Tremarne Hotel

A lovely family run hotel. Both Wes and Tasmine were excellent, friendly hosts - always ensuring that you had everything you needed for your stay and more! The hotel was well equipped. We had a small issue with not having hot water in our room, so they offered us another room to use, as well as keeping our large, comfortable room with a view. A small gift was left on our bed on arrival (chocolates), our room was cleaned, restocked and tidied daily (unless we didn't need it), breakfast was delicious and made to order and we enjoyed a cream tea after a wet morning out and about. The hotel is easy to find and park at and in a great location, walking distance to the harbour. We enjoyed chatting to both Wes and Tasmine in the bar, and they were ever so good with washing / drying any clothes when needed.

It would be hard to fault this hotel. It's in an excellent location about 10 mins walk from the harbour in Mevagissy, a bit longer coming back up the hill. The proprietors and all the staff are super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was one of the best I have had, quality ingredients beautifully cooked by Wes and served in a bright and airy dining room. Did not have a full evening meal but did have lovely soup and homemade scones. We were offered complementary cream tea on arrival which was lovely and also a box of chocolates in the room. The room was serviced daily and a bottle of water was left for both of us. The hotel has a lovely small swimming pool and garden with loungers, due to some adverse weather we were not able to use it which was a shame as it looked great. Would highly recommend this hotel, great value for money in a beautiful place.

The welcome we received on arrival was so warm and genuine. Followed by a wonderful Cornish cream tea. Yum! Breakfast was exceptional with very high quality locally sourced produce Evening meals were available over several nights during the week. Lovely food and reasonably priced. The view from the dining room was superb. The beds were very comfortable and of a good size.

The shower in our room wasn't working properly, we stuck it out for a couple of days as it was the weekend. Plumber came on Monday, but new part had to be ordered. We were then offered a new room which was fine. Shame it hadn't been checked before hand. Other than that, everything else was absolutely lovely.

The owners of the Tremarne were welcoming and wonderful to chat to, very accommodating, helpful and did all they could to make our stay exceptional. Such personal attention and interaction is truly appreciated. The location was wonderful, easy access to the town centre and other attractions in the area. The rooms were clean, smelled fresh, and the linens were excellent. The breakfast was very good, cooked to perfection; the dinner options were very tasty, served hot and promptly. We will return to the Tremarne when we travel back to Cornwall.

We had no issues during our stay, so there was nothing to not like.

What a fabulous stay. Arguably the best my partner and I have ever experienced in Cornwall thus far. We chose a standard double room, which wasn't huge. This didn't detract from the homely feel of the property, the amazingly delicious food, and best of all the warm hospitality and friendliness of the staff. They made two Londoners feel like close family. It is clear that they love serving guests. The food was extremely delicious, and the breakfasts simply divine. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Mevagissey is such a beautiful gem of a fishing village with so much to see and do, from exclusive shops to museums to lovely bars, restaurants, etc. Will most certainly book this hotel again.

Next time we will book a bigger room. Just a bit more water pressure in our bathroom and toilet would've been brilliant.

Right from my arrival I felt right at home. Such a peaceful and welcoming place to stay. The proprietor was very welcoming and nice. I was offered complementarity cream tea on my arrival. The room was really nice, the sheets were amazing and the bed was really comfy, one of the best nights sleeps ive had in a hotel. Really good tea and coffee making facilities in the room, with biscuits and chocolates. Wi-Fi was really good and the tv worked no problems. The bathroom and toilet were both spotless, with nice fresh towels and toiletries. BREAKFAST, WOW. The food was amazing, complimented by cold fresh orange and choice of coffee, the best hotel coffee ive had in the UK. The bacon and sausage on the breakfast was the best. I don't normally take the time to leave reviews, as i stay in a lot of hotels around the country due to the nature of my work, but I felt compelled to. I would most definitely like to stay again maybe for a few days away to relax. Thanks to the staff that made a work stay very homely and welcoming. THANKYOU

Staff really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Beautiful room with terrace and bed was extremely comfy. Extra touches like the cream tea, chocolates and being able to have breakfast in our room made our short stay that much more enjoyable.

It was very difficult to maintain the shower temperature but signs made us aware this is due to the water pressure so can't be helped. A slightly later check out time would have meant we were less rushed but in fairness to the hotel we didn't make a special request for this so don't know if they would have been able to accommodate.

The location was excellent. So quiet and peaceful. The staff were first class. Happy and very friendly. Breakfast was brilliant and lots of it. Enough parking which was a bonus. Room was very clean and the bed was comfy.
