Old Loans Inn

Very quite and peaceful location only 5 minutes drive from the seaside town of Troon. The Old Loans Inn itself is easy to find and we parked at the rear of the building itself. First we came upon the inviting beer garden before entering the comfortable and spacious dining area where we were met by very friendly staff who booked us in and gave simple directions to our room. The room itself was very clean has all the mod cons you could ask for. Ironing board and iron, kettle with a selection of teas and coffe, hair dryer, tv etc. We had dinner during our stay in the Old Loans Inn and loved every morsel. Large portions and wonderful flavours to be had. Highly recommended…

We like the location which allowed us to break up our journey into the highlands. Dog friendly and really welcoming Our room was very spacious and we took two dogs. Staff were superb and made us feel welcomed at all parts of our stay Breakfast was included and there was a great range to choose from for cooked and the continental was good too. The hotel had meals so we chose to dine there as we had the dogs. Great selection just what you needed, we had a super Sunday dinner too. Lovely staff who went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. Thank you to them all

room was large , clean and had a nice bubble bath restaurant was very good for breakfast and well staffed easy check in - staff were very helpful good handy free parking at the back plenty of coffee tea and a few biscuits in the room

tv was a bit small for us food in the restaurant at night was expensive we were in room 111 woke up with heavy fast foot steps really noisy - it caused a metallic noise (suspect it came from the ceiling light shade) from 7:20 to about 7:50 I suspect the maid was in a store room above us ? very annoying -

Bedroom was comfortable and a bit bigger than expected. Both mornings breakfast was very good and plentiful. Parking was convenient, free and plentiful. Location was convenient for short drive into Troon. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed using the external seating area at the rear when our two children came to see us. Good value for money and we would be happy to stay there again.

We would have preferred a twin room but the hotel didn't appear to have any.

This is our second time at this lovely little hotel. We like the service and the food. The hotel is in a very small village and you need a car to get into Troon but that doesn't matter to us.

The coffee on the first morning was lovely but on the second two, it was cold so had to ask for fresh. Also, the window in the room is needing fixed, luckily it was warm weather so it didn't need to be closed. Also, noisy floorboards when people are passing in the corridor.

Love staying here! Rooms always immaculate, as is every other area of the hotel. Staff always friendly and inviting .. you feel like one of the family! Decent food, and very good breakfast.

Never any issues; and nothing is too much trouble to resolve, and quickly.

Breakfast was good staff very accommodating .

The hotel is not actually in Troon as expected in the description.There is a substantial amount of road noise and street lamps directly outside the window that are not sufficiently obscured by the curtains. There is no working USB points to charge your phone by the bed. The 3 pin plug is unusually not like any I have seen since the 80’s in my parents holiday home before being completely rewired.This is so sad the rooms are lovely its surely an oversight.

Loved how dog friendly it was, Staff could not be anymore accommodating with us and my dog, they were all so happy and really helpful. Room was a great size and so clean. Loved the dog bowls in the room when we arrived was a nice touch. Great choice at Breakfast. Food was lovely. It was great they had a car park, so close at no extra charge. Location was lovely and quiet but not to far from Troon, where people so friendly and an amazing beach you can walk right out.

Good position just outside Troon. Good car park. Made welcome on arrival. Room on 2floor clean comfortable beds & all the basic needs. Evening meal had in the Inns restaurant good menu choice, staff friendly and pleasant. Breakfast served in the same area good choice of hot & cold breakfast items.

lt was an exceptional hot day & the room was very warm if you opened the window got road noise But the room did have a large blow fan to help cool the room.

Old Loans Inn is lovely....its a little gem ... The room was bright ,spacious , spotlessly clean with a super comfy bed. The staff we met were just so friendly and professional. Breakfast was cooked freshly The location was ideal for us and there is plenty of parking

We liked everything but a safe in the room would have been useful as we were travelling from.outside the UK and had passports etc with us
