The Villa Express

Location fantastic for reach Blackpool, Preston and Ribby hall, Central to what we needed. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, I asked for a quiet room as I had a 5year old with me. Facilities were fine, and no issues in asking for extra tea/milk facilities. car park was free and plenty of parking. Easy to find hotel, near an aldi, kfc and petrol station too.

Unfortunately you can hear people in the next room, walls are really thin, can hear conversation, tv and plugging in chargers etc, sounds like it's in your room. Unfortunately too we had a couple arguing at 4am on the last night, alot of shouting and door banging, they then took it outside but right under our window. I was unable to leave the room to ask reception to step in as my son was sleeping and didn't want to leave him alone incase he woke with the shouting and I wasn't there. There was no phone in the room to phone down to reception.

The pub was always an intergrated as part of the hotel. It was great to come back after a day out and be able to eat and drink without having to drive. That is until this visit. the pub is now run by someone elseand has been ruined. I arrived at 8 on the Sunday and went. in for a drink. At 10 i went to thevbar and got another drink and as i walked to the seat with the manger shouted sup up now. And repeated it again a minute later. We thenfoundthey did not open M on Tue or Wed. Cameback Thur just in time to see the lights go out at 9 the hotel is great what a mistake letting someone else run the pub. I will one of many who will not come back

Everything about this hotel was excellent. From the location, reception, room were first rate. The pleasant and efficient check in. I Have mobility problems and the room on the ground floor more than covered my needs. The bonus of the Black Valais restaurant next door was superb. And accessed from reception, no need to go outside There is no doubt that if we need a stay in this area this would be our first choice.

Not a lot! The room and bathroom were a bit on the small side but were fine for the money. Although the local cockerels wake up call at 5am was not appreciated. Smell of freshly paint could be put some off but the corridor was bright and airy as a result.

Had to stop here last minute due to car breaking down. The accommodation was basic but clean, all we really wanted. For the price we paid I would rate it good value for money. The restaurant it is attached to is a real gem! The food was fantastic and the kids park with llamas to pet was a real bonus for our very tired and homesick kids! Thank you for being so accommodating to us. Helpful receptionist booked us our taxi to get us to the train station in the morning and nothing seemed too much for the staff so thank you once again.

No local shop close by in order to get snacks and drinks for in the room. The vending machine in the lobby was poorly stocked for soft drinks but fine for snacks. We were however able to get some soft drinks from the restaurant and take these to the room.

24 hour check in which allowed us to check in late as we was at a party. The bed was comfortable and large. The room was very clean with fresh towels. The shower was a nice pressure and hot which was a good surprise as I normally find showers in hotels never get hot enough.

Doesn’t have any breakfast options, however Morrisons cafe was only 10 minutes drive away. Door is pretty thin and can hear people only if there in the hallway.

We stayed here with the dog for 2 nights while visiting family and wanted a base to explore from. Communication before we arrived at the hotel was excellent and we were greeted by the friendliest and most helpful receptionist- 10/10 at her job! The room was a decent size and very clean which was the most important factor for me. The bed was extremely comfortable with good quality, clean bedding and I slept well for both nights of our stay.The location is excellent, just off the m55 and even though the hotel is next to a pub and very near a busy road there was no noise to disturb us. The bathroom is basic but clean - which again was of the utmost importance to me and and the power shower was excellent. Lovely clean fluffy towels as well! The room has a kettle and a hairdryer and a good amount of storage for clothes etc. and the blackout curtains effectively stopped the light in the mornings. There is a refreshment tray with the basics- teabags/coffee/sugar and the mugs and glasses provided were clean and decent quality. Breakfast is not available at the property but we knew that when booking and we ate out anyway. There are plenty of shops and places to eat within a short distance. All in all very good value for money - efficient friendly staff, good location, clean and a good night's sleep.

The carpet throughout the property is stained in places and could do with replacing but we just wore slippers so it wasn't a big deal for us.

To be fair, I was hoping that the hotel would be clean and tidy. And it was more so. We loved the place and will definitely make sure we go there again. Value for money, polite and friendly staff,. They even put us into a different room as the light over the door was flashing. No qualms, they moved us.. Beat that for service. One of the best stays we have had. Thank you to all the staff there.🤗

Having to come home. As previously penned. Coming home is what we didn't like. The M6 is the pits. And very dangerous. Have a great adventure. You won't regret it.

Great location if you dont want to stay right in the centre of blackpool but not too far away when travelling into the centre. The room and the bed were very comfy we had a great nights sleep.

Not sure how often the room was cleaned as we had the same toilet roll for the 4 days we were staying,we arrived with half a toilet roll in the bathroom and this was here our entire stay by the 3rd day we had to go to reception to ask for more toilet roll and more towels as our towels had not been replaced on the 3rd day and we had used all the ones that had been left when we arrived. No option for breakfast even though there is a restaurant beside the hotel not sure if this is the normal or down to covid but would have been nice to have breakfast on site. Even though we had some issues they are only minor and it wouldnt put me off staying here again as the overall experience of this hotel was excellent for us as a family with 2 small children.

The whole hotel was clean, friendly and it was on a low ground in which was perfect for me since I have lymphoedema and during the daytime I struggled with putting one of my shoes on my left foot and one of the receptionists went out of their way to help me put my shoe on as I didn't think they'd do that but they did and I was very grateful for that!

Second time staying here as it is perfect for my needs, staff are always so friendly, hotel is clean and warm with the added bonus of being dog friendly as I travel with my pet dog. Food is perfect I will definitely book again when travelling northbound
