The location was really nice. Room was a "lake" view that we appraciated very much and also was nice to have duck, turkey living nearby but not disturbing. The parking lot was huge and very close to the room and therefore very convenient

Breakfast, early in the morning around 7.30 a.m. was not always perfect. It dependend also from the skills of the guy preparing it that varied one day to another. In any case was always sufficient. The motel is close to the highway and therefore we could hear the relative noise that, nevertheless, was never excessive

A good halfway stopover from Cardiff to Scotland. Picturesque with the lake, ducks, farm animals and outdoor seating. Large lockable room with large ensuite bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities and extra tea/coffee and milk available in the communal corridor area available. Lockable communal entrance door. TV. Free Wifi. Body wash and shampoo provided. Comfortable bed. Pub for evening meal and cafe for breakfast on site saved travel elsewhere.

Not much but would have liked more choice for breakfast, e. g. cereals, porridge, fresh fruit, and spreads for toast. A mini fridge in the room would have been good.

The location was a key factor as it was close to family.

I opened the window blinds (in room 3),only to be greeted with a building and corrugated roof staring at me. No view whatsoever which is unfortunate as this place, I thought as having a rural feel, it did spoil my experience as there is absolutely no view whatsoever. Felt like looking out of a prison in that respect which kind of made it feel claustrophobic. Had this be mentioned that there was absolutely no view I wouldn't have booked it. The proprietors need to stipulate this when offering their business out and this is a huge deciding factor. Great stay overall but marred by the fact your staring at brick walls litterally in your face.

My stay was a Sunday afternoon to Monday morning. The farm motel was a stunning location, the staff were absolutely amazing, very helpful, friendly, three young fellas on the bar throughout the afternoon and evening, all very helpful, one even got a large daddy long legs out of the room after the main doors had been open. I couldn't fault the whole experience just two things I will mention that we're more icks than dislikes, as I was staying alone, I was abit worried I'd feel stupid, but was made to feel welcomed, the small lake with the ducks was pretty. My room was very clean. Bed was comfortable and bedding was very clean, the radiators worked and very warm. There was tea and coffee with milk next to the kettle, single use bottles of shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom, lots of white clean towels, two toilet rolls. There was a TV and I was told the WiFi password that I used on my iPad. The room was cleaned by Linda she called herself loopy Linda but I think she's selling herself short as I think she does a fabulous job house keeping as I was very impressed. It was a really pleasant stay and I will definitely book again maybe for my birthday in 2 weeks time.

In room 8 the toilet is next to the shower and abit of a tight squeeze hence why the toilet seat seems unlodged, I'm assuming because of the large glass wall of the shower that's not giving much room for a person that sits to go to the bathroom, definitely a man who designed that room for standing up only. The hairdryer, now I understand the reasoning of the wire tucked through the back of the drawer of the dressing table so the hairdryer doesn't get stolen but once the hairdryer is removed from the drawer then it's on a short length wire.

The room size was very spacious. As was the bathroom very spacious. We had the Lakeview and patio doors. Bed was very comfortable plenty storage space for clothes. Very convenient location for where we was going, Leyland golf club.

Upon arrival I was confused as to where you actually check in, not very well signposted. Took me a good 5 minutes walking around to find where to check in. There was only had decaffeinated coffee on offer in the rooms. There should be caffeinated coffee also. The lock on the door to the block needs looking at as you have to wiggle the lock and door handle to get in. Tiny issues but need to be addressed.

Attended a wedding at the venue, which was excellent in every respect, meal superb, service and staff exceptional, maybe an additional member of staff on the bar would have been good. Only downfall was lack of heating, it was a cold day and the heating could have been put on if only for an hour or two.

Room allocation was good, bed was comfortable clean and fresh. Cobwebs on ceiling, though furniture was dust free. Bathroom was disappointing, no toiletries provided apart from hand wash. Ceiling had flaking paint, overall impression of bathroom was that it had only had the basic of cleans.

I’ve stayed here a few times now while visiting family & friends & the lake view rooms are lovely! Having the French doors to be able to go out & sit on the patio n looking at the lake. The rooms are always clean, warm, cosy. There are extra tea, coffee, milk, towels in the hallway if needed. It’s a lovely location.

I’ve been before so knew, however it would be worthwhile telling people to check in at the bar! Or maybe a sign to tell people when they arrive where to go. The first visit I was looking for a reception. Other than that it’s a great place to stay. Well maintained. Friendly staff.

Easy access room ideal for disabled visitors with parking directly outside the room. Bed extremely comfortable and room impressively clean. Added bonus iron and hairdryer in the room. I will be back very soon I loved my visit that much.

Nothing I am very satisfied. The only criticism is that the lake view room was misleading as yes it did have a lake view but across a car park and beyond a seating area and fence.

beautiful scenery , family friendly , comfy bed , clean enough room (lake view room 12 , plenty of tea and coffee items (more left in the corridor too) clean bathroom .

odd cobweb (next to wardrobe ) no big deal , mattress stained (only noticed when I pulled back the sheets on leaving ) wouldn’t say it was a £90.00 room but we did enjoy staying , going to try the pods out next my daughter stayed in one and loved it 😍

A great find. Friendly welcome in The Barn. Very comfortable, homely, well-equipped, clean room close to M6 on a lovely little site with a lake and all sorts of other quirky gems. Perfect for a work stop. There is a bar with some food on site. I didn't get a chance to try breakfast but I hear it's great. Really wish I could have stayed longer and this wasn't just a whistle-stop work overnighter.
