The location of the hotel was superb, great places to have walks, local pubs and restaurants nearby (as well as inside the hotel), and near to the beach. The hotel was very nicely decorated which made it very welcoming and relaxing. It was also well looked after, everything was neat, tidy, and clean. The complimentary breakfast was very lovely. Most of all the staff were very helpful and friendly, they took the initiative to upgrade our room when the circumstances made it prudent, I forgot my personal keys in the room and they were kind enough to contact me and send them to my home, which I am very thankful for.

My room was larger and more stylish than I had expected - the photos don't do it justice. The bathroom was also nicely appointed and the shower was excellent. I stayed in 12 different places during my trip to Cornwall and I thought that the Portreath Arms had the best breakfast. The services was friendly and efficient and the food was of a very high quality. Overall I was very pleased with the accomodation and highly recommend.

There is a need for more lighting. The location of the window means that not much sunlight is able to enter the room but there aren't many lights. The rocking chair near the window looks stylish but it wasn't comfortable. I would have preferred a comfortable chair with a little table where I could sit and drink my tea - rather than the rocking chair and the telescope. Don't ask tired travellers to give you their credit cards if they have already paid for their room and breakfast. The check-in process should be as frictionless as possible. Tired travellers are wont to loose things.

The pub and accommodation was all recently refurbished so exceeded my expectations. The building maintained it's original features and charm with a twist. There was several menus to choose from at lunchtime and in the evening as well, both of which were reasonably priced. The food and presentation were of a high standard and good value for money. Breakfast was also very good with a good range of cooked offerings along side cereals, fruit, yogurt and toast. My dog was allowed to accompany me at all times whilst I stayed at the pub and she was made to feel most welcome during our stay. The landlady gave us a warm welcome upon our arrival on a wet and windy November day, she assisted me with my luggage to my room upstairs and explained how to switch on the shower.

Very nicely furnished pub/B&B in the centre of the village, handily located for a stop off on the coast path. Very comfortable room and even though it was with a shared bathroom that didn't cause any issues. We were even given nice bathrobes for the two step walk across the hall from our room to the bathroom. Very tasty dinner and breakfast with very good choice of food on both. Friendly staff. Very good value for money.

Everything was good. An en suite room would have given it a 10 rating.

We really liked the pub, the rooms were comfortable & clean. The restaurant was fully booked the night we stayed but we managed to get a table outside, the bar food was delicious & they had a band playing which was great fun, lively & friendly, helped by the lovely hot summer evening. Breakfast was also good.... we will certainly go back.

The beds were very comfortable but all the places we stayed on our trip, including this one had very thick duvets, far too hot for the summer. We ended up taking the cover off & using it without the duvet ..... & maybe a bit noisy until Midnight, otherwise it was great. Thanks

Our room was better than expected, with a nice corner spot and was recently refurbished. Food was very tasty with a clear Indian influence that we enjoyed. Location is central in Portreath so easy to find. Breakfast was available from 7.30am which was appreciated for those of us on the coastal path.

Like many pubs it was a bit awkward checking in as staff are pulling pints and serving meals. The bar was quite noisy although it quietened down later, so we slept well.

Booking in very efficient. Staff took us to and showed us around the room. Clean, comfortable and a good range of tea/coffee. Evening menu had some unique dishes, well presented and reasonably priced. We paid extra for dogs, (dont always); but the hotel provided a dog blanket, separate bath towel, bowel and food snacks. So very unique and dog friendly. Very busy in the evening; the staff were very hardworking, pleasant and professional. For 2 years since the impact of covid on catering (hotels, cafes, bars, restaurants), this was the first time I have seen a competently trained team working so effectively and efficiently together with exceptional customer service.

It is a pub, we are fully aware; so its noisy to 11.30pm. That we expected. No issue for us; but a point to note. We had an adjoining room; i.e, with a share single door.. When watching TV you can hear the TV or person talking next door. It needed some kind of 2nd sealing acoustic door.

We went to Portreath as we attended a wedding nearby in Porthtowan. Arrived late afternoon to a very friendly welcome. Shown to our room. Room (shower/toilet en suite) was very clean and tidy and possessed all that we needed. Room was quiet, very bright and comfortable. Had our evening meal in the Portreath Arms which was very nice indeed. I recommend the Ramen !! Equally breakfast the following mornings was of a good standard also. The owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly and the venue was very relaxed during our stay (in case you are wondering, there was no noise heard from the bar area when we retired to our rooms in the evening!!) Overall, Excellent

Lovely clean hotel with homely modern touch in its decor. Staff were so helpful and friendly . Close to south west coastal path and had a beach we could walk dogs in morning or evening. Pop up kitchen on Sunday served delicious food which more than made up for fact kitchen was closed . The beer garden was set up like someone’s back garden including a couple of hammocks! Nice touch. Breakfast was great and set us up for the day.

When I arrived I was immediately impressed with the warmth and friendliness of the staff. They were excellent and very professional. My room was clean and tidy and modern feeling. The bathroom particularly was lovely with a powerful and large shower. A wide assortment of tea, coffee and hot chocolate sachets were also on offer. I ate in the pub in the evening and the menu was inexpensive and the food was delicious. Breakfast was just as good the next day with a good variety of options available. Free parking was a bonus.
