What a little gem of a place. Wonderful friendly staff. Room lovely, bright and clean, everything in there you could possibly need, and lots of storage. Good hospitality tray and replenished daily. Like home from home. Breakfast made to order, tasty, choice of breads for toast and lovely juices. Staff really attentive and helpful, could not have wanted for anything else and definitely will stay again. The only downfall is the closing of a door which was like a sonic boom but never disturbed our sleep and was not that often.

Car parking plentiful, check in was easy and rooms as expected. Staff friendly and welcoming. The pub was nicely decorated, clean throughout, all the essentials available in the room - not huge but perfectly adequate and as described. Quiet location (apart from bin-men quite early but obviously can't be helped.) Bed very comfy. Shower efficient, temperature easily adjusted - soap, small bottles of shower gel, shampoo/conditioner and hand/body lotion all replaced daily. Windows actually open as proper windows! TV worked. Kettle, range of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits available in room + bottle of still and sparkling water - all topped up after room tidy on each day. Breakfast included in the price was wide ranging and just about any variation provided on request. Tasty food (both for breakfast and on the meals we had from the menu). Well cooked and presented. Staff providing service for those meals and breakfast knowledgable and couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely re-visit.

I'm not a fan of extra cushions on the bed as where do you put them - so for me those extra 4 on top of 4 pillows not necessary (although they obviously make the bed look nice).

We liked everything about The Black Swan.....the staff were very friendly and efficient, we were booked in with a smile and our room was spotlessly clean, we think it must have been recently upgraded as there were a couple of places on the walls that had been filled but still needed painting but having said that it did not detract from the overall comfort of the room.... bed very comfy, bed linen of good quality and or evening meal in the restaurant was delicious. the menu covered all tastes. My wife had Halibut which was cooked to perfection, I ordered a rack of ribs which were delicious. Drinks were reasonably priced with a decent wine selection. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert so cannot comment but ones we saw delivered to neighbouring tables looked very good. Breakfast was a very good selection from a menu and not buffet which was a nice touch. My wife had two perfectly poached eggs on toast and I had a full English which was also perfectly cooked and delivered hot, which is often not the case. We thoughly enjoyed our 1 night stay and only wish it could have been longer. The Black Swan definitely seem to have got things just right....long may it continue. We would definitely return and would recommend.

Nothing.......Err....maybe someone else paying the bill ?

Staff were lovely, including the bar/waiting staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The bedroom was spotless and housekeeping did a great job. The food in the restaurant was on the whole very good. The location was ideal for visiting Norwich City itself with a Park and Ride very close by plus a bus stop right outside the door should that suit your time!

My only gripe was the lack of vegetarian food in the restaurant. Not breakfast or lunch but there weren't any on the evening menu, although you could request the starter course made into a main. Not ideal but we managed.

Everything about our stay there was excellent. The location, the decor, the food was delicious, and the staff were spot on. Loved the Black Swan Lager, by the way. The room was large and spacious with the ensuit bathroom and with a large shower. The fayre had a good variety and tickled the taste buds, local crab, and lobster. It's better than one of those national chain hotels. Would I stay there again? That's a big fat, yes from me.

Didn't sell Smirnoff Vodka (that's the Mrs preference) and not enough chicken dishes on the menu (also the Mrs ;) ).

lovely place , friendly and helpful staff , unfortunately we were there in sad circumstamces for a funerls but other than that the Black Swan was lovely The room was very clean & tidy and bed comfortable We didnt eat a main meal at the pub but the menu looked delicious ,the breakfast was fantastic and the food provided for the wake was superb

was a very hot night with only a small fan provided in the room ,but not a major issue for just the one night

The room was beautiful, very clean, extremely comfortable and everything in the room was situated perfectly! The two beds near each other so we were able to keep an eye on our daughter. We loved the room and it looked wonderful online and it lived up to that expectation and more. The breakfast included was AMAZING! Normally when you go to a hotel you have the basics included but everything on the breakfast menus was included and a great variety for children and adults. The day we arrived we weren’t sure on the area and so went to explore the hotel called us in the evening to make sure we had eaten and didn’t need a table. Staff were very friendly and welcoming both on arrival, for breakfast and when we saw them around the hotel. We would love to visit again!

A few more basics topping up such as toilet roll and soap.

Clean, fresh, well cared for establishment with a friendly staff who genuinely appeared to enjoy working there. Nice choice for breakfast with good produce, all served at your table. Restaurant and bar meals equally as good with the usual choices plus roast meat specials available. Situated in quiet village with easy access to Norwich, the coast & the Broads.

Only thing that was missing was an electric shaver point in the bathroom.

A very nice country pub in an excellent location. Our room was very good and met with all our requirements regarding facilities, cleanliness and WiFi connectivity. Breakfast and dinner were of a very good standard with quality ingredients. Staff were very attentive and friendly.

Only enough hanging space for one set of bath towels..maybe hooks could be placed on the back of the bathroom door or wall.

We arrived quite late after a busy day in Norwich but were instantly impressed by the look of the premises and when we checked in we felt straight away that we had made the right choice .The staff were very helpful and made us feel at home. Our room was very nice, roomy and clean with coffee/tea making facilities and plenty of bottled water. Breakfast which was included in our booking was very tasty and cooked fresh. Although we were only at the Black Swan for one night we would definitely consider a return visit the next time we are in Norwich.

Everything was good. Really can't think of any thing we didn't like with our stay.
