We recently had the pleasure of staying at Cilbrwyn and it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Bob and Olha, who made us feel right at home. The room was comfortable and immaculate with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Cilbrwyn is a 140-year-old property that has been lovingly restored by Bob to an amazing level. The attention to detail in every aspect of the property is truly remarkable and adds to the charm and character of the place. Bob and Olha are wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to ensure their guests have a memorable stay. Their warmth and hospitality are second to none, and we felt like part of the family during our time at Cilbrwyn. The location of the property is perfect for exploring the beautiful Swansea Valley and surrounding areas, with the Brecon Beacons and Gower Peninsula within easy reach. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and provided the perfect end to our stay. The view from the breakfast table was breathtaking and added to the overall experience. We cannot recommend Cilbrwyn highly enough and look forward to returning in the near future. Thank you Bob and Olha for an unforgettable stay!

Absolutely nothing

A lovely, peaceful retreat away from noise and traffic. The room was immaculately clean and well presented with everything I needed. Out of my attic window all I could see was a forest of trees and blue sky .. bliss for a country-loving girl like me. I ordered the cooked breakfast for 8.30am and it was ready, piping hot on time to the minute, arguably the best breakfast I have eaten at any B&B. Olha and Bob were charming and enthusiastic hosts who gave me space to myself and time to chat in very appropriate amounts. They also offered suggestions and advice. Personally I loved the natural gardens and landscape and enjoyed taking a stroll around them. I was able to park my car with no problem. I was so tired from my trip I literally flaked out on the sumptuous bed and was off in minutes, so I didn't need an evening meal. Because of the location, there are no cafes, restaurants or shops nearby, so if you want nightlife and bistro dining locally, be advised that this B&B won't suit you unless you have a vehicle you can travel elsewhere. The hosts recommend some restaurants you can drive to, and a couple of takeaways that will deliver so you don't need to go hungry. Cilbrwyn is a lovely place in my opinion and I look forward to going back there again.

There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like. It was blissful.

I wanted to introduce my boyfriend to the concept of a traditional British bed & breakfast, and Bob and Olha's stay exceeded all of our expectations! So friendly and attentive, they welcomed us and even upgraded to a bigger room, which was super spacious, warm and beautifully decorated. The breakfast is out of this world and so worth experiencing, it's huge too! As I'm Ukrainian it was especially pleasing to learn that Olha is Ukrainian also, she showed us lots of Ukrainian books, decorations and ornaments around the house - it truly felt like coming home. We will be back and will recommend Bob & Olha's place to all of our friends!

Clean and comfortable room for three. Fabulously comfortable bed, ensuite shower room & separate toilet. Everything you need is in the room, tea/coffee making facilities etc. A quiet location away from the hussle and bussle but close to amenities and only 20 minutes from Swansea centre. Tasty and freshly cooked breakfast ready and waiting for you when you go down in the morning. Such friendly and attentive owners, who live on site. A great stay overall. Its a big thumbs up from us

Ohla and Bob were extremely welcoming and made both myself and my fiance feel at home immediately. Nothing was too much for either of them, and they were always on hand when we needed something, especially when I had a wardrobe disaster and needed a safety pin! Thanks Ohla. The location was stunning and he room and facilities exceeded our expectations, with an extremely comfortable bed, impeccably clean En Suite, and a stunning view of the horse fields from our windows. The garden was manicured and still a bit wild, which we loved, and we were greeted warmly by them both on the patio the first morning. Being a gay couple we have our reservations about staying away from chain hotel businesses, however we both felt extremely welcomed and would 10/10 recommend this guest house for all stated above, and as an LGBTQ+ friendly place to stay. We will definitely be staying here again and look forward to seeing them both in the future! We both sincerely thank you Ohla and Bob for making our experience in Wales one to remember!

Souranded by the green hills and valleys the Cilbrwyn is a excellent location to run from the city and charge your bateries. Bob, the host was so welcoming and his wife Olga was greating us with a big smile. Once we step in to the house, had the impression that we will be taken into an adventure. Lovely decorated and very clean. All questions were answered so prompt. The terrace and the view was breathtaking. Bob give us the hints to walk around the river close by, was amazing. Even we spent only one night there, for sure we will get back. Fairitale place❤️ Thank you Bob and Olga for welcoming us into your home.

Bob and Orla were excellent hosts and we received a very warm welcome when we arrived on Friday 24th Feb. We were on the 2nd floor in a lovely room which was very comfortable and warm. The views from the window were magnificent across the hillside. The breakfast looked and smelled delicious, unfortunately we had to leave early to go to the open day at Swansea Uni but will definitely have the breakfast next time we visit.

Everything was perfect for us.

The accommodation was lovely, with incredible views from the bedroom windows. I stayed with my 4 children and we had the whole of the top floor to ourselves ( enough sleeping room for 6 people). Bob and Olha were both so warm and friendly- they made us feel very welcome and at home. Our younger children ( 8 Yr old twins) said the stay was their favourite part of our trip. We didn't eat at Cilbrwyn as we had already agreed to have food with friends, but Bob offered to let us set up a bbq in the gardens if we wished. Very highly recommended!

Outstanding Welcome!!!! A property of real character, with hosts who also have warmth and character to cheer you up inn Life, not just for your stay in their home. The location up Swansea Valley gives a beautiful view of the facing hillside....all so green. The breakfasat choice was excellent.... we had the Continental Breakfast ....no rushing to move guests on.....

I wish we could have stayed for a whole week instead of the two days we had in the area....... that's OUR fault!!! We shall return.......

We received a warm welcome from the friendly hosts. Cilbrwyn is set in quiet, peaceful surroundings and our spacious room was comfortable, well-appointed and immaculately clean. We stayed in the 'King Room' and the view from there across the valley towards Darren mountain is spectacular. Breakfast was tasty, plentiful and beautifully laid out for us. Thank you, Olha and Bob for making our stay such such an enjoyable one.
