This is the second time I've stayed here, and my review will be very similar. It makes an ideal place to meet up with old friends; there is a roomy bar with good beer and food, but it's main strength is it's staff. We spoke with several of the staff over the weekend, and they were all very helpful, friendly and attentive. The location is good for a wander into town, or a short drive to walk around Clumber Park.

The rooms and corridors have a very old fashioned feel, which could put off some people, though others would call it character ! The parking behind the hotel was tricky on both visits, depending on the number of visitors. When we arrived it was very full, but when we left it was empty and quite roomy, but it is the first impression you get if you are a newcomer to the hotel. The en suite shower cubicles are looking a bit tired, with some stains, but the room are quite well equipped. We had a room with a double and single bed and it was a good size.

All the staff made us very welcome, and we felt they were genuinely looking after us during our visit. In particular, the check in and bar staff made sure we had everything we needed. I was not expecting our room to be cleaned and get fresh towels etc during our 2 night stay, but this was done while we were out walking Clumber Park. The location of this hotel is perfect for walkers exploring local scenery, and has easy access to the town centre.

The car park behind the hotel was always a bit of a challenge ! It's quite small, and used by local builders to park. However, we had 2 cars with us, and always managed to squeeze in without blocking anyone.

Great value. The deluxe double had everything you need for a short comfortable stay. Nice pub with good food options too, though looks a bit run down from the outside.

If checkout time was 12.00 (the time the pub opens) then i would have gone straight down for a meal and drink while i waited for my train. But getting kicked out at 11am meant i had to walk half a mile to another place with all my luggage and I spent my time and money there instead.

This public house with rooms has very good accommodation for the price paid however do not expect much more i.e. breakfast. Ideally located for Worksop Railway Station which is opposite the hotel with connections to Sheffield, Meadowhall and Leeds together with Retford, Lincoln, and Nottingham. Bus departs opposite for Rotherham and Barnsley. The town centre is a ten-minute walk away where you will locate some shops, bars, and restaurants. The central location does have one downside if you are allocated a room on the main road you will have heavy traffic noise throughout the night and as you are also above the bar, I experienced loud music until close to midnight on a Wednesday night. The pub is a traditional ‘boozer’ which offers food in the evenings, drinks until late and satellite TV The rooms were a really massive positive surprise as walking to my allocated residence for the night through the corridors and communal areas it did not inspire confidence in what to expect given the rundown décor and poor cleanliness which culminated with a pile of dirty laundry bags being located outside the room. However, the room was excellent, especially the extremely comfortable bed which had clean crisp linen and superb five-star pillows. Traditionally decorated and very clean. The television was small yet functioned well and the Wi-Fi was excellent. The hot drinks tray was very good. The bedroom benefited from an in-room sink however the main bathroom and toilet were just across the landing which was also very first-rate and exceptionally clean; the shower was more than acceptable in terms of power and you got fantastic fluffy large towels also. Overall, I am going to recommend the Station Hotel, especially given the price that I paid for the stay.

Everything about this room was fantastic. The location was amazing and we had no problems checking in or anything. I booked a few hours before and the room we were set up in was phenomenal, definitely not what I expected for a cheap last minute booking. Next time, we'll be checking in early to socialise at the bar, seeing as we enjoyed our stay so much.

Our only issue was that the room had a lack of airflow, but it was only because we had a ground floor room. We did have the door open for a bit and took a cold shower, just so the heat was bearable

I stayed for one night in the cheapest room, so to be honest I wasn't expecting overly much - it was perfectly serviceable for my requirement - the food and the bar were very good, though...

There didn't appear to be much hot water on tap in either the room's sink or the shared bathroom for the room...it was more tepid, but really wasn't that big a deal to me...

Great, and speedy communication with the hotel after booked online. Phone calls to confirm room and Sunday roast we booked. Easy to find. Parking on site. Clean everywhere. Sanitiser stations. Rooms were lovely. A good size. Clean. Comfy double bed with with pristine duvet cover and pillow cases. En-suite shower. TV. Tea & coffee making facilities. Desk. Chair. Mini fridge. Lovely view of the garden. Large window to open. I had a fault (repair in my room) Staff were super quick at getting it sorted. Very courteous. Sunday roast was huge and delicious. Menu and food looked good for any other times. Freshly made and prepared on site. Bar/restaurant area is lovely, and comfortable. Great choice of beers/wines/spirits. Organised with check in and out. Staff were very knowledgable about where things were in town, i.e. Indian restaurant, shops etc. Could not hear the trains nearby. Gorgeous, quaint train station over the road that offers a great breakfast.

Pub is open until 11pm. Drinkers/smokers stood under the bedroom windows on that side, talking quiet loudly and echos as a courtyard arrangement. Possibly have a sign saying respect guests maybe asleep. It was too warm to shut the window. Music was quiet loud too. They provided hand soap but no shower gel or shampoo sachets so pack your own. I had😊 None of this ruined our stay at all. A lovely hotel with great staff. So much so, we asked if they had availability for a stay again soon 😃

Very clean room, perfect for an overnight stay, friendly welcome, the shower room was quite small and tired but perfectly serviceable. The room matched my requirements perfectly and I would use again without hesitation.

In all honesty the only thing that really needs to be updated is the shower room. They don't serve breakfast however this was not a problem as advised of a great cafe for a full English.

Great atmosphere, people very friendly. We were able to have a room on the ground floor which was great as we have walking disabilities. The room was very clean and spacious, two large windows, high ceiling and huge TV, bathroom was an excellent size with large walk-in shower, towels provided, small bars of soap and kettle with tea/coffee and fridge.

maybe put a saucer with the cup? extra blanket when radiators are not on.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at the Station hotel. Previously I had a shared bathroom. The noise of the door and other people using the bathroom kept me awake so I paid a bit more for an ensuite which was a toilet, shower and small sink. I'm going back to the Station hotel in a few days time due to the train strikes altering my plans.

It was a fairly small ensuite but it was what I wanted.
