The house is in pleasant grounds and very peaceful. The host, Lynda and Peter, are friendly and very helpful. The accommodation is excellent - a well appointed double room with a very comfortable bed, a modern en suite with a roomy walk in shower. There was a great choice for breakfast, including home made preserves and locally sourced bacon and sausage - all very appertizing. We were only there for one night because we were using it as a stopover for a longer holiday but we were so happy with it that we wished we could have stayed longer 😁

Nothing - no niggles or complaints at all. All good 👍

Where to start, Lynda and Peter are the most fabulous hosts, they are so friendly and make you feel very welcome from the moment you arrive to when you leave. Gave some great tips on where to eat in the local area. My son and I stayed in the twin room, this room is a delight, the beds are comfy and slightly bigger than a regular single, plenty of pillows and even some extra snuggly super soft throws. A mini fridge with water and proper milk in was a beautiful touch and made the coffee taste even better in the morning. The shower is really powerful and the added extra touches in the bathroom made it even more personal. Breakfast, wow wow wow, juice, water, tea, coffee, cereal, fruit yogurt, a selection of cooked items, sausage, bacon, eggs (all local produce) and endless amounts of toast. The jam was homemade and was absolutely delicious. Having a slightly later check out time is also another great feature of staying here, especially with a very lazy teenager in tow. For us this was the perfect location for our trip to Longleat safari, took us about 15mins to drive there. I honestly can't fault it and would not hesitate to recommend or to stay there again.

There is nothing that we didn't like.

The location was a gem hidden away. There isn't enough room to say what we thought of Bwthyn Cudd. Lynda and Peter were excellent hosts; they made us feel at home from the minute we met. Spotlessly clean room, lovely comfy beds and fresh milk in the mini fridge. Breakfast was outstanding, fresh fruit and yoghurt, fruit juice, cereals, and that was just for starters: then came the tastiest full English breakfast, pancakes with lemon or maple syrup, and toast and home made jams and marmalade. I feel full just mentioning all this food. Lynda and Peter were almost comedians and always had time for a chat. We can't wait for our next short break to return to Bwthyn Cudd.

What more can we say after all the above.

We had a lovely one night stay as we did a weekend roadtrip from London to see Stonehenge and Bath. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, the room was comfortable and everything was spotless. I had never been in a 200y old house in the UK before and it had really great details preserved from the past which the hosts were kind enough to give us details about when asked. The breakfast was absolutely excellent and more than we could even eat. Both me and my friend left really happy with the choice we made to stay here and wouldn't hesitate returning or recommending the place to other travellers.

Nothing, everything was great.

Outstanding authentic hidden cottage in a small village in the Wiltshire countryside. A very short drive to the While Horse and Longleat and not far from Stonehenge. If you want to experience an authentic stay in a 250 year old West Country cottage this is a place to go! Just don't expect this place to be huge - it is a really old tastefully renovated cottage, just remember people were smaller a few hundred years ago. Breakfast is outstanding... with homemade jams and a wide selection of local produce cooked to order and the hosts are very welcoming and full of British charm....and tea. Highly recommend for a true British getaway. Don't forget to drive on the left and the roads are a bit narrow, but that is all part of the adventure. Also highly recommend exploring the area and visiting the local Pubs for Sunday lunch if you can.

Lynda and Peter were wonderfully welcoming and attentive from arrival through departure. Their food and service was beautifully presented and delicious, all freshly cooked and served hot with an evening meal if needed. I ate each evening for a week and wow!! Yum yum!! The room was big, clean, classy and with a beautiful garden and woodland view. The hosts made me feel happy and at home. Thank you so much 🙏🏻🙌🏻🌺🌺🙌🏻🙏🏻

Nohing. It's truly a lovely place to stay if holidaying or working locally like I was.

I have travelled (toured) for years. I had a "gig" for a 50th birthday party about a quarter of a mile from this booking. I booked in and discovered the most stunning place that I have stayed! This accommodation is absolutely perfect! The owners are just outstanding, and as I explained that I would return until perhaps 03.00, they explained that would not be an issue, park on the drive, if you need to watch TV, just relax! I returned at 03.20, and went to my room. The cleanliness here is just unbelievable, spotless rooms, and the attention to detail is outstanding. I wanted a hot drink on my return from my work, a small fridge had a small bottle of fresh milk for beverages) ! I have never experienced that detail. After a sleep, (I asked for breakfast at 08.30) I went downstairs to a cooked breakfast that was worthy of a 5 star hotel! Local produce is so apparent on this plate, waterless bacon, meaty sausages etc.(I asked for fried bread instead of toast, met with, and delivered perfectly). More importantly, this breakfast was served on a hot plate. This to me is paramount, why serve piping hot cooked food on a cold plate only for it to cool and go cold within seconds. Add to this, the tea was loose and not a tea bag, a fantastic touch, and those that have never had real "tea" (not in a bag!) would enjoy and appreciate the difference. If only all places were like this.

Absolutely nothing to dislike, Nothing at all!

Lynda and Peter were so welcoming and friendly, providing us with exceptional accommodation and food. The room was a good size and had a comfy double bed with crisp fresh bedding. They provided plenty of soft towels, hand wash and shower gel. In the room was also tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge which had fresh milk and filtered water which was refreshed daily. The breakfast that is included in the price was also excellent, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, a choice of cereals and a cooked breakfast with an abundance of toast home made preserves. All this was washed down with plenty of fresh brewed tea, coffee, fresh orange and filtered water.

The location was perfect for us as it was 10mins away from the wedding venue we were attending. It is in a lovely quiet setting, with parking on-site. The breakfasts were wonderful with a great choice and all cooked to order

I couldn't fault anything. Shortly after booking a room, I received an apologetic phone call to explain that the double room I had booked was not available and I was asked if we would mind staying in the twin room instead, we were only staying for a couple of nights and were happy with this. We were very kindly offered a bottle of wine to be made available on our arrival, as recompense for the mix-up which was very much appreciated.
