The hotel was all on one floor. There was ample parking and a large garden at the rear. The staff were welcoming at check-in. The room was clean and ours was an accessible room so had a walk in shower. The cooked breakfast was delicious and there is a pub with restaurant within easy walking distance of the hotel serving a wide menu and Sunday roasts.

The heavy fire doors on the corridors were very loud when opened and closed. We stayed over a weekend and on the Saturday night other guests were coming through the doors very late at night (2am, 3am). This led to a disturbed night. Not the fault of the management, just the “luck of the draw”. Another time the guests would be different but I would suggest bringing ear plugs to ensure a better experience.

Stayed on a bed and breakfast option. The room looked out over a field so was lovely and relaxing after a long journey. Room had everything needed. Staff were friendly and helpful and they catered for dietary requirements without any problems. Walked across the car park to eat an evening meal that we enjoyed at the restaurant so very convenient.

When I first used the shower it was great that it was a walk in one on a tiled floor, but the water went under the side panel as the panel didn't reach the floor and the water flowed to the wider floor area . When used again the shower head was brought down lower and the problem was resolved.

One of those quirky places that will have you returning again and again. The room was clean and comfy, walk in shower was super hot and super powerful which was amazing and the team there were exceptional. Check in was great, the lady that looked after me at breakfast was wonderful - seeing I was returning to the buffet for tea every 5 minutes she went and got me a larger mug, and the food was really good. Team in the pub, again wonderful, patient and helpful and the food was really good. I come to this area a lot and will be booking again for definite. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Good size room, comfortable bed, good desk, kettle, TV, etc. Bathroom had wet room shower which i much prefer to a bath with a shower over. Bar and restaurant across the car park. Reasonable prices and a pretty good menu for a pub and the food was well cooked with good sized portions. Loads of free parking just outside. Tricky's is down a quiet country lane so the site felt pretty secure.

WiFi - what wifi? Tried to log on to Tricky's Guest but could not because it did not show. Asked at breakfast and was told "its a bit flaky". It was not flaky, it was non existent. I was only there for a few days so managed the urgent stuff on my phone, but not having decent and quick internet is not really acceptable these days.

located on the outskirts of Redruth on the site of an old Cornish Mine . The accommodation block is separate from the bar which is perfect . Car parking is safe, secure and plenty of spaces .Room was a nice size with ensuite bathroom and good hot shower .Wifi was very good . Breakfast was nice with a choice of cooked breakfast . The bar and restaurant was the old mine building with character ,good menu which is well priced

The only issue and this is minor is that they was a funny smell in the corridor and room.

Didn’t stay for breakfast and didn’t visit bar. The bed, bed linen and room was excellent a very comfortable quiet night. Room overlooked lovely huge garden area. The reception staff were so polite, happy and helpful. If we are n the area we would definitely stay again and visit the other facilities. Ideal distance from Portreath (10mins) where we met up with friends.

The bathroom was adequate but does need a deep clean, particularly area of mould around the shower edges.

We booked just for a quick visit after going to a party. Wasn't needing much, no breakfast needed. We checked in later, and the person serving at the bar was very polite. The room was nice,quiet area and peaceful. Bed was comfortable

Had a shower....the whole bathroom floor got soaked and sticky from the soap, so put a towel on the floor when going to the toilet through the night, so it didn't slip. Hard to not slip when actually showering. Only fault we could find

good location , maybe not much to do in Redruth but close enough to all surrounding attraction like St' Ives, Lands end, at Michael mouth... amazing friendly staff especially short haired lady who was serving breakfast... quite and relaxed atmosphere definitely would recommend and love to come back when next time in Cornwall ... oh and nearly forgot about breakfast... what an amazing full English... you can make your own and nothing was a problem ... once for dinner we went to the pub and had one of best prawn and salmon pasta. definitely worth to stay hotel !!

staff were absolutely lovely, very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was also very good and tasty aswell as clean. The facility was very spacious with lots of greenery and outside eating places.

Hotel didn't provide any toothpaste or anti bacterial hand-wash which was quite unconventional. Also though stated the hot and cold water was too extreme to the point at which you couldn't use the hot water because of how quickly it burnt our skin. The hotel itself is quite outdated I terms of interior design of the bathroom as the tiling and shower area looks quite old

I had booked a room with disabled facilities for my mum and dad, unfortunately my dad had passed away before trip but mum needed handrails etc. She was given a room close to us (we had 4 rooms in total) without disabled facilities, I did question it with reception and they said that the only room they had with disabled was already booked. I didn't check my booking throughly because mum was managing ok but if my dad was with us we couldn't have stayed at the hotel. When I got home and checked, I definitely booked the disabled facilities room for her. Although it was ok and went well , i didnt feel the need to complain as mum managed very well. But I suggest double checking their booking beforehand if anyone else has disabled persons in their party.
