Beautiful old inn and accommodation annexe. I stayed in Rose Cottage, a separate building next to the main building. A huge room, very comfortable bed and a walk in wardrobe/dressing area. Super quiet and private. Lovely to have a little courtyard off the bedroom. Free parking was fantastic. If you like a nice walk, it’s a pleasant few miles to Glastonbury, otherwise a few minutes drive. Warm hospitality and great food in a beautiful old pub. Would absolutely stay again.

A few quirks of the old accommodation annexe, the floor was a bit uneven, and the bathroom heater appeared to be on the blink and quite cold in the mornings. But these were minor issues and did not affect my stay.

The staff were absolutely fantastic, really friendly super helpful with local information. The high street was idyllic and a bonus finding the outlet village. Will definitely be returning soon.

We stayed in room 12. The walls were very grubby and had scuff marks and drink on them. The bathroom was cleaned but there was chipped dry paint all over the floor. This was quite disappointing. Also the windows were dirty and so were the nets and curtains. The hallway floor carpet was filthy and had a smell to it. The friendly bar staff and location made the stay worth while. I will book a different room in future.

We stayed for the 1st time at the Bear Inn as my son had a swim competition at Millfield School so needed somewhere close, which it was, only a 4min drive! We as a family couldn't fault the pub, the staff was lovely but our only issue was the children's menu wasn't to my sons taste but thats my son being a picky eater. We had a room in a lovely cottage next to the pub outside which was perfect for us. We will definitely use the Bear Inn again and we recommended this pub/accommodation to all our swim friends. We will be back.

We were looked after from the moment we entered. Everyone was friendly and kind. Our room was very clean, spacious, comfortable and we had a lovely nights sleep. The breakfast was yummy and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. We have come here before to eat a few times and enjoyed the food and how we were looked after. It was a great decision to stay here and we will do again. The location is great too; the Clarkes outlet, restaurants, the high street, a park; all within walking distance. Thank you for a lovely stay and everyone being friendly, kind and helping us have a lovely time. See you again.

Welcoming and familiar environment, friendly and helpful staff, convenient and comfortable room, excellent food both for lunch, breakfast and dinner. We had a wonderful stay. Garden is absolutely lovely

I do not like the carpet on the floor. This is very common in UK, I think only british still like and use carpet on the floor of the rooms. But we know it, and we accept, not a big deal. Also, there is no mixer in the sink in the room bathroom, but there are two different faucets, one for col water, one for hot water, so when you wash your hands, left hand gets burned and rigth hand gets frozen. But this is tipical britisch too, I suppose, as I keep finding two faucets with no mixer only in UK. A parte of that, everything was perfect!

Good location in the nice little town of Street. Free parking in an adjacent public car park which I appreciated as so many hotels think nothing of charging for parking. Nice gastro pub vibe. The accommodation is in a little set of cottages next door so no pub noise underneath. Fairly nice room and if it had been £20 cheaper I’d have said good value for money. Clean and comfortable and nothing to complain about room wise.

Reception is right in a busy bar which I didn’t especially like, especially as bar staff watched me walking round with a wheelie case, pretty obviously a guest trying to locate reception, but no one helped direct me, just watched me. Young lady who checked me in looked rather tired and harassed and she wasn’t shy about showing it. Not the warmest or most professional welcome I’ve ever had. For the price I paid breakfast should have been included for sure.

The cottages where the rooms were located were in a quiet location just off the main road and within a minute or so walk from the main pub. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room to move around and place cases etc. There was a television and tea/coffee making facilities and the room was cleaned every day. Food was available at the nearby pub, which was very nice and smartly presented. Breakfast was available from there in the mornings.

Space for clothes storage was minimal and a bit disappointing. There were only three hangers on a very small clothes bar in the room (a family room) which meant that we were not able to unpack any clothes and had to live out of the suitcase. The evening menu at the Bear Inn was designed for main restaurant type meals. Whilst these were very nice, we could have done with a slightly larger menu to incorporate smaller, more snack type, meals - eg sandwiches, jacket potato with fillings etc. It works out costly if you were to eat there every evening.

The room was spacious and lovely and clean. They provided a fan which was very much needed as it had been a very hot day. We also had a bath which was lovely as not many hotels have this. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definetly book this hotel again. We had a meal in the pub on the first night, i had a roast turkey dinner and my son had the burger, both meals were really nice and reasonably priced.

We were above the kitchen and the extractor fan was a bit noisy and as it was a really hot day i think it made the room hotter.

Spacious family room and the food was excellent. Not far from Wells

The room and carpet could have been cleaner. The window latch was broken which created a draft and the lining paper was coming off the wall next to the bed. There could be a bit more attention to detail in terms of maintenance. There was no alternative to diary milk other than soya which my daughter cannot tolerate.

Friendly staff. Very clean in all areas. Free parking if you stay overnight. Free wi-fi. Great food. Really good breakfast, which is not included in room, so you pay separately for that. Very comfortable bed and clean room. Great shower with hot water. Lovely ambience. Within a short walk to Clarks shopping village.

We would have liked more V and Ve options on the main menu, apart from dishes that you would cook nightly at home...there was also plant based burger. Lots on the menu for standard meat dishes. There was a lovely full breakfast for V and Ve options.
