Great location, good food served in the restaurant by friendly, helpful staff. The receptionist Lorraine was very helpful and went the extra mile to make your stay even better. I would recommend this hotel

Pillows were hard and need replaced. There was body wash in the shower but no hair shampoo or conditioner. The hairdryer was nailed in a drawer and difficult to use as it was on a short cord

The room was comfortable and clean and very well served. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice for guests.

The public areas in the hotel, dining room, foyer and bar were always a bit cold with some folk having to wear pullovers or jackets indoors. A couple of loudly banging communal doors, not helped by the wind, could be easily addressed. The dinner menu with drinks was a bit pricey in comparison to other nearby establishments

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Stay was for my birthday - room was fantastic, large with stunning view of Ayr beach and beyond - think this was a complimentary upgrade - very nice. Breakfast was delicious and very good value add on. With short stay, didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant or bar this trip. Free adjacent parking.

Fridge in room for a longer stay would be great for me. Outside space could be nicer - though it was a miserable wet day on our visit - may be lovely in sun!

Lovely big room, very helpful staff and nice breakfast. Stayed for dinner as well both nights we were there and it was very reasonable for price and tasted great. Right by the promenade and beach it is in a very convenient location

Radiators were all on in the whole hotel it felt like. Very hot indeed, even the staff were struggling with it in the restaurant. We had a towel radiator in the bathroom which we asked to be turned off. The manager came and turned it off for us and was very helpful and friendly.

The position of the hotel from the beach was excellent, also car parking facilities were first class. All staff were polite & very helpful.

Unfortunately there was a problem at breakfast time with incessant barking. It was like having breakfast at Crufts. Staff were aware of the situation but owners of the dog ignored the staff. We stayed in Room 4,size was good but there was no view out of the window. Next time we stay we shall ask for a room with a view.

Beautiful seafront location and views, adjacent to the lovely Ayr beach and promenade. Comfortable rooms and courteous and attentive staff made the stay a real pleasure. Dogs were welcomed, and well catered for. The bar and restaurant were first class and comfortable. A family run hotel, not pretentious in any way, we felt welcome and very comfortable throughout our stay.

One minor quibble was that the heated towel rail in the bathroom didn’t get warm, and leaked a little. But it didn’t really have any negative impact on a lovely stay.

The breakfast was outstanding. Great value for money. The staff were efficient and friendly. Although we had issues with the shower and the smell in the bathroom, the price was good value for money. The location could not have been better.

The room was extremely small. The shower was either very hot or very cold and was very difficult to have a comfortable shower. There was also a strange smell in the bathroom for the length of our stay.

The outside of the building is very dates (nothing much to be done about that), but there was plenty of free parking and the location was superb - literally a stone's throw to the beach! The room was clean and the bed really comfortable - the pillows (I'm really fussy!) were flat and old, so I had to use 3. All of the staff were superb and extremely accommodating and helpful. Dinner was lovely but the toast was stone cold at breakfast. Overall a pleasant stay and I would definitely return

from the moment we arrived we were happy. It was so close to the beach, the gentleman on the reception was friendly and helpful, our room was fab. Roomy, clean and a HUGE bed. The night-time staff found my husbands phone and kindly brought it to our room when we called it. And the breakfast was delish and the morning staff were very attentive. So happy with our saty.

Everything was great. Our dog was no problem to the hotel. Friendly professional staff and service throughout was excellent. Room was very comfortable and even had a door out to the yard for our dog. Unusually we were catered for in a separate area from other guests if we wanted our dog with us when we ate breakfast. Evening food was top class and well served in the relaxing restaurant and bar which also had outside seating and tables. Parking was easy. A beautiful clean sandy beach was a 1 min walk, Children's play parks (indoor and outdoor) with catering facilities only 4 min walk away. Couldn't have been better. Ayr had everything we wanted.
