Highfield Farm

Fabulous place! Lovely location and nice & peaceful, despite being just off the A1. Spacious room, place is full of character. Comfortable bed, great breakfast choices. Wonderful, welcoming host. It was one of the hottest days of the year, they had put a quiet fan in, which really helped (thank you!). Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Easy to miss the entrance when driving down the A1; there is another house just on the left beforehand and an Esso a bit further down on the opposite side, so slow down when you see those. If you miss the turning, just go back up and down the A1, won't take long.

Everything was perfect, and I have to say we never say that about anywhere we have stayed before and we stay at a lot of places around the country. The room was big and very comfortable, the whole place was very quiet, the breakfast was absolutely amazing, we just couldn't fault anything. It was perfect. we will definitely be staying here again when we visit our friends in Cople. Thank you Ann-Marie for making our stay so lovely.

The TV! Fortunately, we were busy doing things during our stay so we weren't in our room very much at all. If we were staying for more than one night the TV could have been bigger it is very tiny and probably not worth having in the room.

Everything at High field farm far exceeded my expectations. I can say without reservation it is the best B&B that I have ever stayed in. From a friendly welcome to a scrumptious breakfast and everything in between. The bedroom was super comfortable and spacious, the bathroom had everything you could possibly need from soap to shoe cleaning products. Bed linen and towels were of premium quality and the hospitality tray was excellent with tea, many choices of coffee, chocolate and home made shortbread. The staff were wonderful, warm and friendly and made me feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. A fabulous place run by fabulous people.

The breakfast was excellent. The location was very convenient for us. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were very impressed with the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms. Although conveniently situated off the A1, the venue stands far enough up a drive that means there is no traffic noise, so made for a peaceful sleep. Anne Marie and Tracy are an excellent team. Ample parking. A stroll along the farm track after breakfast afforded us the sight of three skylarks which was lovely.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this place.

I can't say enough good things about my stays at Highfield Farm. Everything from breakfast to a wonderfully comfortable bed made my stay enjoyable. I enjoyed sharing stories with other guests, as well as the hostess and staff. I was even contacted about a left-behind item. Thankfully, I had planned to return at the end of my holiday and was able to retrieve it.

What's not to like? Everything about the place was wonderful to me. The entrance drive can be a bit tricky to see after dark.

Highfield Farm is full of character. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice, and the accommodation is comfortable and spacious. The location, being within a farm, is very quiet and suitable for safe parking of classic cars The farm cat is very friendly!

The entrance to the location is very small, on a bend on the M1 dual carriageway. It can be seen with only about 25 metres left, so must be approached slowly with hazard warning lights flashing. Also the bed sheets were cotton - satin would be much more comfortable

Friendly welcome and excellent service in an exceptionally well-appointed B&B close to the A1 yet very quiet. Highly recommended.

Nothing not to like! Missed the farm entrance first time off the dual carriageway but it took only a few minutes to try again on the short stretch of the A1. Slow down when you see a couple of houses/ fences just by the road and the Highfield sign & track are immediately after.

The friendly welcome, Anne Marie was a wonderful host. Made me feel hugely welcome and it felt family orientated. The location is close to the A1 but you wouldn’t really know it and it’s a little hidden gem in my view. The room was beautiful and breakfast was perfect, and the chatter/ banter was fun too. Highly recommended.

Not a thing …

Breakfast lovely and plenty of it. Catered to my allergy requirements without making an issue of it, just as part of our stay. Bedroom really clean and comfortable, shower great. Anne-Marie couldnt do enough, would definately stay again.

Signage - could do with another about 300 metres or so before coming on the turn as its straight off the A1 - would recommend looking for a visual reference on google maps before setting off.

Everything was perfect. Owner was welcoming, but not "over-inquisitive". Breakfast was delicious with great toast and a large pot of tea :)

Hardly anything. Signage off the main road perhaps could have been (even) bigger, but I had been advised before from others of turn-off (not sure if I got that advice officially beforehand)
