Room had its own entrance and a stable door Very clean room. Great location Food in the pub was outsatnding and the staff very friendly and helpful Good area for travelling with a dog. Pub is dog friendly but does have a restaurant should you wish to eat with out pets. Walking alone riverside was fine but recommend you wear hi vis clothes Very quiet peaceful area

Emergency night lights took a bit of getting used to but we understand this is a health and safety requirement. Maybe a small fridge in room. Pub does not do breakfasts but asda just down the road

Parking right outside the lodge/room Nice big leather sofa and big TV with a coffe table Extra beds for kids or family members. Separate walk in closet Separate walk in bathroom. Great views of the lune and tidal water . On two levels, so a big room feel. Excellent value for money. Nothing like this that I'm aware of ... anywhere in Morecambe Lancaster Pub right opposite for lunch dinner and a drink. Spacious feel about the whole environment. I'll always book here first and foremost. Close to Morecambe without the hassle of trying to park the car on the promenade, yet close enough to be convenient.

Water pressure in the shower was too low unfortunately, so shower time took longer than usual. Breakfast not available, so just take some provisions such as fruits or pastries

The room was lovely and spacious, the main pub was lovely and in a great location right on the river. We had a lovely night and our dog was allowed too which was brilliant.

Only issue we had was the heat. We stayed when it was extremely hot so when we got to the room we wanted to obviously cool down. Sadly the room only had two small windows on the front which we could leave open all night and no other windows to create any any flow. We did have the door open too but this wasn't practical to have open all night. I would recommend providing some fans for the rooms during the summer months. Apart from the heat, our stay was great.

My Husband and I,together with our westie,stayed for one night here on a room only basis,before journeying on for a week's holiday in Copley,Co Durham. What a find! Pub is on the estuary with far reaching views over to Morecambe, which is only a short drive away. Ideal for a special occasion, as pub does lovely evening meals and being dog friendly our little dog was allowed to sit with us as a bonus! Accomodation was in one of the lovely rooms at rear of pub which naturally was dog friendly.There are also "pods" to stay in if you wish,and driving past we could see these,which had their own verandahs and views across the estuary. Our accomodation was very comfortable and immaculately clean, with luxurious furniture and huge widescreen tv.There was a tray with tea bags etc., and small kettle with mugs. Was a good nights sleep in a peaceful setting, but don't believe the pub does breakfasts, which was not a problem for us, as a quick cuppa and we were on our way intending to stop further on in the journey. Cannot in anyway fault The Golden Ball, as a great "find" with very friendly, helpful staff. Thankyou Golden Ball - Highly recommended 😉

Nothing, really couldn't fault. Not a problem for us - but perhaps good to offer Bed & breakfast🤔

I love staying at the golden Ball.. Pub food location rooms are clean and excellent.. Only negative is that there was no breakfast included in the price of £125 per night.. OK.. Then put a toaster and microwave in rooms just to give customers the option as on our visit there was staff issues and no breakfast available to even buy as the pub was closed till 12. But this will not stop me from booking again.. Its lovely . 👌

Clean Beds very comfortable Ideally situated for us Fasciitis’s excellent except for Wi-Fi

Booking states room has Wi-Fi and was an important feature for our trip No Wi-Fi available Not warned in advance of stay that there was no Wi-Fi When staff eventually found to ask for resolution/explanation/apologies non was forthcoming. Staff implied that there was s known ‘problem’ with wifi Husband ( a very relaxed chilled man) very unhappy with offhand/unhelpful reply to query

The hotel itself was a quirky little gem set just outside of Morecambe. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would certainly be revisiting the hotel again in the future.

Not exactly what I didn't like but the separate rooms were billed as apartments which they aren't. There are no kitchen facilities in them. We had planned to have a take away the first evening and had asked staff for recommendations before we entered the room. Staff came over to make recommendations but we said we would have to go to plan b because of the kitchen issue. The staff, again being massively helpful, said they would happily sort crockery and cutlery and help clean up in the morning. Great service!

Great location 5 mins off motorway so good half way point when travelling north to south. Great could park car right outside, room itself was large and comfortable. Great layout to the room with area to relax and bedroom area.

Water pressure for shower wasn’t great, emergency exit lights light up the whole room. A small under counter fridge in the rooms would be great.

Nice view, quiet location, very clean and comfortable room. The food served in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The self check in/out is very convenient and any questions I had were quickly answered online ( via Booking.com ). We were in Morecambe for an evening event and had brought a dog with us ( I have a camera so that I can see he’s behaving via my phone ) so needed somewhere that could accommodate him. We left him in the room whilst we ate, but there are tables outside that I guess he could have sat with us at.

Nothing that was the fault of the hotel - it was my fault that I didn’t ask if they served breakfast, which they don’t! Luckily we had some snacks with us to tide us over.

Great location overlooking the estuary, could be windy but very pleasant. Accommodation was very comfortable and staff were helpful and very pleasant.

Can be noisy at night , especially with other guests arriving late. Staying for a week we had expected housekeeping to come in sometimes but no evidence anybody came in to hoover, etc., all week. Same with rubbish bins, left until overflowing.
