We have stayed here before a few times. The facilities are both Spacious and clean. The staff are all helpful and accommodating. The breakfast is outstanding. The location is great we have family just down the road. When visiting york this is where we prefer to stay.

The only thing I didnt like about our room (room 8) was that in the bathroom was the toilet is right behind the bathroom door when it is opened it could have done with the door opening inward to the right so it opens against the wall. Having a child who just opens the door if i was on the loo he would have bounced the door off my knees. But that is just my opinion. Didnt affect our stay.

We were extremely impressed by the hotel and it exceeded our expectations. The operations manager ensured our room was ready early so we could check in prior to an event. Communication before our stay was excellent. Parking was excellent and directly outside our room! All staff we came across were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was perfect and great value for money. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was great and included a tub and toiletries. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if visiting around the area.

Excellent little discovery at the last minute, easy to find off main road. All rooms on ground floor with parking outside for most of them - Rooms very clean & equipped well, our room No. 19 had a lovely walk in shower in a large bathroom. Large TV on wall in main bedroom We had breakfast in the main building next morning (short walk across courtyard) cereals, yoghurt & also a variety of cooked items were on offer along with juices & hot drinks - our cooked English breakfast was plentiful & tasty. Easy access & short distance to York.

Nothing to dislike.

From the moment we checked in to checking out everything was perfect. Staff very friendly. Room was exceptionally clean. Food was beautiful. My husband even said the cooks Stilton sauce was the best he had ever tried and he has had allot. He said it was better then Marco Pierre whites sauce. Waiter and barman very helpful and friendly. Room was warm and shower was perfect. Breakfast the next morning was lovely. I opted for poached eggs on toast and they were cooked to perfection. Young lady serving was very polite.We will definitely visit again maybe in the summertime.

No complaints on anything.

Located in countryside a short drive from York ( I was going to Ebor horse race meeting). Easy to find on main road A1079 from York. Nice motel type cabins with all facilities. I had good evening meal in the on site restaurant (The Spokes) all part of the reception area. Breakfast was also there. A good choice of cooked breakfast served to you. Help yourself to juice, cereal and tea / coffee. Had tea pot to make your tea in too nice touch.

Very small amount of noise from A 1079 road but no problem sleeping.

As a walking group, the motel suited us well as we used our cars to reach the walks and to visit restaurants in the evening.

I have poor hearing and use two pairs of hearing aides each day. This requires two recharging units each night plus my phone. If the power points also had usb sockets it would help. Since my stay I have invested in a four socket usb bar to operate from a single 13amp outlet, so this should not be a future problem for me.

Cleanliness, quite and calm location, modern facility, spacious rooms, sufficient parking.

An elderly lady sat at reception did not even say good morning and gave a really odd look, needs some training on how to deal with people and other ethnic groups. Its always a turnoff when you are met by such staff more so in a hospitality industry. Luckily a man took over and showed us to the breakfast table. Evening staff were great, morning staff were alright!

Breakfast - Pleasant eating area. Included full English and other hot choices, even though booking said just Continental. No fresh fruit, but everything else fine. Very good service from a friendly team, and breakfast piping hot. Self service for tea/coffee/cereal/jam, etc was fine. Room clean and tidy. Comfortable bed (but pillows not great). Bathroom had plenty of shelf space (very unusual), and the shower was excellent. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff didn't replace/rearrange towels unnecessarily (which was a pleasant change from usual, and more environmentally friendly).

The hot tap was far too hot - risk of scalding! Some road noise, (expected due to the location), but not as bad as expected. Not practical to walk into Pocklington (fast road and no footpath), but plenty of parking there.

We were pleasantly surprised whe.n we arrived. The Yorkway is beautifully laid out with lovely planters. The room was spotless and staff friendly. The beds were comfortable, shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast was freshly made and also to a high standard.

This is a minor gripe but in room 9 there was an issue with plumbing knocking when adjacent rooms used bathrooms.

The host greeted us at the door the welcome was a pleasant surprise the room was spotless and the staff who served our meals friendly and stood and had a conversation with us at the table the food was well cooked and presented and portion were massive but o so tasty overall they deserve 10 out of 10. I would highly recommend a stay there.

Nothing really but we had a room with walk in shower as I'm disabled just a small thing really a soap dish fixed to the shower wall.
