The Old Bell - Warminster0

We enjoyed our stay at The Old Bell. Friendly staff, great location, plenty of parking and a lovely breakfast. Breakfast was a choice of cereals, yougart, fruit juices, tea/coffee and choice of cooked Full English, with a Vegan and Veggie cooked breakfast options too, which were delicious. Dinner was excellent in the Thai restaurant in the courtyard. Very close to Longleat (easy 10 min drive)

Rooms could do with a little updating and painting windowsills etc. Would have liked to be able to open a window as bit stuffy

The bar was comfortable, like a traditional pub. Bar food was great. The Thai starters were very tasty and well cooked. I gave a lower rating for prices, mainly because im from the Midlands, and it's a bit cheaper up here! The breakfast was great value for money. Local produce, well presented and cooked. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. There's tea, coffee, and biscuits provided, also shampoo, soap and shower gel in the bathroom.

The bar closed a bit early, not a real issue to be fair.

Clean and bright throughout. Very comfortable room with tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary mineral water. I had a small wc/shower room which was a couple of steps up from the bedroom but I think that was just a quirk of my particular room. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful or cheerful - really nice people. The bar was excellent, with a great choice of beers, snacks and food options. We ate Thai food in the bar area and it was very good. More 'traditional' pub food is also available. The on-site car park was a big positive for me and my friends as we didn't want to leave our motorbikes on the street or in a public car park overnight.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like. One thing to note: Breakfast wasn't available in the hotel, that might surprise/disappoint some people. There are places nearby if you do want breakfast but my friends and I were heading off first thing and planned to get breakfast en route so it didn't bother us.

Staff were lovely, helpful and efficient. Food was AMAZING, best Thai food I've ever eaten. Rooms need a bit of TLC but these are new owners and are getting around to it. Building is amazing, old and full of character

We had a room at the front - there's a nightclub across the street which plays loud music until 2am at weekends. Didn't disturb my sleep though and the fighting was entertaining. If you think that would bother you, ask for a room at the back

Room was clean and perfect for the purpouse of the business trip. Friendly staff and very helpfull. Thai restaurant serves lovely food. I have been well supported during accomodation payment difficulties. High quality of customer service.

All was very good, just a small recommendation: from early morning on Sunday till about 10am a lot of very loud door banging. Some airfreshener in a room would give a nice, fresh smell🙂

Clealiness, friendly service.

Restaurant arrangements could have been better explain because it was called a Thai restaurant and the only menu which was on display on the bar was Thai presumed that was the only one available it was only on the second evening of our stay that when I ask what they did for children I was then given two menus one for children and one otherwise we would have eaten on our first night if we had known about this.

Decent size, clean family rooms and bed was comfortable, good breakfast, excellent location for Longleat and surrounding attractions. Staff at breakfast were good. Owner was helpful and accommodating about late check in when I called ahead.

Water pressure in shower was rubbish (top floor room, not sure if this made it worse than lower floors), evening bar staff staff a bit hit and miss (helpful one minute but then leave you standing at the bar while they talk to their mates or disappear to the kitchen for 10mins) - reception on TV in room was rubbish which is frustrating when you are trying to entertain a 3 year old at 0630am and all their toys are at home.

It was an all round lovely stay, The room was spacious comfortable and clean good shower. But there are stairs that are quite steep to get to some of the rooms.The Thai restaurant is through the court yard but you can have meal in the bub and wonderful food it is. The court yard was very nice great choice pub of food and drink and the young staff make this accommodate so warm and welcoming for us. The owners of this establishment should be proud of the staff for what they do. As for the town its a nice walk around with all your amenities longleat is only 10 minutes away and cheddar gorge is about 40 minutes.

Nothing every this was just right for a great weekend.

Well updated old coaching inn. Comfortable bed and surprisingly warm room. Initially disappointed that no breakfast is offered but the excellent Coffee#1 is virtually next door & offers (eg) great porridge & excellent coffee. Staff mentioned that, being a pub, there might be some noise, but the Saturday evening music was not loud and went off promptly by 11pm. Parking alongside/to the rear of the inn.

Shame that we didn't have the opportunity to try the Thai restaurant in the courtyard of the inn.

This was such a lovely stay. Staff were welcoming and helpful from the get go. My husband, toddler and I loved the perfect location (close to our visits of Longleat and Westbury) and convenience of parking is a huge selling point. The room was clean, a good sized suite for us and toddler, and again, staff make you feel at home!

The main improvements would be adding a lift to the building for accessibility for all, as well as making carrying luggage easier. Another would be having a mini fridge in the suites so Childrens food can be stored.
