Cherry tree farm B and B0

Cherry tree farm is a beautifully restored old house in the village of Nunney, with roots back hundreds of years. The ancient beams and floor boards have been retained, and there is even a well and a priest hole! The lawns and gardens are peaceful, delightful and extensive. The private bedroom and bathroom in the 'Amber' suite were very large and well appointed. The communal sitting and dining areas were also generous (they are shared by only two suites). Our hosts Jayne and Andrew were lovely friendly people with lots to tell us (when we asked) about the building and village. We thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay.

It didn't bother us, but some visitors might find Nunney a bit small. There is only one place to eat, namely the nice pub, which is almost next door. However the town of Frome is only 10 mins away (by car) with plenty of shops and restaurants.

It was lovely from the minute we arrived as we had a very warm welcome from Jane and Andrew and Fred the dog. Beautiful garden to look at from our bedroom. The breakfasts were delicious. The bathroom had the best walk in electric shower ever and the bath tub was big and deep with plenty of hot water - I could have spent hours in it! Jane was very helpful in sharing good information as to how to get to Bath and things to see and telling us the fascinating history of Cherry Tree Farm much of which was discovered by them during their restoration of the house. We highly recommend this B & B and hope to go again.

Bath towels could have been bigger but that’s only because we are used to bath sheets at home.

Nunney was a really lovely village,good pub/restaurant and Cherry Tree Farm far exceeded our expectations.Jayne & Andrew are excellent hosts,nothing too much trouble.The house which they have renovated to a very high standard,has lots of interesting history which adds to the charm of the place. Breakfast was great,home made muesli,strawberry jam and marmalade.

Very good looking property. Cosy snug and television room, fabulous bathroom, extensive attractive gardens, sunny & airy breakfast room, friendly informative hosts. Fresh milk in fridge & delicious cake in our room.

Would have preferred a divan or wooden-framed bed. The metal-framed bed in our room was elegant but not firm enough and a little too springy for two occupants.

The b&b had everything you could possibly need and had historical touches of character throughout the house. Nunney itself is beautiful and there’s plenty of places around that are ideal for day trips. Jayne was fantastic and very happy to give recommendations of places to visit. I would definitely stay here again.

Friendly couple running the B&B. Interesting old house with lovely garden. 11 yr old loved the access to table tennis in garden. Nice breakfast. Daily cake snack provided. Plenty of drinking water (and milk within a mini-fridge)

Unfortunately the nature of the building limited them to building a shower within the room (Rowan) rather than in separate bathroom. To make it worse doorscreen was clear glass - so we felt a little lacking in privacy.

Loved everything about this B&B. Amazing hosts, Jayne is so accommodating and knowledge about the town and its history. The b&b was beautiful, lovely location and a real old village style building with original features, a huge garden and prefect location for a nice stroll around the castle. Breakfast was also lovely, cooked to perfection and so many options. I would love to stay again and highly recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful relaxing get away.

The location and accommodation were truly stunning, we were made to feel so at home by the owners Jane and Andrew. Breakfast was just the best, and Jane went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed.

Jayne & Andrew were very welcoming from the moment we walked through the door. Having had a few questions before our arrival Jayne answered them all very helpfully and gave us additional tips once we arrived. Delicious breakfast with non dairy and gluten free options. Jayne's home made cake daily was amazing...and I love my cake!! Homemade jams and marmalades were a lovely addition too.

There was nothing we did not like!

Everything! Jayne and Andrew were very welcoming and helpful. Comforable bed. Lovely, huge bathroom. Beautiful garden with lovely sitting spaces and table tennis. Fab breakfast.
