Warm welcome, lovely food in the restaurant which is downstairs. Renovated old stagecoach inn, cosy pretty coloured decent size rooms, Laura Ashley style. Modern bathroom, great double shower. Creaky floorboards but thick carpet and it is an old stagecoach so it's part of its charm. The food is local produce, all fresh and was amazing and I love to cook. Continental breakfast, you get to choose a ciabatta roll with a filling, small fridge in the room. Plenty of choice. Lovely croissant with pots of jam. Bed was queen size, medium soft which was good for my bad back, freshly laundered bedding. Check in at 5pm out at 10.30am but staff are lovely and helpful and will accommodate you. Will definitely stay again and eat at the restaurant, loved it. Paid £80 for a Sunday stay ❤️

Could do with bathroom hooks on the back of the bathroom door so you can hook towels or clothes up. Would have changed the layout of the bathroom, so you didn't accidentally walk into the glass shower panel as you walked out of the bathroom. I'm disabled and use crutches, I managed the stairs but if you need a wheelchair it's not good as it's an old stagecoach inn.

The location was perfect after spending over two hours traveling then the whole day at longleat it only took me 5 minutes to reach the Angel inn, we were also amazed by the amount of choice there was for breakfast and how lovely it was all laid out. The room was old but new it had a very modern feel and look for what is an older building and the room was so much bigger than expected, the shower was fabulous with shower gel and shampoo provided and finally all the attention to detail we really appreciated they seemed to have thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you for lovely stay and we will certainly be staying with you again next time we visit the area :-)

Nothing they were fabulous and very accommodating when we had arrived later in the evening.

The staff were very kind & helpful as I was on crutches. I met two different cleaners & they were lovely & helpful too. The bed was very comfortable. The bonus of a yummy sandwich for the next day was fabulous. The meal I had in the restaurant was absolutely delicious!

There were some tired spots in the bedroom - two frames had pictures that had slipped down so looked awful. The groating in the shower needs to be redone. I meant to tell them that the shower wash & shower shampoo had little black stuff at the top above the liquid so I didn’t use them.

It is located in a peaceful village but so easy to access the local area, loads of parking round the back. The staff were brilliant from the moment I walked in, I arrived late and tired and was shown to my room and shown where my breakfast had been placed, which was really nice. The bed was comfy, the shower was one of the best I've ever experienced and the bathroom was huge! It looked like the rooms had recently been decorated, or that they really maintain the rooms well, it was so cosy and comfortable and has everything you need. I loved my stay and will definitely be back - thank you!

Everything was perfect.

We booked a family room as we were staying with our 8 year old Grandson. The room was a good size, very pleasant, warm and cosy. There was a king size bed and double sofa bed. The beds were comfortable with good quality bedding. The bathroom was very nice and spacious. Everything was exceptionally clean. Having the excellent Campagna Restaurant on site was a real bonus (the rooms are above the restaurant but couldn't hear any noise). Very nice environment with excellent food. The room has a well stocked fridge with milk, orange juice, butter, jam and marmalade and spring water. There were a good selection of cereal in the room. The croissants and sandwiches of our choice were delivered to our room the night before and we could put the sandwiches in the fridge. I was unsure about this arrangement but breakfast was fine and ample and there was a table and chairs to sit at in the room. Staff were all brilliant, helpful and friendly. Great location for us as we were visiting Longleat Safari Park which is only11-12 mins drive away. Wookey Hole is about 45 mins drive away. We would definitely love to return.

Lovely welcoming reception warm spotlessly clean room and well provided with toiletries and a well supplied hostess try. Large walk in shower . Lovely restaurant with wide menu on site but for breakfast continental only and served in room but satisfactory and fridge in room kept food fresh . The staff really worked hard and staff issues are a difficulty for all hospitality providers at present

Car parking could be difficult when restaurant full it was very soon a full car park. weather conditions were very bad snow and ice and car park on a slight slope did not appear to have been salted all very slippery . My bed in room 3 it was 2 singles pushed together for a double but where they touched was very uncomfortable and for me resulted in some discomfort There are quite a few steps upstairs to rooms no lift and a step down from bedroom to ensuite

Pretty village restaurant, lovely conservatory where we ate, good atmosphere. Cosy good size room, large shower room. Nice clean white sheets & towels , the bed was so comfy we slept really well. The staff were so friendly & nothing too much trouble. Breakfast in the bedroom worked well & was plentiful, the fridge was restocked daily & a lovely fresh sandwich was made by the chef each evening to pop in the fridge for the next day.

Great location. Close to Longleat which was the purpose of our stay. Handy to have a restaurant downstairs with tasty, kid friendly food. Liked the breakfast being delivered the evening before. Room was large enough and comfortable for us. Staff were friendly.

The room did get very hot, especially night. We had to leave the windows open. The shower temperature was really hot. Us adults just about managed it but it was not safe for children. The noise from the restaurant at night was ok for us but some might find it annoying.

Staff welcome good. We had 2 rooms for us and Son and partner. All good with rooms though Son found his considerable height was a disadvantage in the bed ( he has this often so no worries). Bathrooms great and well resourced. Food in resteraunt excellent and well prepared and service fine. Would use it again if in the area.

Although the breakfast delivered the night before was fine. There is a sense of holiday if you are served breakfast in the morning! But we did know when we booked and having a fridge was a big plus.
