The Feathers was directly across the road from our venue so was perfectly located. The room we stayed in was in the new accommodation block and was very clean, comfortable and, as it was new, was very well presented. bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was buffet style but all food prepared was hot, tasty and good choice. All in all, a very welcoming a comfortable stay.

The only thing that could have been better was the restaurant was in need of some redecoration. Compared to the public bar and the accommodation, the restaurant decor was not up to the same standard, however this is a small consideration as the rest of the stay was excellent.

I’ve stayed at the Feathers twice on bike tours and have had a great experience both times. The whole team was friendly and helpful and made me feel really welcome throughout my stay. Bike storage facilities are excellent, I felt confident that my bike was secure, and there was even a charging point in the bike store. My room was comfortable, clean and great value for money. I had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious. Location is great for cyclists as it is on a couple of established touring routes, but Pocklington is a lovely town and the Wolds are brilliant for walkers too.

This is an old Inn in the centre of a lovely historic town. On a main street in the town centre, it has many interesting little shops and a selection of restaurants and cafés. The Hotel has a booklet of local walks, one to the Burnby Hall Gardens, famed for their waterlilies.

The decor was a bit shabby, but given the economic climate, and the age of the property, perhaps understandable. However, old greasy carpets in the main public entrance gives a poor impression.

Our twin room was in a chalet at the back of the pub which was a bit fun! Our twin beds were comfy, with a decent number of hot drinks, and a big bathroom. Staff were friendly and let us put our bikes in their shed. The pub itself is nice with friendly staff. Surprisingly a lot to do in this small town. The buffet breakfast was very good.

For the price, nothing. The view was of the car park, which isn't inspiring but its a short ride to the Wolds which is beautiful.

The location is very central for all of the lovely places that we wanted to visit, we came to visit family, but ended up doing much more. We have eaten and meet up there many times before, but it was lovely to be able to stop over for six days, we were fortunate enough to be upgraded, but I am sure all of the others rooms will be to the same standard, the breakfast was excellent, my wife also had supper there and was impressed, Trust me son that takes some doing. They had a good selection of good beers and spirits. The parking spaces available for visitors is excellent just let the hotel know your registration number first when you arrive. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The market town of Pocklington is a very lively town with plenty of choices of where to eat or drink. There are so many places to see around the town with a very good bus system to visit other places if you wish. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality, The Feathers Hotel. K KIMBLEY-BROWN.

We stayed at The Feathers whilst cycling the Way of the Roses and this place was spot on. They allowed us to store our bikes in their garage, the rooms were all a really good size and the bar served good food whilst also showing the action from the Rugby World Cup. The location was in the centre of town, close to lots of other pubs & restaurants.

Breakfast was a buffet, rather than off menu, but was still good value.

Loved the on site beer garden right outside our room. Stayed for a wedding 5 minute drive away. 30 minute drive away from Hull where we spent one day. The breakfast and evening meals were lovely. Staff were great. Takeaway right by the hotel and some great bars in the town, highly reccommend the karaoke night. Great parking on site

Take your own shower gels the ones provided can run out fast

It was great been in the centre of the village close to everything and parking was a bonus. The room was spotlessly clean, with a decent sized modern bathroom. Lovely breakfast in the morning with plenty to choose from, only downside was we didn’t like the sausages.

Access to the rooms on the top floor was low in areas and you had to remember to duck down, ok during the day but not fun when it’s night and you’ve had a drink.

Because I booked through Booking.com I was allocated a room in the old bungalows because they are the rooms that Booking.com reserve! On seeing my disappointment, the lady at the desk, who knows that I stay at the Feathers twice a year, usually book directly with them, and am always given the same room upgraded me at no cost. Not only that, but she apologised that she couldn't give me my usual room, and gave me the one next door. I'd say that is above and beyond.

Friendly and helpful staff. Location right in town centre and the lovely cooked breakfast. All very clean. Room big enough to accommodate my travel cot easily. I was travelling with a young baby and tje chalet room was perfect for me as was quiet and I did not feel I was disturbing guests when he cried.

The chalet room, looks directly onto the carpark - when the curtains are open everyine can see in. . Could do with net curtains or a blind on the window.to allow daylight in but ensure privacy .
