Marsham Arms Inn

The room was spacious and with easy access to the garden and car park. Very helpful when travelling with two dogs. Service was always with smile. The food was good and freshly cooked to order. The Sunday Roast (beef) was truly excellent and the Dorset Apple Cake worth the extra calories. The most "extra mile" piece was the provision of a packed lunch in place of breakfast as I was out each morning before breakfast was served. This was offered the moment I said I would miss breakfast each day and I was very impressed by this level of service. My picnic was delivered to my dinner table and I was able to store it in my in-room fridge. A very enjoyable stay.

Everything was as expected. I have no comments.

Everything was excellent, staff, bar, food, room. Nothing was too much trouble, the room was spacious, prepared immaculately. A nice feature is having a fridge in the room. The breakfast was superb with a good choice, the only downside was that you have to order the day before and you sometimes are over-faced especially after eating the lovely dinner the previous night.

Not the hotels fault but we had researched public transport and had been led to believe that a bus into Norwich and the north Norfolk Coast stopped directly outside the pub. This was not the case causing us to use the car more than we anticipated however the Park and Ride at Norwich Airport approximately 6 miles away was a great way to visit Norwich and very good value.

Staff were all excellent, happy to help and have a quick chat as they went about their jobs. Good location to get to see the surrounding area. Generally a high standard of food, we ate there for five nights. Very clean and well kept room.

Unfortunately our room was towards the main road that passes by. Obviously on warm nights the windows are open, not too much of an issue for myself but my partner is a light sleeper and even with earplugs it was still not the easiest place to get to sleep. There were a number of items that weren't available on the menu which we would have both liked to try which was unfortunate.

Room was very good, spacious and beds.were comfortable. Good to have a fridge in the room. Would be good to have a small fan available in room while weather is hot. We brought our own so we're ok but could be warm of a night otherwise. Full English breakfast was very good and cooked perfectly - particularly enjoyed the fried bread which you don't often get these days.

Although we really enjoyed the cooked breakfasts each day we were very disappointed with the food we had for dinner in the restaurant on the first evening of our stay. Therefore we only ate in the restaurant one night, then went out elsewhere for the other two nights, which was a shame.

I've stayed here a few times and always found it to be very welcoming and comfortable. The staff are very good and the food in the evening is fine for me and well cooked. The bedroom was comfortable and clean, and the shower was good. As a bit of advice, the small rooms, which are advertised as such, are small. As a single Traveller staying for just one night, they are fine but for a couple I'd really recommend the standard doubles they do in the courtyard which are very nice rooms with plenty of space and well worth the relatively small amount of extra money.

I think the food offering, whilst fine for me, isn't very good if you are a vegan. I'm sure they could accommodate you if you are but there were no vegan options on the menu. The breakfast is pre-ordered the evening before and the main part is excellent but there could be more choice with the cereal and perhaps more in the way of fresh fruit. Again, no vegan options.

We were once again Welcomed by very polite, smart and professional staff. The bar area is a pleasant place to spend a while. Our room, although quite small, was clean and well supplied with drinks of all types , the bed was comfortable but there was no view, other than roofs of adjoining parts of the building. The breakfast as usual was very good with a great selection of all we needed. A very nice stay again. Thank you.

There was nothing that spoiled our stay.

Everything was good / staff excellent and willing to make adjustments if necessary like swapping beans for an extra tomato and making sure we had a roast available in the evening etc . Room was nice traffic quite busy until later in evenings but all in all excellent

There’s not really anything that could possibly be changed : the only thing I would say is when trying to pull out of car park and turning right it’s not easy to see what’s coming so you have to be nifty

The whole of our holiday was perfect. The staff were pleasant and attentive. Breakfast had a good choice of options and was delicious. Dinner menu was very varied with regular menu and Specials option, all of which was excellently cooked and attractively presented. We ate at the Marsham Arms 5 nights out of our 7nights stay. The room was clean and comfortable with a large wet room.

The room was very spacious and the bathroom similarly so with a separate bath and shower. Hot water in the shower is easy to control, constant and quick to come through. Parking was just outside, great for travelling with dogs. Food is good, freshly cooked and hot. Service is always with a smile.

Nothing the Marsham Arms can control. There is a small element of road noise. It did not detract from my stay.

Good food, breakast and evening meals - good choice of gins and good beer!, friendly staff. Quiet especially at night despite being on a busy B road. Also dark as thick curtains and not too many outside lights. Easy to use shower. Comfortable mattress . Handy location for North Norfolk coast, Norwich and Dereham

Lovely having heated towel rail, but perhaps need a notice to warn it gets v hot. Lovely shower, but it tended to flood that side of the wet room- & water crept under the shower screen.It would perhaps be helpful if there were drection signs to 'breakfast room' . Heater a bit noisy on and off during night as it cooled down, but understandbly nothing can be done about it and not a major problem
