Bistro Lotte

Beds and shower were excellent. Location was brilliant - easy walk into the centre of Frome and convenient for my daughter and family staying in a rented cottage. Parking easy. Frome is also convenient for lots of other places nearby. Awesome food at the bistro - but you do need to book.

The stairs were very steep - we knew there was no alternative to the stairs and were prepared for them, but they did turn out to be very hard work. We were on the second floor. The TV was quite a small screen and the only place to view it was from the bed, so a larger screen would have been better.

The bistro downstairs was very nice. The food was plentiful and enjoyable and the staff who served me were very polite and friendly. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable with good bed linen.

There were dirty stains on the carpet. The window wouldn't open properly and so I had to keep it closed and open the bathroom window and keep the door of the bathroom open all night. The view from the window was a generator of some sort I think. I could hear the music in the bistro downstairs very clearly until 11pm. It was a very cold night and the 'quilt' was paper thin with a flimsy small blanket available. I had to wear all my clothes in bed.

First time staying here but what not hesitate to stay again. Comfortable room if a little small (room 2). Very comfortable bed and excellent shower and facilities. We eat in the Bistro which was really excellent. Busy for a Tuesday night but staff were friendly and attentive and food was first class. Breakfast was hosed in the adjacent bar. The offering was a little different from the norm - I chose the Continental platter with nice bread, cheese and ham. Overall a great place to stay.

The room was little small - not a problem for a single night but might be a wearing after a few nights. Room was comfortable though. Parking is not on site. We were directed to a space in an adjacent street and fortunately managed to park without difficulty. I can imagine it might be challenging to find parking at busy times.

Continental breakfast offering very good - coffee excellent. Staff very friendly and efficient. Evening meal in the Bistro was very good - we hadn't booked in advance but they made sure that as guests we had a table. The location was perfect for our needs and the room was relatively spacious. Lovely powerful and hot shower; comfortable bed.

Music from the bar below went on until 11:40 - the earplugs provided the next day should have been available on the first night. Parking was advertised as being available but the 3 allocated spaces were occupied all 3 days of our stay.

Overnight stay to attend a concert in Frome. The host was very welcoming and very helpful. The restaurant looked inviting, but unfortunately we did not have time to stay for dinner or breakfast. The room was perfect for our needs the bathroom looked to be new and we liked the selection of coffee and tea. The bed was very large. A short but comfortable stay.

We parked in the cattle market car park in Frome and walked to the hotel and had not realised that it was quite a steep climb. maybe something to consider for some guests.

Room was spotless. Comfy beds. Warm. Perfect location to explore Frome and surrounding. We really liked how kids room was open to our room. It helped kids feel safe in a new place. Owners were very accommodating. Recommended places to eat. We decided to have dinner in the bar downstairs. It had a nice ambiente and friendly staff. Food was delicious. They had tasty children’s menu too. We really appreciated that they prepared breakfast bags for us as we needed to leave before bistro opened for breakfast. The bags were generous and delicious, included all what you would have in the bistro. They even prepared a special allergy free version for our kids. We stayed on Sunday night. Parking was free on the street. The bar hosted live music. We don’t know if the performer arrived or not as we couldn’t hear anything at all. We didn’t take any photos of our room. But it was exactly same as on the photos advertised. We loved our stay in Bistro Lotte and wished we could stay longer! Highly recommend!

Breakfast from 9am. We would appreciate earlier breakfast as we needed to leave be 9am. However owners prepared generous breakfast bags for us. The quality and quantity of food in it exceeded our expectations. Therefore we still give 10 stars!

Bistro Lotte is a really lovely place to stay. Our room was lovely, clean and comfy. Breakfast is great, the tea, coffee and toiletries were all of high quality. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful and I can highly recommend the Bistro.

Our only criticism would be we stayed four nights and were told on two occasions we would be due a room refresh and neither happened which was a little frustrating and lead to us having to request extra loo roll, tea bags etc. However the owner was incredibly apologetic and helpful and a member of staff brought extra supplies up to the room for us which was appreciated.

This property has big blankets and good cosmetics. Bathroom is fresh and clean. I liked overall french theme inside

On a photo room that booked had 2 windows and was big. On check in we got smaller room on 2d floor- with big bags it was challenging to go up. Then I asked about room with 2 windows and got an answer no rooms/no change possible. Then I discovered that room and it was free - after this only I got a room that I booked. Very close to big road location - not much peaceful

Lovely staff and lovely atmosphere. Clean and fresh and very French as marketed. The meal was also excellent and as French as you can get in the UK. The best accommodation and food we have had all year.

The only thing that in some way spoilt the stay and this was nothing to do with the accommodation so no points lost for this but the town of Frome has become pretty drab and woke. Many of the shops are all weirdly vegan and green and have very little of interest in them from when i visited about 7 years ago it was lovely vibrant and shops and cafes for all tastes rather than just the woke. Just my view and for this I am unlikely to return in a hurry.

My family and I had a wonderful stay, the staff really took care of us, particularly since we were a mixed family group of 3 adults with 2 young children aged 11 and 3. They were incredibly friendly, kind and ensured that our stay was comfortable. The restaurant facility downstairs is amazing, great breakfasts, great meals during the evening (must book as it is very popular) and when my 3 year old was too tired to go downstairs they made me feel comfortable by bringing my dinner to my room. The location is great too as it is on the most popular and scenic street in the town with great access to shops. Parking is not an issue as there are some good on street parking close by. Ideal location, would definitely come again in the future.
