The Angus Hotel & Spa

Room was a good size with king size bed. Room and bathroom were clean nice fluffy towels. Location Is good parking available for residents. Easy check in online. Staff were friendly although only 1 person in the bar and she was extremely busy serving the bar as well as lunches etc.

The shower in the room needs upgrading to an electric shower it was run off the bath taps and extremely difficult to maintain a safe temperature as it seemed if another room was running water the temperature went either really cold or extremely hot, I would not recommend children used the shower.

A good spacious room and ensuite with a lovely shower following days out walking. The facilities were good and the bed very comfortable. Towels and toiletries provided. A pleasant nights sleep for the three days I stayed. The breakfast selection was very good and very tasty, setting me up for actioned packed days. Also nearby parking which was free, but do remember to register your vehicle registration!

I think there was some kind of water heating system positioned near the room and so I was awoken by this early in the morning.

Breakfast was good Staff super friendly and helpful. Dinner very good plenty choice and real value for money.

Very nice food, comfortable room, good wifi. Lovely area too.

There was a random loud noise from the plumbing at 4.15am which woke me up!

It was all ok the didn’t try the spa or massages as didn’t want to be stung with a hefty bill as for value for money well obviously I feel it could have been cheaper as a single room with no breakfasts staff really nice and helpful also feel the shower head holder was not very good needs a better type put in other wise ok

Facilities were great. I travelled to Blairgowrie to compete in the Yomp. The hotel is 1.5 mike's away from the event and right in the heart of the town. Close by to the river, which was a lovely walk in the evening. Staff were very friendly, the lone barman was a real delight to served by and a very dedicated, hard worker. The spa and pool was very much needed after completing the Yomp. Breakfast was a real treat in the morning. Buffet style with plenty to choose from. Room size was a little small but had everything I needed for my stay.

Can't think of anything negative

The restaurant was great with friendly staff and good food. The spa area was also great and it was nice to be able to go for a swim each morning.

The room was a bit tired and dated, there were also long hairs in the bath/shower that I needed to clean away before we could use it. Final point, our room was above the outdoor bar seating area, as the windows had been left open it meant the room got all the cigarette smoke wafting upward

Great location just down from town center and nearby bars/shops, with Tesco supermarket just to rear of hotel. Guest parking at rear of building. Swimming pool and sauna facilities OK if a little small. Excellent breakfast options including haggis!

Reception staff seemed often busy but check-in relatively smooth. Towels for spa located at reception with then a long walk through restaurant/breakfast area - would perhaps make more sense to have these towels available nearer the pool/spa itself. Also perhaps some on-wall notice on how to use lockers in changing rooms would be helpful.

Upgrade of pool area is fantastic though work is not yet complete in dressing rooms, toilets etc. All the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Food was very good and reasonably priced.

Parking wasn’t great as the rear car park is much smaller than I remember and part of the front car park is being used as a beer tent so that takes up a few spaces.
