Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club

Our room was exceptional. We felt very much at home. Our room had everything we needed which made our stay so magical. The bed was amazing. It was massive and so very comfortable. Both my husband and I had a great sleep each night that we stayed. The restaurant offers excellent food and a wide choice. The management team go out of their way to make your stay special. All the staff are so friendly and accommodating.

There was nothing we did not like. I would say though with families staying at the hotel the swimming pool is a little small to accommodate all guests especially when you have children in the pool playing with blow up toys. The one way you could get around that would be to make specific times for adults only.

The hotel was a lot clearer than it was last year,a 100% improved.

Unfortunately the bed ,mattress was very old and uncomfortable to lie on, my husband has a bad back and he suffered a lot of pain due to the mattress 😕. Last year when we came the mattress in our room was lovely and comfortable, he had no problems 😊, but the room we were in the mattress was very soft and lumpy. That was the only down side of our stay.

As always the room was superb. Lovely view across the racetrack, quiet room with good amenities. The bed is huge and comfortable, bathroom is a good size and the wardrobe has good lighting, a safe and plenty of room. The staff were friendly, the evening meal we had was superb.

Towel rail in the bathroom is over the bath so at one point one of the towels fell in the bath water. Whilst the evening meal we had was lovely the service was slow probably down to being short staffed. The staff that were on worked very hard but we did have some delays. Sadly the Spa is not in operation anymore. The seating in the bar is limited and very little comfy seating in and around the area.

We would have given 10 out of 10 for the whole stay except for one thing. When we entered the room it was very warm. I set the thermostat on the lowest setting and not much happened except I could hear the fan running. When we left for an evening racing I left one of the key cards in the unit to ensure power to the room so that Air con would keep running. When we returned some 4 or 5 hours later it was still warm and we slept on top of covers.

We had a good comfortable stay with good room temperature control and self help breakfast. The night reception staff was extremely helpful, though not his duty, he came and took the cabinet apart to access the TV connection (no TV), which came loose. Sorted.

If it won't for the slow shower drainage and no shower water late night, I would have given a higher rating. When shower did come, it clonked about, and dripped on and off, hot and cold, i waited till it tested OK to shower at 1am. disturbed my husband's sleep. I did no do well the next day for lack of sleep.

Breakfast was good. The room and bathroom were good. Plenty of room and storage. The location was good to visit castles and gardens nearby.

We had dinner on the first night. Unfortunately it was very poor. The so called tempura prawns were inedible. . .. Following complaining about this we had a very long wait for our main course which was badly presented and very poor. The staff were apologetic about the delay and our disappointment in the food. Fortunately there was a good pub in the village.

This was our 4th visit as a family, there were 7 of us in total. Lingfield Park is very special to us. It is truly is a lovely hotel, with a great ambiance and everything you could need for a relaxing stay . The views from our rooms were lovely We had a wonderful 2 day stay and hope to visit again!

Very disappointed the jacuzzi was barely working . Some facilities looked a little tired and they seemed a little short staffed at times. Something has changed from our last visit . We wondered if it was the impact of the pandemic? Never saw the goings of the manager? We thought that was a little strange!

The service was above-and-beyond; house-keeping sorted extra towels and made up fresh beds in the middle of our stay even though we didn't expect it. Breakfast was delicious and service was very discreet. The swimming pool was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our children (under 10).

It was frustrating that bookings made under booking.com could not be amended at/ by the front desk, even though our requirements had changed and they (at reception) explained that the availability showing up on their system couldn't be overrided by anything because we had booked originally through a third-party site.

I love staying at this hotel when I am in the area. Rooms are nice, big and comfortable. Food in the restaurant is really really good - above average I would say. Breakfast is also good but could do with a little bit more options (just my opinion) Pool is good as well and the staff are always very pleasant and professional.

Nothing really. A bit more option for breakfast - eggs benedict etc... Defintely wont put me off coming back though!

We like the location, being right on the race course, fantastic views. Marriott should have hotels at all the racecourses lol. I like the spa. The food is really nice. Breakfast is great

We didn't like the high table and chairs you now have in the bar area, it looks cheap and tacky, it looked much nicer before with low tables, it has taken away the nice ambience and cosiness The heating in our room didn't work, the fan was on all night which was noisy but no heat was coming out
