cocktails are amazing!

I didn’t like that we didn’t have a fridge/mini bar in the room. Feel for hotel like this they should be in every room not just the suites. We stayed for two nights the room was lovely but both mornings we could hear the building work being carried out next to the hotel. We were on level 5 and felt as though we had to keep our blinds closed as the site staff were on scaffolding looking it felt like straight in. Not the best view from our room but the room was lovely. Reception staff on check I’m not the most welcoming quite abrupt and didn’t tell us an awful lot. Lovely lady who checked us out though very helpful.
