Breakfast was local ingredients, well cooked. Location was very central with nowhere on the island more than 30/40 minutes away depending on road conditions Some great places to visit: Brading Roman Villa, the Needles (especially by the rib boat), the Model Village, Farringford House (Tennyson's home), Carisbrooke Castle, Osborne House to name but a few

Some plug points could have been better placed and the mirror in the bathroom could be a bit lower (I am only 5ft 2) but they are only minor niggles

Lovely friendly welcoming host. Super breakfast. Comfortable room, with nice touches like fresh milk in the fridge and biscuits for the dog. Great to be encouraged to use the big garden.

My only tiny quibble (and I think it's probably down to Booking.com rather than the B&B) is that as is often the case there was a small additional charge for the dog - which is absolutely fine, but it would be good to be able to see that charge flagged up before you make a booking. As I said, no criticism of the B&B - it seems to be a universal thing about how information is presented.

The property is in the beautiful village of Whitwell & is in a lovely location. The on site parking is spacious and easily accessible. The room was clean and tidy with an information folder of with everything you need to know about the local area, including local pubs and restaurant, tourist attractions and information about the B&B itself. The shower was powerful and warm, which was ideal after a tiring day on the beach. Chris and Kelly were always helpful, going above and beyond. I’ll definitely be coming back again in the future.

Chris was very welcoming and we very much enjoyed being able to sit in the back garden during our stay. When he saw us heading out there with a picnic he kindly offered us some wine glasses. There were lots of other little extra touches that made a difference - fresh milk for tea/coffee in the fridge and an honesty box for a range of chocolate bars and crisps. Add to that, great breakfasts and a comfortable room - altogether a lovely stay.

This was a lovely bed and breakfast. It's off the beaten path in the southern part of the island, but was perfectly located for the start of the event I was taking part in. The host (Chris) was really welcoming, even offering to sort me out breakfast despite me leaving at 0530 the following morning. The fridge in the hallway with fresh milk (for tea & coffee) and chilled water was a really nice touch. Room was really nice, comfortable and a lot of space. The room I has was on a corner of the house, so had 2 windows which meant it got lots of light and could open those to get plenty of air in the room. Location wise it was also a 5 minute walk (and all downhill - well on the way there!) to the local pub where the food was excellent.

Everything was absolutely fine

Owner, Chris, was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with everything you could wish for. Location was very good with a charming, local pub (The White Horse) providing a super range of home cooked food within walking distance for the evening when we arrived. Our room was very comfortable and spacious with refreshments, TV and good WIFI connection.

We found everything very good and absolutely nothing to be critical of.

Was concerned with previous reviews regarding the venue needing a little TLC. This is somewhat true however it's not a deal breaker and certainly did not impact our stay. We would definitely recommend this place!

Lovely accommodation in a very pleasant village. We arrived on foot in pouring rain and the host provided a heated airer for us to dry off our wet clothes and boots - excellent customer service and very much needed. Bed was comfortable and shower was great. Breakfast was good too - freshly cooked and decent portions.

Warm and homely, lovely hosts Enjoyed the spacious super king bed. Goodies to buy from the fridge, lovely garden to stroll in. Parking was excellent. Breakfast variations met with a smile and fulfilled. Lovely experience.

Excellent character property, comfortable, spacious and the garden is definitely worth a visit to wind down for a few hours following any long walks or ferry journey. Chris and Kelly are excellent hosts, a warm welcome and the breakfast is amazing (there was a wide choice available but it had to be the full English!). Location - between Ventnor and Freshwater, perfect for exploring the island.

Nothing to dislike - if we could, we would have stayed longer
