Room very comfortable Dinner excellent Breakfast superb

Swimming pool needs a good clean and painting. Bit tacky for a four star hotel

The room was of a good size. The shower was wonderfully powerful but might be a little small for someone of a larger build than myself. All staff where very welcoming and unflustered; Abbie the receptionist on this trip in particular shone like a star with her ability to multitask in a professional manner with the demands of two sets of people and the phone but with calmness and serenity. The Orangery staff where also professional and unflustered considering how incredibly busy they where on this particular occasion----Well done to all the staff members seen and unseen. The hotel is far enough back from a reasonably quiet road and has good views. The pool is well kept and relaxing, didn't use the gym facilities or sauna.

Hardly any clothes hanging area in the room I stayed in if staying longer than one night.

Overall, very good for what it is. It's quite a remote location but I knew that before I booked. It's a golfers paradise. As a non-golfer staying with my daughter it served its purpose of a one night stop over before making our way to our final destination. Plenty of parking available. We booked a small double room which was adequate with a nice sliding door for outside access. Plenty of light from windows. No wardrobe though or fridge in the room and the bathroom was a bit tight. The swimming pool is very good with no time restrictions so you can come and go as you please, up to 9am. Although, it is quite small and shallow, so not suitable for diving. Didn't try out any of the gym facilities. The staff were friendly. The food was excellent - we did the Orangery bar which was more suitable for kids, as opposed to the formal dining experience, which is also available. The only negative is that we had to wait half an hour for our dessert, which was really annoying, especially as the initial food came quickly and it was so nice. This was due to a staff mix up as it had got really busy in the formal dinner area. The lovely barmaid gave me a free drink to compensate. Overall, a thoroughly decent experience.

The reception staff are always polite, friendly and professional. Spacious standard bedroom with wardrobe this time and with both a shower and bath. Staff and manager at breakfast worked very efficiently, politely and very welcoming, food was good; eggs were delicious 👍; well done chickens and well done chefs 👍.

The bath and shower in room 215 are very small; I'm 5ft 2" and couldn't lay down in bath! And shower is tight for arm movement when showering! Issues trying to close windows; felt they'd dropped slightly but told hadn't and staff member closed for me.

Wonderful place to stay, a real luxury birthday treat for my sister! The rooms were so lovely and a great size, the food was tasty here and the whole hotel felt very sophisticated! The sauna was great and made us feel amazing afterwards. Plus most of the staff were very helpful and friendly, particularly the reception staff and breakfast staff from our experience😊

While the pool was really nice, very clean and in a sort of conservatory style room, there was no proper changing room other than one cubicle, so it seemed strange that either both men and women were expected to dry off and change in a small shared area next the sauna door, or (most people’s preferred option…) to run back to their hotel rooms wet and in towels😂 we found it very funny, but took away from the sophisticated experience.

staff were lovely. Room was very comfortable except Ii would have liked a lamp beside my side of the bed and I had to ask for extra milk sachets for the coffee. Lots of lovely hot water for a bath and shower.

Not sure about the plastic cups instead of glasses for water. As above re the lamp beside my bed as the desk was right next to my side. Loved the French doors but if it was very hot - it wasn't - then it would have been hard to have had any air in the room overnight.

The settings were really nice and the staff were very friendly helpful and professional. The accommodation was very adequate, breakfast was good.

Just felt there was a lack of staff to cover all the facilties. For example the lounge bar was closed and you had to go to the restaurant bar to get a drink and the staff were already busy serving customers with their meals. Dale Hill Hotel is not alone with this problem - I suppose with everything that is happening perhaps we were lucky to even get away for a break.

The size of the room, comfortable beds, views over the 18th green, good size bathroom and large towels. Complimentary bottles of water and selection of tea and coffee in the room Breakfast was plentiful and a good selection of food. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was serviced during our stay even though an email from the hotel said it wouldn't be. Lovely little pool although it was very warm because it is located in a conservatory, we weren't sure if we were allowed to open the doors. It would have been nice to sit and chill after a swim but it was too warm. Allotted times for swimming and no children after 5pm which is a bonus so no being water bombed unless they overstay. We asked the hotel for a specific type of room and bed, this was allocated. thank you. We would stay again, it's in a beautiful area and only 90 minutes from where we live.

No fridge in the room which I would have expected in a 4* hotel. I am aware this is not listed on the room facilities but still odd. Dining room was very hot, had to ask staff to put the aircon on or open windows to let air flow though at breakfast time. People not vacating the pool after their allotted time had finished.

The hotel wasn"t busy so we were upgraded on one of the rooms we had booked. Both rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. The location of our rooms was very quiet, overlooking the golf course. The staff were all very pleasant, the lady who checked us in for breakfast and looked after us was lovely. We went for a swim the afternoon we arrived and had the pool to ourselves. The breakfast was plentiful and good quality.

I can't think of anything I disliked

The hotel is situated in a pretty area and offers good golf facilities for those who want it. The pool was closed probably because the hotel was very quiet, client-wise. Our room was large and the bed comfortable. Good wi-fi connection. Breakfast was fine and our waiting staff very pleasant and efficient.

A small point but one SMALL piece of soap for the bathroom sink, bath and shower is stingy ! It's silly little things like that which annoy people when there is no real need to.
