Overall we had a good stay, the room was clean, bed was comfy and the breakfast was pretty decent. Based on our room rate, we felt it was fair value and the person taking the orders was very friendly and helpful. The parking was also useful and allowed to explore the city.

Wasn't anything to 'not like' but it depends on your expectations! The welcome / check in experience could have more personable / engaging but it delivered what was needed - we arrived and collected our key! It's not the type of hotel to have branded amenities (mini shampoos etc) but we had our own so again this wasn't an issue.

City Inn doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't, but driving after a long day we were delighted to find a decent room (with recent model Samsung TV), and bar meals available downstairs - we were very happy not to have to go out again, and the beds proved to be very comfortable. It's in the middle of a fairly functional residential area - our second-floor bedroom looked down on some back gardens - but this is a tiny place, so you're not more than five minutes from the centre / cathedral etc. A very good breakfast set us up for the day and we were surprised, on a cold first weekend of March, how many others had no doubt been attracted by the straightforward good value. Incidentally, I overheard a conversation at the next door table where one guest was vegan. The staff were switched on for his breakfast and had oat milk waiting for him. Probably from the late-hours supermarket just a minute over the road.

For the money, there was nothing we didn't like. We will need to come back to St Davids in a few weeks and I think it's likely we won't look anywhere else - unless of course it's fully booked!

Really comfortable bed, brilliant shower, tasty veggie cooked breakfast, really convenient location. Friendly staff. Good supplies of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room.

The room was quite congested on one side of the bed, not much room to manoeuvre between the tea making equipment, a chair, and a desk. The furniture was very cheap / flimsy and the decor quite dated. (None of these things bothered us actually, but they might if you wanted a smart modern trendy place.)

The room was tasteful, comfortable, well-appointed and included everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Staff were pleasant, accommodating, obliging and communicative ("I'd advise you to move your car as we're having work done which may make it dusty. There are spaces at the front"). Breakfast was well cooked & there was a reasonable choice. On the edge of the centre of town, we were able to walk easily into town. Of course, St. David's was a city a long time before cars existed. Frankly, leaving the car at the hotel was the easiest option, unless you wanted to see the area

The view out of the window was of a couple of back gardens & houses, but the Inn is in a city centre location, so what did we expect? The neighbours didn't disturb us, day or night. Driving round St. David's , in the holiday season, was a challenge; but, with the Inn as a base, leaving St. David's to explore beautiful Pembroke was easy.

The staff were friendly. The rooms were clean. Great water pressure for the shower. The breakfast was great. I had the vegetarian and it was one of the best veggie sausages I have ever had. Great location, a short walk to the town centre. Parking spaces available. Local supermarket right across the street.

Not a dislike but a suggestion, where it is quite warm, possibly having a flat sheet as well as a duvet. I sleep with a duvet all year round but my partner would have liked a lighter cover. We didn’t ask, but I am sure the staff would have provided one if we asked.

Their car park was sufficiently large, that we were not concerned there wouldn't be enough space if we used the car daily. The double bedroom was spacious, bed comfortable, and bathroom clean. Within 400 m off St David's centre. Ample assortment/ choices for breakfast. Good quality of cooked breakfast. Staff very helpful regarding bus times, suggestions of where to go. Simple but good/ well priced bar menu for evening meals.

We were in a top room. With a large suitcase ( my fault!), it was tiring getting to the top of a narrower staircase. ..but worth the journey.

Unfortunately thete is a very strong odour in the downstairs area of stale fat and kitchen smells but we were pleasantly surprised with the comfort and cleanliness of our room thankyou

I am coeliac and staff said they understood about separation of items for cooking and serving so no cross contamination occured, but toast was slotted into obviously used rack so cross contaminated. Bacon was undercooked and eggs were overcooked

Central location with own parking. Close to local amenities, 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral. A 5/10 minute drive will get you to Whitesands beach, St Non's Well and Caerfai beach. These last 2 places could be walked to in 20 mins. Easy access to Pembroke Coastal Path with regular bus sevice (The Flexie bus service was useful for pick up at the end of a walk). Porthgain was well worth a visit. Rooms were clean and comfortable and a good breakfast to be had - excellent value.

Good location, short walk to the village centre, the magnificent cathedral and the stunning views on the coast path. Large rooms, comfy beds, ample parking and a good breakfast. Try the Saffron , excellent Indian restaurant nearby. We arrived in 40mph winds and driving rain and were allowed access to our room 3hrs before our check in time, excellent service.

No problems.

Room was spacious for two as it was strictly speaking a family room. Bed was large and very comfortable . Ensuite bright and clean. Breakfast was excellent, well prepared, simple and well organised. Staff pleasant and attentive. Evening meals also good and reasonably priced, especially compared to others in St.Davids. Easy on site parking a bonus and locality all within walking distance.

Bear in mind our room was on second floor which may be a consideration for some, Otherwise can't think of anything that detracted .
