Excellent stay. Smallish room but had everything you needed. Bed and bedding really comfortable. Great bathroom. Everything very clean. Room overlooked quite a busy road and you could hear the traffic in the morning but it didn’t really disturb me. Staff throughout the whole establishment were superb, from check in to bar and restaurant staff. I didn’t eat in the pub but I watched service going on throughout a really busy Monday night and it was seamlessly efficient, as if it was choreographed. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing. The fact it was packed out on a dreary Monday night in April is testimony to its popularity. Breakfast was also excellent. Quality ingredients, great coffee and juice.

Don’t need all those cushions on the bed! Bedside tables set back so not really practical. Minor little th8ngs that didn’t detract from the overall stay

Very attentive service throughout. The room was larger than expected and very comfortable, with a spacious, modern and perfectly clean bathroom. The room was initially set up as a double when we'd requested a single, but that was quickly rectified. The evening meal was great - watch out for the large portion sizes! - and the included breakfast had everything we needed.

The only downside was having to wait for dinner, because we hadn't booked and they were busy - so that was our problem, not theirs :) And the overly-warm duvets, but apparently most people like those :/

the matress was two diffrent sizes so unconvey to sleep in the middle of the bed. would like to of had bath sheets instead of bath towels. would of been nice to had the tea staion nicely layed out instead of in two glasses for milk and tea bags coffee and with some biscuit the room was not quiet like we had asked for as it was over the womens toilets

Whole experience was great - stayed for evening meal, then bed and breakfast for my birthday. Evening meal was exceptional and everything was incredible. Great range of dishes and drinks and every member of staff was friendly, professional and attentive without being overbearing. Room was great - really cosy and well-decorated. Could have done with a shower curtain as the shower was very powerful, but the shower and bath were great, so minor point, really. Excellent breakfast; great choices and really good quality ingredients. Arrived quickly but not too speedily. Super fresh and tasty. Would have liked plant milk (and they did offer to go and get some locally for me!) but as happy with black coffee anyway.

Slight cosmetic updates would be beneficial in the room, and the room overlooked a busy road, but the room was beautiful, bedding was clean and soft and good tea and coffee options provided. Lots of toiletries provided along with ample towels (and pillows, which is always great!)

Wonderful food and breakfast. Wide choice on menu, great alcohol and beer selection too. Friendly staff.

Room (bedroom 4) was on top floor in the eaves of the building and it was very hot in there at all times. Also not very much space in the room for tall people as you will constantly be bending your neck to avoid hitting head as you walk around the bed etc, I think the pictures make the room look bigger than it is. No sockets near mirror either so drying hair required asking the bar for an extension cable!

I had an issue with the heating in room 1 (the issue was - there wasn't any...) and Anna at the property did an amazing job addressing it, booking me in at another of their properties for my second night, making sure I was happy etc. If the heating hadn't been an issue it would have been two good nights. Oh, and the food here is great!

Beautiful settings, and gorgeously homey room. The huge bath was a bonus and we had plenty of space. (Although id say the storage would've been too small had we been staying more than 1 night) I have to say what made the stay most memorable was how lovely and attentive the staff were, our glasses were never empty and the staff ensured we were happy and comfortable throughout the stay, nothing was too much trouble. I'm vegan, and although it wasn't on the menu the chef kindly gave me a few options of what he could make for me Was nice thoughtful and surprising to be given options in the restaurant, rather than just having to have chips (which has happened so often in other places that i now just expect it) We were both thrilled with everything but mainly the incredibly attentive staff. Thank you!

Only thing we didnt like was that we couldnt stay longer!

Exceptionally friendly staff, excellent choice of draught beers, wine and spirit. Be warned the food is served in gigantic proprtions (something they are proud of) so it's best to go on a diet for at least a month per nights stay. Their seafood is fresh in daily the Porterhouse steak I had on the first night filled the plate and I had to send bck all the sides!

Nice property, a little quirky, but clean, nice decor and comfortable. Good cooked breakfast included. Friendly staff and good value for money.

Room was a little warm and stuffy and some loud vehicles passed by early in the morning - perhaps can't be helped located at a crossroads in the countryside. They weren't able to book a cab for me, nor give me a number, just wrote down few names that I could look up for myself.

The breakfast was amazing lots of choice. All the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The room very nice i loved the big bath and as requested there was champagne on arrival. The evening meal was out of this world lots of choices really, really lovely definitely recommend. Definitely worth a visit.

All really lovely. Only one little thing is maybe the room could have a few areas which require a tidy up in paintwork but overall excellent
