The Beach Hotel

The Seaview rooms are to die for, the staff are excellent, welcoming and friendly, the hotel manager from Tunisia is an absolute legend, and extremely friendly, he is an asset to this small hotel. The rooms are large, the beds are HUGE and spacious. Couldn't fault the simple breakfast either.

Perfectly located for our night out at the Brighton Centre & for lots of food options on Preston Street. Our room was small but spotlessly clean. All staff were extremely friendly & helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Firstly the staff are lovely. Friendly and helpful. The location is amazing.. Literally opposite the Pier and "on the beach", there's even a superb fish restaurant on the doorstep. The breakfast went well beyond our expectations.. A buffet of cooked breakfast but also cereal, fresh fruit and juice, all delicious. Again the staff were wonderful and the breakfast area was very clean. The room was spotless, new decorated with a huge window and view of the sea front. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was freshly renovated. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room. There are a few things to note... Access is a little limited in the bathroom. It was an unusual and space saving configuration! . Bring ear plugs.. The lovely restaurant is open until late and there's no air con so we had the windows open as it was a gloriously hot weekend. (Don't worry.. A large fan is also supplied in the room). Oh, and WiFi is available but just in the sitting area/ lobby not in bedrooms.

I have stayed in this Hotel last year and knew what to expect. This time we stayed in rooms 33 and 34. Room 34, very spacious with a large shower. Room 33, had twin beds(which I requested) The shower was quite small. Both rooms were clean and comfortable with sea views. There is a trouser press in room 33 but I couldn't get it working, so I requested an iron at reception without any problems. The staff, as always, were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, self service ,which was easily set up with a choice of cereal, yogurt and fruit as well as a cooked breakfast with toast. I would definitely stay here again.

Ok, so yes, you will notice it is very tired looking and needs updating. Our rooms were on the third floor, the lift is old fashioned and will fit two people max, there is a weight limit, which can be an issue if you have suitcases too. It can be a bit time consuming in that sense so if booking maybe request a lower floor. The windows were a little heavy to open.

Great location,close to beach and shops. Reception allowed us to drop our bags off with them as we were early and even offered us early check in free of charge. Room was very spacious with great sea view. En-suite was very modern with good hot shower. Breakfast was basic but plentiful and filled me up,you could help yourself to as much as you wanted.Staff were very attentive with clearing tables.Our stay was cut short due to train strike otherwise we would have stayed longer. After check out reception looked after our bags allowing us a few hours more viewing Brighton before train home. Looking forward to coming here again.

Nothing really put us off. The lift is very tiny,2 people max but we were on 2nd floor so used stairs mostly. Some carpeting needs replacing but this is a hotel running on a tight budget so I can forgive the little things when I get value for money.

My Sister and I have been going to the beach hotel for quite a few years now and we think it is just perfect for us . friendly and helpful staff sea view rooms and breakfast is great. There is a choice o f cereals fruit and yoghurt as well as cooked breakfast toast te and cooffee and orange juice apple juice or water. Location is great quite close to town centre and shopping centre and really close to the beach. easy walking distance to the pier , the lanes and only a short taxi ride from the railway station. We go at least twice a year and sometimes more.

Perfect location and very friendly reception and breakfast workers!:) We also got a huge room which was a very pleasant surprise!

Having to leave the key at the reception but not being asked for ID or even our name when getting it back. All we had to do was tell them our room number and our key was given to us. The woman who worked the reception was super friendly and nice and recognized us so there was no issue there. But one of the male workers gave us our key by me telling him our room number the first time he met us, which had me a little worried about the security considering access to the room..

Very well positioned budget friendly hotel. Very comfortable beds, nice bathroom with an excellent shower, toiletries and good supply of loo roll. Tea and coffee making facilities, replenished daily, clen, white fluffy towels daily, including bath sheet. A clean and entirely functional room and bathroom, much better than expected. Hall and stairs are wellworn including the stair carpet. Really friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was good, cereal, fruit, yoghourt, toast, selection of cooked food. Pots of tea and coffee and toast served to your table. A well well run, friendly and efficient service

Stair carpet requires replacing and walls repainting. Wifi not available in the rooms. Scaffolding outside, guessing a repaint outside

I went to attend a music conference called brighten music conference, I wanted to stay somewhere close to the 360 and the Staff was really nice and friendly and understanding. Really love the compassion and hard work they put in. Initially, I was not too fond of the room I was put in but spoke to the staff they changed my room the next morning. It was my bday stay. I was alone and I didn't regret staying there. I loved it. Thanks for meeting my needs really appreciate it. I would love to come back here again.

Maybe hashbrowns and some veg options in the breakfast would be great but otherwise all good. But for meat eaters great breakfast. The staff was amazing really helpful and had smiling faces all the time.
