The Londesborough Arms bar with en-suite rooms0

My good sized bedroom was a period piece, half panelled walls, sash windows and my ensuite bathroom had these ancient taps, and a high cistern toilet with a chain. All worked though (except the bidet). Very central in Market Weighton.

The hotel does not serve food, a comprehensive list of options for breakfast and dinner in the guest information would have been useful. I was directed to the Bay Horse, great food but very expensive and they were fully booked (as there was just one of me they managed to squeeze me in late but others were not so lucky). Morrisons for breakfast, not great. Some may not like the noise from the bar although it does not bother me.

The staff are great, we were let in early to accommodate our plans. Really friendly lady greeted us. The room (room 4) was lovely and clean, really homely. Smelled nice and had everything we needed, the breakfast basket was a kind touch. The room is dated but this isn’t a criticism, it is within the character of the pub - it’s historic and honestly just felt really comforting. Central location, easy access to the building at any hour as you get your own key to the property. The music does go on quite late but again, not a criticism, as we were in late anyway and it’s a pub, it’s expected! A wonderful stay, thank you!

Literally the only change is that thicker bath towels would be great! also this wasn’t an issue for us but it’s worth noting, none of the rooms are ground floor and are only accessibly by stairs x

Beautiful historic pub. Lovely big room decor compliments age of building. Breakfast basket great. Comfortable bed. Beautiful view of the church. Nice that there was a car park. Staff friendly and well stocked bar. We could take our dog too. It was warm and fan provided in room. Great value too. We liked the town. Lovely old buildings and village green. Nice pub for meal along the road. Also lots of takeaways to choose from.

Would have liked it not to be on second floor but it was a lovely room.

Staff knew our name when we booked in. Provided an extra fan for our dog without being asked. Very friendly staff. Breakfast basket which included 2 bottles of water, 2 pots of porridge each with additional added shots of berries, chocolate. Tea, coffee, normal and decaf, hot galaxy chocolate and many tea bags with milk. Biscuits as well to go with our tea. This was replenished each day. A town guide which included best places to eat and places of interest. A book guide to York and Hull. Room was large with a double bed and an added single. En-suite bathroom, with shower, bidet and toilet. Fresh towels.

Slight issue on one occasion whereby breakfast tray was not replenished and cups were not cleaned, but once I mentioned it, was sorted immediately with an apology.

We enjoyed our stay at The Londesborough Arms. Staff were really welcoming and friendly and check in was swift. We knew we were booking accommodation above a pub and therefore expected chatter from below and appreciated that it suddenly quietened at midnight. Water and non perishable breakfast items each day were good, so we enjoyed a lie in rather than rushing down to a breakfast room. Good sized bedroom and bathroom both presented very clean. Free parking on site. Used Market Weighton as a base for visiting around the county and it had a good selection of shops, cafes, takeaways and supermarket all on hand. As a base we found it good value.

The spring mattress could do with renewing in room 2. The staircase handrail was very wobbly and needs some maintenance. A map for accessing the on site parking would be helpful.

2 Lovely rooms at the back over beer garden so we knew we would be in for quiet night once bar closed, this suited us all. Rooms are well appointed with good bath/shower combo and our rooms had very comfy beds. Fans in every room and large windows and, as is nature of old buldings, have high ceilings so rooms didn't stay too hot for long. They "are a pub who do not provide breakfast" however, there is a courtesy hamper with enough drinks per day, plus porridge pots. There are several places within a five minute walk that do very good breakfasts, something for everyone!

Mum n Dads room was not as great as ours, but we were all fine 😊

The staff were lovely. The Room was big and clean. The breakfast hamper was a nice little touch. We very much enjoyed the snacks and water. The pub does get quite loud at the weekend.. but it didn't bother us as we were sat in the pub also. The Room was lovely and warm!

The bed was a little uncomfy and very squeaky. Could do with some new duvet covers. The towels looked a little worn, but we always bring our own anyways.

The twin room was very spacious as was the bathroom which had both a bath and a shower. Despite being above a pub it was very quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pub itself did not do food but gave excellent recommendations for breakfast and evening meal. A complementary breakfast of nuts cereal bars and pot porridge where provided in the room if preferred

Great location, good size room, great information booket telling us about William Bradley and other useful stuff. Breakfast basket was spot on.

There was no facilities for dining on the premises, and we had to go out for evening meal. There was a breakfast basket which was spot on, but would have been nice to go down to a cooked breakfast.

We had a late check in as we'd travelled down from the evening Newcastle races. The hotel was in a perfect location to go to Beverley Races. The staff were very helpful & friendly. Our room on the top floor was spacious, clean and comfortable with a plentiful choice of tea, coffee, biscuits & pots of porridge. I would definitely recommend.
