Hotel is ideally located on the beach front with plenty of amenities within a short walk (Lidlington,morrisons and tesco a 5minute walk away) weatherspoons,greggs,poundland,bakeries and plenty of pubs and cafes just up the road from the hotel. There's amusement arcades,chip shop and ice cream shop literally outside of the hotel. Staff are wonderful, so helpful and happy to do all they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The family room was basic in decor but had everything needed and very spacious and clean. This will be our first choice of accommodation when we visit minehead again.

We had excellent rooms! But had to put sign out for service which I think they should do daily. Breakfast was good for price paid but they didn’t make it clear how to get your pre ordered breakfast to your table as 5 out of 7 days we arrived before a lot of others but were served a lot later, two days from sitting down we waited 45 mins! There starter bar doesn’t warrant that wait.

The property has a bad name with the locals, we have family there and when we said we had booked they told us to cancel but I trusted trip advisor as I always do and am glad I did

Nice hotel right on the beach front we had a double aspect view of the sea. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked. The rooms were dog friendly and staff were welcoming. We stayed in October and had no problem parking. Minehead is lovely plenty to see and places to eat but not much choice out of season in the evening early part of the week more opens as the week progresses.

The shower kept going from hot to cold. No daily cleaning. No butter only margarine had to ask. Last day the man on duty was a little brusque could do with some customer facing training. All other staff were so nice and accommodating lovely cleaner who kept the place spotless in the common areas.

Excellent location, friendly staff, easy to find. Good facilities in room such as tea, coffee and bottle of fresh milk. Very good clean room. The breakfast was very good.

Very small carpark that we were only told about on the day of the stay. Minor repairs needed such as the curtains were slightly broken so no longer covered window. The cafetiere in the room was still dirty from last customer. In the morning the staff did not talk to us at all so it was not clear how everything worked. After a while found that there was tea and coffee setout and you had to help yourself. These are only small issues that did not spoil the stay.

The location was perfect. Room was clean, spacious ,everything we needed including fresh milk on check in for hot drinks and a surprise bonus room with a beautiful sea view. Hotel nicely decorated. Nice lay out plenty of tables in the bar. Breakfast was excellent , cooked fresh as ordered on check in. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Yoing lady on reception is really welcoming and excellent customer care. We would and have already recommended other people to stay at The Beach Hotel. The best part of it all we feel like we have supported a good cause the YMCA . What a great venture The Beach Hotel is and we look forward to staying again in the future.

Thus is our second stay. Ideal central location. Bright and airy rooms with sea view. Lovely breakfasts

The car park is small and so we couldn’t park on arrival and had to leave the car overnight in the public car park by the train station. Thus meant worrying about the car and having to make sure a new ticket was put on by 9 am the next day. My only quibble with the room. as before. is that the showers are mixer taps, so unpredictable, as change temperature randomly, depending on other usage in the hotel. Also could have done with top up of tea bags and biscuits, even if beds not made and towels changed.The restaurant didn’t open in the evening and bar shut at 8. Would be nice to at least be able to buy drinks until 11pm, but it seems most establishments in Minehead don’t serve food later into the evening. This makes it awkward to plan an evening or find somewhere decent for a meal.

The location was excellent, overlooking the old railway station and steam trains leaving were in view from the room. The manager who checked us in and I saw a lot around the bar area seemed very friendly and talkative. I also liked that the cooks were part of a young persons apprentice scheme and what it represented.

A very small thing don't let this put you off at all! The only thing I'd say is it would've been helpful if there was a mini fridge in the room. We bought some cheese and Cider from Cheddar Gorge and we had to make our own fridge with the ice supplied by the bar and the metal bucket in each room normally for milk. We made do no issue though and the staff were helpful with the ice each night. The cheese and drink are safe back home now.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Beach Hotel in Minehead, and it was truly a remarkable experience. What truly sets the Beach Hotel apart is the exceptional service provided by the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was perfect. From their friendly and helpful nature to their prompt response to any request, I felt well taken care of throughout my visit. During my stay, I had the opportunity to explore the surrounding area, thanks to the hotel's convenient location. There were plenty of attractions and activities within easy reach, making it an ideal base for both relaxation and exploration. I cannot recommend the Beach Hotel enough. It truly exceeded my expectations in every way possible. If you're looking for a memorable and rejuvenating stay in Minehead, this is the place to be. I'm already eagerly looking forward to my next visit

Easy check in and nice welcome. Hard to fault the location, on the sea front, right by the main and heritage railway stations, easy walk into town, buses from right outside

Bed was too close to the floor with the mattress basically inside the base. The top of the bed was about 12, maybe 14 inches from the floor. Chairs were also about the same. With arthritic knees, I found it tough to get out of the bed or chair. Room was said to have a view of either the sea front or the heritage railway station. Instead, there was a large tree right outside and that was the view
