really lovely old building, great location and friendly helpful staff.

this is the first hotel I’ve ever stayed in that hasn’t got it own car park, which I did know when I booked ,pay and display car park is only 1 minute away however don’t forget at 9 o’clock each morning to renew your payment we got £50 fine at 9-15 as we forgot, the traffic wardens are out to get you as soon as they can…

Great location and lovely staff. The property has so much character, and there was a large reasonably priced car park immediately behind the property. A fan was provided in the room which felt like a nice touch given the age and construction of the building meant modern air conditioning was not an option. The breakfast was also very nice and the vegetarian option was delicious.

The bedding was very heavy it felt like a winter duvet which made for an extremely hot August Night. The age of the building meant that I didn't expect air conditioning, but the hotel would really benefit from having thinner summer duvets available.

Loved the location - right in the historic centre of Glastonbury, walking distance from all the sights we wanted to see. Loved the atmosphere of the hotel as well - felt like we had stepped right into history. Our room was very quiet, spacious and comfortable. Dinner in the pub downstairs was delicious, as was breakfast the next morning. A fantastic experience!

The lack of an elevator for conveying our (very) heavy suitcases up to the top floor - although the person at check-in kindly and very enthusiastically helped carry them upstairs. Also not a great experience with the shower - it was either scaldingly hot or freezing cold, never somewhere inbetween - but that was just a minor inconvenience.

Lovely historic building in a fantastic location in the heart of Glastonbury. We ate slow roast pork for our evening meal, which was absolutely delicious, especially the caramelized red cabbage and black pudding mash. We had breakfast which was also excellent. There's a good range of beers in the bar, including an excellent craft IPA. Comfortable room with high quality toiletries provided.

Only tiny things. The barman took my glass so quickly I lost the last sip of a beer I'd really enjoyed, and I'd have preferred one of the rooms in the old half of the building with more history and quirkiness.

A very lovely, historic, quirky hotel. The hotel was built in the 15th century and is steeped in history. So floors are not always even, but that added to its charm. Staff were lovely. Very attentive in the dining rooms. The room was neat, clean and well serviced each day. Food at breakfast and in the evenings was of a high standard. We particularly enjoyed breakfast, as they had gluten free and dairy free options.

The car park is a nightmare to find, particularly if you haven't been to Glastonbury before! However, it is worth persevering the one way system, as the car park is just at the back of the hotel.

The room was clean and smallish, but comfortable, however it was hot during the night with no breeze really coming in through the window as it was facing an enclosure and we had two fans going. The location was perfect, close to everything you want to do and see in Glastonbury. Breakfast was also very good, and the staff were also friendly. There is also a restaurant at the Inn which is nice, food was good.

The air flow in the room, perhaps not putting such heavy covers on the beds, there was no top sheet, just a duvet.

The atmosphere, location, food and staff were all exceptional. I look forward to seeing them all again! The room was perfect for me but would have been too small for two people. I had two twin beds and used the second bed as sort of a "dresser" to organize my clothes and things. There was an armoire to hang clothes and some small drawers for other bits. A lovely bottle of water was reflilled and placed by my bed each day. A very comfy bed I might add. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the water pressure... fantastic! And, the shower had a handle-held shower head option, critical for those of us who are vertically challenged!

It's not easy to highlight anything dissapointing because I enjoyed my 5-night stay there SO much! There was a broken windowpane beside my bed that was taped up as a "fix." The mildew covered calk in the tub was unappealing. Both issues could easily be addressed with a little TLC, maintenance and cleaning.

I liked the fact that the staff were approachable, friendly and treated me very well without being pretentious. the cleaners even left a note at the side of my bed wishing me a lovely time. I loved the history of the hotel. Best place I’ve stayed in Glastonbury. I was supposed to stay in The Covenstead but I made a mistake with dates (I am Autistic) so when I phoned the man from the COVENSTEAD raised his voice to me, reducing me to tears! so I was very lucky to get in to the King Henry V111 room. Everything was perfect.

I don’t think I didn’t like anything, the floors are uneven and creaky but what do you expect from such an old building.

It was uniquely historical, well situated, clean, friendly. The bathroom and sheets were spotless and there were hot drink making facilities. The restaurant was friendly and the food good pub food and there were bars and an outdoor seating area. The beer was excellent.

I was quite happy with it but the floors creaked ( very old building) , the furniture was serviceable but free standing and old, dark wood, so wouldn't suit everyone. My room was up two floors of spiral staircases.

Having been here before for food and drink we were excited to book a room and stay in this very historic hotel. We love the character and quirkiness of the George & Pilgrims Hotel and the four poster room we stayed in was totally unique, loved the feeling of stepping back in time! We really did want to have a ghostly encounter but sadly not! The Sunday dinner was amazing and the choice of drinks too. A great place to stay all round and right in the heart of Glastonbury town a place we love and travel to every year. Can’t wait to go back!
